Greed and materialism are the new norm and most practiced religion of mainstream America. For mainstream Americans, it is all about their stuff. Who has the most desirable bling, who has the latest bling, who has the most bling. This country is headed down the rabbit hole of fiscal and economic oblivion and the misery to follow and once again Americans are more than happy to oblige the fantasy that they must be there first to get the best deals on the cherished adult toys, even though they know they can't pay for it.
Watching this maddening frenzy is more and more sickening to me each year. The morning headlines of overnight frenzy tell the tale of what this nation has become and where we are headed. We have become a 24/7 nation of immediate self gratification and self serving possession for the sake of a media hyped fantasy desire to be able to possess the latest gadget.
Watching the videos and reading the reports in the news this morning of the overnight madness, only serves as a viewing window of where we are truly headed and what we can truly expect once the economic collapse of this nation arrives. When the economic collapse happens, the frenzy won't be about grabbing the latest wide screen television or the latest 5G iphones and laptops. When America's economic collapse arrives we will be watching the riots in the streets and the burning and the mayhem over food and the basics needed for survival
So indulge yourselves and revel in you victories at the malls America. Enjoy yourselves while you can. Grab all the bling that you can carry. Just remember this, when the bill for your over indulgence and your decadence and your disregard for the things that matter does comes due, (and it will) the things that you now cherish the most and the things that you now worship the most, will be little more than debris in the background of a reality that will be too painful to endure.
But don't worry, the government will be there to save you. The president you just re-elected has promised it.
