Another Hero Returns Home
This is how I spent my day today. Escorting another fallen hero home. We will attend his funeral and escort this Saturday.
Those are Patriot Guards completely encircling the plane on the tarmac. And all later mounted up and escorted the body and the family back home to McDonough Ga.

We welcomed home Cpl. Loren Buffalo a couple of weeks ago. Looks like the same jet.

Kalitta Charters brings them all home now. We have met several of their planes over the last year.
ReplyDeleteSomeone decided that transporting their remains in the cargo holds of commercial jets wasn't a fitting return. I tend to agree. Kalitta often carries more than one at a time. Last year, we met one at Dobbins and we were the third of his day.
It was a special moment on the tarmac again yesterday.
And Thank God that it's not like our day!
