The first Gay President?

I remember when they crowned Bill Clinton the first black president, but I have to admit, this is down right funny. Not because they did it, but because of the reaction that had to have happened when Obama learned of what had been done. And how does he get around having his photo plastered all over the world now on the cover of Newsweek.

Kinda beats the brakes off of being Time's "Man of the Year" don't it.

First Gay President' in shocking cover talking about his support of same-sex marriage

By Meghan Keneally

In a gutsy move, Newsweek has released the cover of their next issue, on the cover of which they depict President Obama with a rainbow halo and the title of 'The First Gay President'.
The news-magazine, which hits stands Monday, is using the shock factor of labeling the straight, married, father-of-two President to draw attention to itself.
Tina Brown, who heads the magazine and it's sister website The Daily Beast, is known for her appreciation of controversial covers to help boost public interest and sales.

After Time magazine went with a cover shot of a young blonde mother breastfeeding her 3-year-old boy, Ms Brown is said to have taken it in stride, saying 'let the games begin!'
The article accompanying the cover was written by the news magazine's regular blogger, Andrew Sullivan, who is an openly gay self-titled conservative political pundit.

'When you step back a little and assess the record of Obama on gay rights, you see, in fact, that this was not an aberration. It was an inevitable culmination of three years of work,' Mr Sullivan said in a statement about the article.
'He had to discover his black identity and then reconcile it with his white family, just as gays discover their homosexual identity and then have to reconcile it with their heterosexual family,' he wrote, describing the similarities between Mr Obama and the gay community.

UPDATE: There is a war on drugs and they are winning.

They aren't just killing and murdering people wholesale in Mexico, they are literally slaughtering them weekly. Where is the American media on this? Where are all the human rights organizations? Where is the Untied Nations.

This is not simply violence, this is barbarism and it is headed our way soon.

UPDATE: I posed this question yesterday. Today I received the cartoon below in email. Fitting

Forty-nine headless corpses found in Mexico

Suspected drug gang killers dumped 49 headless bodies on a highway near Mexico's northern city of Monterrey in one of the country's worst atrocities in recent years.
The mutilated corpses of 43 men and 6 women, whose hands and feet had also been cut off, were found in a pile on a highway in the municipality of Cadereyta Jimenez in the early hours of Sunday, officials from the state of Nuevo Leon said.
"What's complicating the identification of all the people was that they were all headless," said Jorge Domene, the Nuevo Leon government's spokesman for public security, who said the other body parts were missing.
Domene said the brutal Zetas drug gang claimed responsibility for the murders in a message found at the scene.
The massacre was the latest in a string of mass slayings that have convulsed Mexico in recent months, many of them in the north of the country, where the Zetas have waged a war against rival groups for control of smuggling routes.
The Zetas gang was founded by deserters from the Mexican army who became enforcers for the Gulf cartel, which once dominated the drug trade in northeastern Mexico. Leaders of the Zetas later split from their employers and the two gangs have since fought for control of trafficking routes.
The Zetas have also been at war with the powerful Sinaloa cartel on the other side of the country.

We look just like Mississippi

I'd like to be a fly on the wall at the next national convention of governors. I'd like to see how this rube responds to and explains herself to the governor of Mississippi. I imagine that she doesn't really care. As a rule, liberals have little class or social graces. Offending others seems to be a practiced and revered art.

Meanwhile the governor of North Carolina has placed herself squarely in opposition to the desires of the people of North Carolina.  Let's hope that the voters square the score come election time, or better yet, maybe they might have a recall election for this twit of an egalitarian front person of the attack on America.

In an interview with Greenville, N.C. NBC affiliate WITN on Friday, North Carolina’s outgoing Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue ripped her own constituents for voting to restrict legal unions to heterosexual couples.
The gay marriage ban passed by an overwhelming 62-to-38 percentage point margin, but that didn’t stop Perdue from attacking North Carolina — and then lashing out at Mississippi.
“It’s wrong for North Carolina, clearly, clearly and simply,” Perdue said. “People around the country are watching us, and they’re really confused. To have been such a progressive, forward-thinking, economically driven state that invested in education and that stood up for the civil rights of people, including the civil rights marches back in the ‘50s and ‘60s and ‘70s — folks are saying, ‘What in the world is going on in North Carolina?’ We look like Mississippi.”
Mississippi Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves criticized the comparison on Friday.
“Gov. Perdue should know that her administration has a lot of work to do to make her state’s business climate ‘look like Mississippi,’ he told NBC-17. “We are creating an environment which encourages the private sector to invest capital in Mississippi, and I would invite any North Carolina-based company wanting to move to a lower-taxed, less-regulated state to look at our business-friendly opportunities.”

The coming consequences

What are the consequences of living beyond your means? Most Americans understand the principle. Now the people of  California are going to get a first hand lesson in the reality of socialism gone wild and the bill coming due. California was down the tubes budget and debt wise long before Swartzenegger ever took office and repeatedly tried to lead the pigs away from the trough. All  to no avail. And now comes Jerry Brown with the really bad news and the kicker is that he is a liberal and he is responsible for a lot of what has happened via his first terms in office. .

Stay tuned. The exact same thing is about to happen to France and Spain and most of Europe. You cannot continue to live off of money that is borrowed and taxed from the producers. At some point the bill comes due and that is precisely what is happening in California. Thank the unions and egalitarian socialism for the death of California. Maybe we can get a good salvage price for it from the Mexicans. .

California deficit has soared to $16 billion, Gov. Jerry Brown says

Getprev
Gov. Jerry Brown announced on Saturday that the state's deficit has ballooned to $16 billion, a huge increase over his $9.2-billion estimate in January.
The bigger deficit is a significant setback for California, which has struggled to turn the page on a devastating budget crisis. Brown, who announced the deficit on YouTube, is expected to outline his full budget proposal on Monday in Sacramento.
"This means we will have to go much further, and make cuts far greater, than I asked for at the beginning of the year," Brown said in the video.
Lawmakers and others were hoping that a rebounding economy would help the state avoid steep cuts to social services. But revenue in April, the most important month of the year for income taxes, fell far short of expectations, leading to a shortfall of at least $3 billion in the current fiscal year.
The state has also spent $2.1 billion more than expected, according to the controller, further worsening California's financial health.
Advocates involved in budget discussions say they expect deeper cuts to social services than Brown originally proposed in January. Union officials are also in negotiations with administration officials about ways to reduce state payroll costs, an issue that wasn't on the table earlier this year.
Brown has said there will be even deeper cuts, mostly to public education, if voters do not improve tax hikes in November. He is seeking a quarter-cent increase in the state sales tax for four years and a seven-year hike on incomes of $250,000 or more that will range from 1 to 3 percentage points. He says the measure would raise $9 billion in the upcoming budget year.

Obama's homosexual agenda. 'Its the politics stupid.'

For those who may believe that Obama's recent revelations of evolving were something spontaneous and completely unrelated to his re-election campaign, guess again. In less than 24 hours his campaign had rolled out a complete line of Obama gear specifically aimed at homosexuals and lesbians and the transgenger crowd.

Have a look for yourself.

Operation Crossroads

Interesting.

Apologies are in order

Another Afghan masquerading as a soldier has killed yet another American soldier and wounded others. So, I guess it is time for the apologist in chief Obama to scrape and bow and kiss the backsides of the Muslim world once again.  Certainly he must apologize again for America. How else could we as a nation possibly respond to such and understandable action.

The sad part of all of this, is that if this country is lucky (and I mean real damn lucky) we might just vote this bass turd out of office in November. Which means it will be at least February of next year before we can hope to change the game plan and rules of engagement in Afghanistan. Too late for those who have already died at the hands of his incompetence and those will continue to die under this idiotic and catastrophic administration.

Man wearing Afghan National Army uniform kills American soldier, official says

KABUL -- A man wearing an Afghan National Army uniform opened fire on coalition troops in eastern Afghanistan on Friday, killing an American and wounding two others, officials said.

"An Afghan Army soldier turned his weapon against US soldiers inside an Afghan-US military base in Kunar Province, killing one US soldier and injuring two others," provincial police chief Ewaz Mohammad Naziri told AFP.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, claimed in a text message sent to AFP that 12 American soldiers were killed. The group often exaggerates casualty figures.

Earlier, NATO's mission in Afghanistan, the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), said in a statement that "an individual in Afghan army uniform turned his weapon against coalition service members in eastern Afghanistan today, killing one service member."

It comes just four days after three coalition troops were killed by an improvised explosive device (IED) in eastern Afghanistan.

On Sunday, another soldier was killed in an IED attack, and a man wearing an Afghan National Army uniform shot dead one coalition service member in southern Afghanistan.

The Taliban announced the start of its "spring offensive" last Thursday. Seven Afghans, many of them children, died after a large bomb exploded in Kabul last week, with the Taliban claiming responsibility.

A total of 20 NATO soldiers have been killed by Afghan colleagues in at least 15 separate attacks so far this year.
