Obama's Dead Stimulus

These reports have been popping up for a week now. Many people in government and media are attempting to pass off explanations that simply don't work. A number of these people have been dead for over forty years and in the case highlighted in this report, the man had not only been dead for over thirty five years? He never was a US citizen to begin with.

The waste of the federal government is mind boggling. No wonder we are in as bad of shape as we are with entitlements.

It's been a while since I have heard that phrase?

"Truth, Justice and the American Way?"

But I can assure you that the tripe that was hustled today by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi at her latest impromptu news conference, resembles neither of the three key elements mentioned above.

This latest Washington drama, stands to be the biggest mistake ever made by any party, in its attempts to one up the opposition. Everyone who knows anything about the history of Washington politics knows, that the democrats have been a seething and writhing mass of body politic for the past eight years.

And ever since they regained majority in congress in 2006, they have sought to punish the republicans in any fashion that they could devise.

What began a few weeks ago as the president and Pelosi and Reid outing the Bush administration's torture tactics and memos and interrogation practices? Has now bounced off the wall like an untimely turd ricocheting back in their own faces.

Pelosi and Obama and the rest of the democrat rogues gallery, had hoped to spill all the juicy beans and release all of their cherry picked evidence to support the tarring of the Bush administration and hopefully obtain some criminal prosecutions in the process. They obviously hoped that they could manufacture from these recently released CIA memos and briefing papers, all the justifiable means to hopefully prosecute key members of the Bush administration for supposed criminal violations. If not the former president himself. (more leftist wishful thinking and malignant day dreaming).

Yet there appears to be more than one problem with the Obama/Pelosi/Reid thesis of Bush prosecution over EIT's. Firstly, president Obama has now backed away from releasing the remainder of the Abu Graib photographs, citing his fear that their release will spark and inspire violence against America and American military personnel. And he has equally backed away from the Dick Cheney challenge to release the "rest of the memos."

Can anyone say well "Duh!"

But wasn't that precisely what the ACLU and their rabid supporters and financiers in the democrat party were after when they filed suit to have "all" the Abu Graib photos released to begin with? Well hell yes it was and they know it and so does everyone else. These people aren't after that elusive quality of supposed justice that the ACLU likes to mention in passing at awards dinners for leftist achievements.

Justice has little to do with anything that they are involved in, aside for their own skewed version of political inspired vigilante justice and anti Americanism. Political vigilantism is that seemingly unique liberal quality that they like to call the people's supposed right to know everything. Especially when they are seeking release of information that can be be beneficial to America's enemies. And the ACLU's right to know everything? Just as long as it is believed damning to America and injurious to our way of life. They pursue these quests with a vengeance, even when their sought after "knowing of everything," obviously jeopardizes the lives of those in harms way. Those serving to protect these very swine that call themselves civil liberties lawyers and Americans, are the one's truly standing to be injured the most.

Something has happened in the past week in Washington though. A quantum shift if you will, between the original democrat game plan concerning supposed CIA torture techniques and the present pursuits of those skewed perceptions by Obama and Pelosi.

Obama is smart enough to know when to call full stop and pull back from the great abyss in the face of political liability. While Nancy Pelosi remains every bit as stupid as she looks. She doesn't have the sense to pull back or tender any mea culpa of error on any level. Part of the reasoning for that IMO, is that certain liberals are so accustomed to lying, that they immediately believe any lie that they create on any level. Nancy would be the epitome of that example. That is why the issue has now shifted to what did Nancy know and when did she know it concerning the CIA briefings of 2002 and since.

Obama backed away on the release of those photographs this week not out of any sincere due caution or sincere respect for the danger that those photographs represent to this country or our military personnel in harms way. He backed away because someone else placed a more weightier stack of chips on the table and called his raise.

In big league American poker? There is an old adage. "You got to to know when to holed em? And know when to fold em. Know when to walk away and know when to run.

Obama may not be a champion poker player, but he ain't stupid either. He saw the call of his recent actions and the raise to his intentions to attempt to disgrace the Bush administration. And he folded his hand quickly in the face of what he knows is not a bluff by the opposition and a potentially damning loss.

As an observer and an infrequent player of the game myself, I believe what we have witnessed and will continue to witness as it concerns the present goings on in Washington, is a true game of "Texas Hold em." And it is being played by some masterful folks who may not be immediately apparent or visible to the casual observer or the media. But you can count on the fact that Obama knows who they are and what they have threatened in this game of high stakes political poker.

Problem is? Dear old Nancy don't have a clue. She is clinging to that bucket of "shite and shinola" that she has been waving and thinking that she has the winning hand just as long as she slings the shinola.

That was evident today with her latest version of attempted plausible deniability over the issue of her knowledge of supposed torture methods being employed by the CIA back in 2002.

So what began as a witch hunt by the democrats against the Bush administration over the use of enhanced interrogation techniques, has now become a true witch hunt and the witch being hunted by the media at this point? Is none other than Nancy. and she has no one but herself to thank for it.

So how long before the other shoes drop and the final cards of this hand are laid on the table by everyone in the game? Nancy Pelosi may still have the ability to fold her hand and walk away, as no more than a simpleton who over wagered her hand. Or she may have past the tipping point today and soon to be forced to observe what the other players in the game are holding as pat hands to her inside straight bluff.

Either way there are certain things that can be counted on in this game. Number one, it makes little difference that Leon Panetta is the present head of the CIA or that George H. W. Bush once was. There are people there and there always have been, who know how to play the high stakes games of poker with the Washington elite, regardless of the party of current power or majority control.

And you can count on the fact that they have long since lined their beds and their cat boxes with more than enough of a paper trail, to ward off all of the shite and shinola slinging that the little minx Pelosi or the junior occupant of the White House have to offer.

And if Nancy Pelosi wants to truly see just how the game is really played by the big boys? Then all she has to do is keep running her pie hole about the CIA and calling them liars.

Something the dear lady from the land of fruit and nuts seems to have overlooked. It's not nice to step on the toes of the gate keepers and the spooks.

Read His Lips, A Change You Can Believe In

Barack Obama made a lot of promises during the campaign, not the least of which being that if elected, he intended to put it to the evil rich in America. The liberal socialist democrat battle cry of its new found leader became elect me? And I will punish the bastards! Elect me? And I will provide you with more milk and honey than you could ever imagine. And the best part? Not one dime of your money will ever be touched in the process and you won't be taxed to pay for any of it!

Better jobs, more affordable homes and free health care! It will all be laid at your feet and I will accomplish it all? By simply turning the screws on those evil rich folks. those who refuse to share and those who prevent life from being more fair.

And if you make less than $250,000 a year? Never fear! You will be getting a tax break! 95% of Americans will be getting a tax break! Even that 38% that pays no taxes and is already subsidized from cradle to grave with OPM (other people's money.)

Those were the promises. Does anyone remember? Does anyone remember the pleas of the woman to Obama on the campaign trail about her house and her job and his assurances that he would take care of it all for her? Just as soon as he became president. Anyone else remember looking into the faces of those who were interviewed by the media last fall? The 'Obamatrons' for lack of a better description, those that honestly believed that as soon as Obama was elected? All of their wants and needs would be taken care of by the new pope of change and the socialist messiah of mana from other people's heaven?

I remember them. I remember looking into their eyes and seeing the duped daze of the ill informed and uneducated and patently stupid. And I remember thinking....."these people actually believe that this guy can walk on water and that he will pull some stunt with the federal treasury? That makes Jesus' sermon on the mount and the loaves and fishes look like a parlor trick.

But I knew what I was looking at and listening to, as did many other Americans who were being belittled and shouted down as divisive if not openly racist for opposing the messeanic one. And now the reality is beginning to settle in for the dupes and the something for nothing crowd. Or is it nothing more complicated than the chickens have finally come home to roost as it were.

Once all the lies and the deceit and the bluster and the bluff of the man and his party have been pared away, the stark reality is that this junior senator from Illinois and the political party of socialist lies and angst, has once again pulled the wool completely over the eyes of a nation.

Don't get me wrong....he fully intends to punish the rich in this country (otherwise known as the producers), but to reach his desired goals of power and control over all of the people, he must also purge the little people with the fire of stealth taxation. Obama and those who know him for what he really represents, knew all too well, that the math of his proposals and policies simply didn't add up. There was no way that he could do what he bragged of being capable of doing, by only targeting the supposed evil rich and taking what they had. There simply wasn't/isn't enough money in their bank accounts. The real money is in the collective taxation of all of life.

So he did what all good practitioners of the Marxist theory do, he changed the parameters of the game after he was elected. He moved the goal post and redefined the rules and the definitions of policy in mid play. And the people are only now beginning to see the results.

His first maneuver was to dramatically increase the federal tax on cigarettes and tobacco. He promised the poor and disadvantaged that he would never raise taxes on them remember? But he went right after them as a class and as those comprising the majoring of smokers and tobacco users. But it was for a good cause, he was only looking for funding of children's health care.

And as a result, he has led tens of thousands of smokers to the title of 'former smokers." These people have finally seen the light and done for the sake of their pocketbooks, what they refused to do for their health. They simply quit the habit. Which in reality is a good thing, but it still fails to solve the original problem Obama's intended tax increase was supposed to address.

You See....when the golden goose (in this case tobacco) is taxed and strangled by regulation too much? It simply ceases to function and it ceases to produce at the desired and anticipated levels of dreamed of taxation. The goose dies.

The golden goose premise of liberal taxation suddenly becomes the dead duck reality of more failed socialist policy. And the new mad rush by the lost souls of liberal socialism, is to attempt to find another source of 'funding' for their dream works. Yes funding....that is the key buzz word for taxation and the taking it away and outright theft from the producers. And as always, it is done in reality to line the pockets of the elite and their vote buying schemes. They simply have to find a new and improved way of funding (taxing) something? And all the good little blind mice will continue to follow the Pied Piper.

Meanwhile, the stark reality remains the same. Nothing in life is free. Someone always ends up paying for the free lunch and Obama's health care proposals are no different. Having already lost the battle of taxation on cigarettes and tobacco? Hr and his merry band of take it from the rich socialist are now setting their sights on alcohol and even better yet? Those demon inspired sugary sodas!

That's right folks, the obama team of read my lips, no new taxes? Well they are coming after you! All of you! Each and everyone of you! But have no fear, it's all in your better interest and it will ultimately be for your benefit and the betterment of the collective. And besides, the money will be spent wisely, as it always is by Washington and those who live in the real forests of Nottingham (AKA Washington).

Smokers, drinkers to carry tax burden?

See how the great leader of change is really going to finance his rabbits and hat tricks. See who is really going to pay for it all. Then just remember and take comfort in the knowledge that you are safe. It's only the evil rich who have need of fear and they deserve to live in fear. Right? As they are both evil and rich.

But that is soon to be changed, as the Obama messiah is the new king of robbing the hood.

The New Special Forces War in Afghanistan

Gen. David McKiernan Sacked - A Bold Move By President Barack Obama

President Barack Obama has made a bold and decisive move firing Gen. David McKiernan over a year before his normal rotation. He is not only signaling a change in direction and philosophy in the war in Afghanistan (see my TYT comment on Feb. 21, 2009), he has also sent a signal to the Pentagon that the Department of Defense is under his command and will follow his philosophy or those that don't will be removed.

This story hit the media yesterday and almost died a peaceful and non eventful death un-noticed by most Americans, but a few journalist resurrected it today after having had a full day to digest just what had happened. And they realized that this was a bigger story than some simple command shift in Afghanistan.

A veteran combat general has been fired and his career ended with the stroke of a pen and a new policy change by the new president. The new commander in chief stepped into the arena and asserted himself and his strategy and his plan of what will now be followed as a battle plan according to him.

The bottom line of what has really happened?

President Hamid Karzi voiced his displeasure last week over the killing of a number of Afghan civilians during American military actions in Afghanistan against the Taliban. And president Obama reacted precisely the way the Taliban had anticipated and hoped that he would, with the aid of the dupe Karzi.

The junior senator now president, knee jerked and fired the theater commander (General David McKiernan) as a placation to Karzi and others who have complained of civilian casualties. However, the larger picture is as usual overlooked and missed by both the media and the man who is supposedly now in charge of all American military forces and strategic planning.

And that reality is as old as the concept of war with the Asian mind IMO. Many Americans believe when they hear the word Asian, that it only represents the yellow races of Chinese and other far eastern Asians. But it also represents those in the middle east and their Asian mental mindsets of warfare are very similar to those of their Oriental cousins when observed and noted over time.

During the Vietnam war, the north Vietnamese learned quickly, that their best and most formidable weapon against the Americans, was the American media. And they played to the media at every opportunity. Life held and holds little meaning to the typical Asian mind during war. They don't look at the value of human life beyond it's value as an expendable commodity or as a tool. Therefore, human life means little to them as does who has to be killed or who has to die, in order for them to reach their desired objectives.

The objective is always more important than the expense of human life when considered and weighed by the Asian mind.

During the Vietnam war, it was a common practice and a common tactic to place innocent villagers amongst Viet Cong military forces and around their military high value targets. They knew quite well and realized early on, that if American forces or American air power were used against them with civilians present, there would be an immediate outcry of unnecessary collateral damage by the American media.

The same is presently being applied by the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They are forcing civilians into areas around their strong holds and bunkered safe houses, knowing full well that if American forces attack? They may very well kill a few Taliban fighters, but they will also kill far more "innocent" civilians.

America cannot fight this war with it's hands tied by the politically correct tactics of a media that doesn't have the sense to know when it is being played. These are obvious and proven tactics as applied by a savage and brutal enemy. And an enemy more than willing to expend the lives of innocent people, in order to inflict psychological and media damage against an enemy that it knows cannot be beaten on the battlefield.

The battlefield has to be expanded to the nightly news, like it was forty years ago, if these terrorist murderers are to have any hope of winning against the Goliath of America. And this week? They claimed a valued prize. They took down the American theater commander General David McKiernan. President Obama fell for the ploy hook line and sinker and served up the general and in essence ended his distinguished military career over simple media and political expediency.

Obama replaced General McKiernan with a special forces commander and will see this new commander promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General, before he assumes command as the new American commander in Afghanistan. But the junior senator from Illinois (now president) has failed to see the trap that has been set for him (by the Taliban) and one that he has willingly walked into with eyes wide open.

The messianic one has from day one been hell bent on figuring out a way to end the war in both Iraq and Afghanistan, so that he can reroute and reclaim the money committed to, these wars for his own socialist desires of entitlements and more socialist programs. But he fails to recognize the danger of his actions. And that danger is now staring him and him alone squarely in the eyes.

No longer will Obama be able to blame everything on his predecessor Bush. Not now. As now he has taken the full mantle of responsibility onto his own shoulders and set course for a full scale sea change and complete alteration of course for the war in Afghanistan.

From here on in (if your read the president's stated intent of tactics) America will fight a limited war in Afghanistan and one more finely tuned to 'special operations tactics and special forces units." Hence the the firing of General McKiernan and the entrance of newly promoted General Stanley A. McChrystal.

General McChrystal is a fine general officer with a fine record, but so was General McKiernan. But General Mckiernan's record meant little to the politically expedient manuvering of placating a puppet Afghan president and an easily led and manipulated American media.

From this point forward, the war in Afghanistan rests squarely on Obama's shoulders and those of his new all star general, who is the supposed specialist in "limited warfare."

But somehow? I don't think that the honeymoon will last that long for either General McCrystal or his boss. The Taliban has plans for the junior G man from Illinois and his eagerness to be apologetic and sympathetic to their obvious ploys that he is too foolish to recognize.

And it won't take long for them to hand him his butt as this drama continues to unfold. America's willingness to win the war against Islamic terror has been sapped by its new president. He wants a quick fix and an easy way out and he will get neither.

I can only believe that by this time next year, it will be all too evident where the mistakes were made and who made them. But the sacrifice will not only be America's military, it will also fall on the newly promoted commander about to step into the breech for the last time. His career is also on the way down, problem is? He hasn't realized it yet.

Take a Stand For Life

That is exactly what some Notre Dame seniors and their families are planning for the Obama visit next week. It's really rather simple IMO. The university of Notre Dame, a catholic institution, should not be inviting anyone to be a speaker at their university, who's policies and principles are diametrically opposed to the teachings of the church and the principles and faith held dearly by many of its students and alumni.

Political correctness has it's bounds and the university has crossed those bounds for perceived political bounty.

Declining Notre Dame: A Letter from Mary Ann Glendon

Dear Father Jenkins,

When you informed me in December 2008 that I had been selected to receive Notre Dame’s Laetare Medal, I was profoundly moved. I treasure the memory of receiving an honorary degree from Notre Dame in 1996, and I have always felt honored that the commencement speech I gave that year was included in the anthology of Notre Dame’s most memorable commencement speeches. So I immediately began working on an acceptance speech that I hoped would be worthy of the occasion, of the honor of the medal, and of your students and faculty.

Last month, when you called to tell me that the commencement speech was to be given by President Obama, I mentioned to you that I would have to rewrite my speech. Over the ensuing weeks, the task that once seemed so delightful has been complicated by a number of factors.

First, as a longtime consultant to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, I could not help but be dismayed by the news that Notre Dame also planned to award the president an honorary degree. This, as you must know, was in disregard of the U.S. bishops’ express request of 2004 that Catholic institutions “should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles” and that such persons “should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions.” That request, which in no way seeks to control or interfere with an institution’s freedom to invite and engage in serious debate with whomever it wishes, seems to me so reasonable that I am at a loss to understand why a Catholic university should disrespect it.

Then I learned that “talking points” issued by Notre Dame in response to widespread criticism of its decision included two statements implying that my acceptance speech would somehow balance the event:

• “President Obama won’t be doing all the talking. Mary Ann Glendon, the former U.S. ambassador to the Vatican, will be speaking as the recipient of the Laetare Medal.”

• “We think having the president come to Notre Dame, see our graduates, meet our leaders, and hear a talk from Mary Ann Glendon is a good thing for the president and for the causes we care about.”

A commencement, however, is supposed to be a joyous day for the graduates and their families. It is not the right place, nor is a brief acceptance speech the right vehicle, for engagement with the very serious problems raised by Notre Dame’s decision—in disregard of the settled position of the U.S. bishops—to honor a prominent and uncompromising opponent of the Church’s position on issues involving fundamental principles of justice.

Finally, with recent news reports that other Catholic schools are similarly choosing to disregard the bishops’ guidelines, I am concerned that Notre Dame’s example could have an unfortunate ripple effect.

It is with great sadness, therefore, that I have concluded that I cannot accept the Laetare Medal or participate in the May 17 graduation ceremony.

In order to avoid the inevitable speculation about the reasons for my decision, I will release this letter to the press, but I do not plan to make any further comment on the matter at this time.

Obama's Gun Registration Treaty

Under the auspices of an international treaty? President Obama is attempting to sail this piece of gun control legislation through the senate and the house under the radar of the American people. And even Lou Dobbs of CNN can see what is afoot with this treaty and the threat and the danger presented to our second amendment rights.

Less than 10% of the weapons used by the Mexican drug cartels are coming from America, yet Obama and his socialist administration are using that as a ruse to attempt to ratify this treaty. And they are lying and scamming the American people and the media is in collusion with them on the lie.

If this treaty passes? Not only will they establish a national firearms registry, but all American gun owners will immediately be identifiable to at least 29 other UN member nations. All of which literally hate this nation, our freedoms and everything that we stand for.

Americans had better wake up and put a stop to this treaty and the man who is floating such lunacy as desirable policy.

As someone else has already said. "I will keep my religion and my guns and you can keep the change."
