Jobs report? Unemployment at 7.7%? Realy?

The tale of two reports. I believe that Mark Twain had it right when he uttered his famous: "There are lies, there are damn lies and there are statistics." Only a damn fool would buy what is being represented and perpetrated against the American people as it concerns the true unemployment rate in this country.

Over 88 million Americans are not working. That is close to one third of our population. Who and what are supporting them?  And on top of that? We once again simply wrote off over a half million Americans who are out of work but who are 'no longer looking for jobs?' How exactly is that accomplished? I am not sure how that works. It seems to me that regardless of whether you have a job or not, there are expenses involved in living. Rent, food, utilities, clothing and don't forget health care. So who is paying for those necessities for these newly included 540 thousand who are 'no longer looking for a job?'

Fiscal cliff? your damn right we are headed for a fiscal cliff. I truly love that euphemism. "Fiscal cliff?" Is that what we are calling the end of America as we know it? Is that how we refer to the complete and utter collapse of our economy? We aren't looking at a fiscal cliff folks, we are looking down both barrels of a reality that is about to explode into a complete collapse of civilization as we know it and anarchy.And Barack Obama and congress have their fingers on the triggers.

Retail and service industry jobs are not what made this nation great and their limited seasonal increase will not sustain us or drag us out of the ever deepening hole. Unless it is our intention as a nation to become the third world play ground of the rich and famous in Europe and Asia, we are on a greased rail to oblivion in the very near future.

And the band plays on and Nero fiddles and the complicit media remains asleep at the switch.

Job Creation Hits 146,000, Rate at 7.7%

The U.S. economy created 146,000 new jobs and the unemployment rate slid to 7.7 percent, in a report much better than economists had expected.
Despite the effects from Superstorm Sandy, the jobs engine continued to run, albeit slowly.
The Labor Department said the storm's effects might be more accurately gauged in next months' report.

Looks like Sandy was not an issue at all in the November jobs report which beat in both the number of jobs added, at 146,000 on expectations of 85,000, while the unemployment rate declined to 7.7% from 7.9%, where it was expected to post as well. Watch this space next month for prio revisions: September and October saw 49K downward revisions combined. November will suffer the same fate.

Confused why the unemployment rate dropped? The same, favorite BLS adjustment - a drop in the labor force participation rate which declined by 0.2% to 63.6% once again, as the number of people out of the labor increased by over 540K to 88,883,000.

In terms of quality of jobs, the biggest gain was in retail jobs as expected in part of the Thanksgiving rush, which added +53K jobs, Professional and Business services rose by 43K, of which Administrative and Waste Services was +23K, and Hospitality and Leisure +23K: all los paying jobs. Construction jobs lost: 20K.

Stand for the African American National Anthem

A West Virginia high school principle has decided to incorporate and embrace the egalitarian philosophy of placation and not require students to participate, while the national anthem is played, the pledge of allegiance is recited, or the African American national anthem is played.

That's right, they are playing the African American national anthem at at least one American high school. But thankfully, those who do not want to participate, can not sit. Well....that resolves that now doesn't it.

Capital High School morning observance policy gets changed

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Capital High School is changing its policy so students will no longer be required to stand for the playing of the national anthem, pledge or anything else played over the loudspeaker during morning observances.
Principal Clinton Giles revised the policy Wednesday following an investigation by Mark Milam, assistant superintendent for Kanawha County high schools, and a conversation with Superintendent Ron Duerring.
Giles said he was "completely and totally exonerated" following the investigation, but the school is adding the words "or sit" to its policy regarding student participation during the Pledge of Allegiance.
"It was determined that if I reinsert that language . . . it would put the whole issue to rest," Giles said Wednesday in a phone interview.
The policy will now read, "during the Pledge, nonparticipating students are expected to stand or sit silently and are not to engage in any disrupting or distracting activity."
The decision comes after students and parents complained about a song played every Friday morning at the school.
The song, "Lift Every Voice and Sing," embodies "the idea that everybody is somebody at Capital," Giles told the Daily Mail. Every Friday it would be played over the school's loudspeaker directly after the national anthem and pledge. Students were required to stand for all three.
This upset at least two students and one parent.
Kim Bailey is the mother of one student who chose not to stand. She said the song is considered the "African-American National Anthem" and it was disrespectful to make students stand for it.
Her son chose not to stand and was sent to the office several times because of his decision, she said. She also said Giles made statements over the loudspeaker about the situation that "ostracized" her son.
She was glad to learn late Wednesday that the policy would change but was still upset about the situation.
"It makes me feel good, but I still think that they need to stress the fact that there is one national anthem," she said.
Giles said no student was ever punished for not standing during any portion of the morning observances. He spoke about the situation at an assembly but said he did so only to give students the facts. He said the idea he belittled students is a lie.
"There has never been an announcement made for students to stand for the playing of the African American National Anthem at Capital High School. That has never happened, won't happen," Giles said.
"There is one national anthem, the 'Star Spangled Banner,' by Francis Scott Key," he continued. "That's all I recognize; that's all I've ever recognized."

Senior Cadet quits West Point over the pervasiveness of God

 A cadet at West Point has decided to quit the academy because of the presence of prayers and religious activities that he finds offensive. Well.....not exactly. It seems that this recruit having been told that he won't be graduated and become an officer, due to his existing clinical depression, has now decided to make a political statement and attempt to use his pending dismissal from the academy as a soap box to justify attacking other cadets adn senior officers who are Christians.

Go ahead, read the intro and then follow the link to the rest of the report. If you are either a Christian or a constitutionalist, it should make your blood boil to see the system abused by someone like this individual.

A cadet quitting West Point less than six months before graduation says he could no longer be part of a culture that promotes prayers and religious activities and disrespects nonreligious cadets.

Blake Page announced his decision to quit the U.S. Military Academy this week in a much-discussed online post that echoed the sentiments of soldiers and airmen at other military installations. The 24-year-old told The Associated Press that a determination this semester that he could not become an officer because of clinical depression played a role in his public protest against what he calls the unconstitutional prevalence of religion in the military.

"I've been trying since I found that out: What can I do? What can I possibly do to initiate the change that I want to see and so many other people want to see?" Page said. "I realized that this is one way I can make that change happen."

Page criticized a culture where cadets stand silently for prayers, where nonreligious cadets were jokingly called "heathens" by instructors at basic training and where one officer told him he'd never be a leader until he filled the hole in his heart. In announcing his resignation this week on The Huffington Post, he denounced "criminals" in the military who violate the oaths they swore to defend the Constitution.

Obama trying is to protect the internet? Really?

Does anyone truly believe this? UN control of the internet would be the perfect storm for the Obama administration. Liberals have realized since the mid 90's and the advent of the internet and citizen journalist, that they cannot control the flow of information as they once did.

Hillary Clinton famously remarked back in 1996 that the internet should be controlled and regulated. I am sure that Bill would agree in the shadow of his Lewinsky affair and all of those in Washington  since who have fallen as a result of revelations that came to light of their dishonesty and sordid affairs revealed via internet reporting.

So does anyone seriously believe that given the opportunity to circumvent the first amendment? that Obama and his administration will pass on the ability to do so? I don't thinks so. I think they will continue to surreptitiously  steer their desires through the UN concerning the first amendment the same way they are surreptitiously steering their desires to see the second amendment destroyed via their proposed UN weapons treaties.

America....you had better wake up and take a look around at what is happening to your rights before it is too late.Our freedoms are under attack and the American media is asleep at the switch.

 

We’re trying to stop the UN from regulating the Internet, Ambassador Kramer says

 
A U.N. conference that kicked off today in Dubai has sparked fear of Internet censorship in the U.S. -- something U.S. Ambassador Terry Kramer said he is doing everything in his power to prevent.
“Nothing regarding the Internet do we want subject to U.N. review and regulation,” Kramer told FoxNews.com.
Monday marked the first day of an 11-day conference. Kramer, who leads the U.S. delegation at the conference, said that the first day had “gone well” and so far delegates are “still in the early stage, talking about what should be reviewed when.” No specific regulations have been debated yet.

Is Obama a Lincoln MK II

Maybe it is just me, but in the wake of Obama's re-election, there seems to be an ever increasing momentum in media to liken him to Abraham Lincoln. There is absolutely no basis in fact or record that is determinable to make such an assertion, aside from an unabashed desire to worship him by the media. At this rate, once Obama has finished his term, regardless of his record or failures, the maddened crowd of mindless minions will one day place an Obama memorial at the other end of the mall. A monument with their own great law giver seated in a marble chair and surrounded by alabaster columns. Provided they can find a way for someone else to pay for it.

MSNBC host Chuck Todd reported that a "very smart White House aide" told him that "with this Republican, with the way politics of Washington are today, there'd still be slavery." Watch here:
"You're going to like this," MSNBC host Chuck Todd said this morning on TV. "So, I threw the Lincoln analogy at a close aide to the president last week, and he said, 'You know, with this Republican, with the way politics of Washington are today, there'd still be slavery. Lincoln wouldn't have been able to navigate the polarization between the media between this--' It was an interesting and depressing observation from this very smart White House aide."

The most mindless of sports cliches.....

I somehow missed these pearls of wisdom offered up to America last night by Bob Costas during the  Chiefs game. I missed Costas' commentary for a very good reason.
 



Yes......I missed the insight provided by Bob Costas and his swooning admiration for Jason Whitlock's piece on the Belcher murder Suicide the day before. I missed it because I don't watch the NFL and I haven't in years.

I don't watch the NFL because I long ago tired of the thugs that they call players, being idolized, immortalized and worshiped for their aberrant behaviors and their in your face attitudes toward the public. These people seemed to have long ago forgotten who they are and how they came to be where they are. And the media seems to think that because someone can pass, catch or run a ball, that they are some super human person to be worshiped and idolized regardless of how they conduct your life. 

I don't know this Belcher individual and I would not recognize either his name or his photograph prior to his notorious act. But I will tell you this as it concerns what Bob Costas said last night.

I am aware of at least two other instances where personalities and color commentators have been fired by networks and run out of town for their on air pontifications during NFL games and I quite frankly don't see a dime's worth of difference in what they did and what Costas did last night. His remarks were out of place and insulting. As a matter of fact? Costas' remarks may also have been racist. Particularly if previous standards are applied in the determination of grading racism and Costas' remarks.

One thing is certain. If I still did watch the NFL,  I would not be the least bit interested in Costas or anyone else's blathering about political or social issues during, before or after the game. If they want to do that? Let them hang up their sports creds  and go be reporters or bloggers. Or they can go get a contract for being a paid pundit with some network who will pay them for their arrogance and condescending attitudes.

In the interim, I would hope that sports commentators would stick to doing what they are being paid to do. Which is to give their audience all the many insightful reasons why the viewers should completely discard all common sense and reasoning and worship these Sunday afternoon gods as the supreme beings that they and the media seem to believe them to be.

If Belcher had of been a common man and not a NFL player, no one in media would give a damn about what he did or who he killed. The fact that he was an NFL payer, apparently gives at least some the belief that his status imparts special status to his crime as a furtherance of the anti gun agenda.

Sorry Bob. Sorry NBC, but I ain't buying the manure you people are hustling.

Costas should be fired. End of story.

Jerusalem, the eternal capitol of Palestine

 So.....how long before war is waged to claim what has now been asserted as theirs? I saw very soon. Very very soon.  Compliments of a weakened America and compliments of an American president who has and will do all in his power to assure that it comes to pass.

Harry Truman was the first world lesder to recognize Israel in 1948. Barack Obama will be the first American president to recognize the Palestinian claim to Jerusalem.  "Cry Havoc!

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas Sunday promised someday the PA flag would fly over “Jerusalem, eternal capital of the state of Palestine.”
Thousands of people greeted Abbas rapturously upon his return from the United Nations, where the General Assembly granted the PLO, representing the PA, upgraded status as a nonmember observer state.
"Raise your heads high, because you are Palestinians!” Abbas told the joyous crowd, waving PA flags in the PA capital of Ramallah, located in Samaria.
