USS Enterprise Captain Owen Honors Suspended pending further investigation.
The U.S. Navy has temporarily suspended the captain accused of making raunchy videos in an apparent effort to entertain his sailors.
Capt. Owen Honors will be relieved of his duties until an official investigation is complete, sources told ABC News.
The videos, which used homophobic slurs, mimicked masturbation and featured scenes of women showering together, were made and broadcast between 2006 and 2007 when Honors was the second in command of the USS Enterprise.
When the videos were created, the naval vessel was operating in support of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.
The video was leaked to the Virginian-Pilot newspaper on Saturday. It contains several skits, including one where two female sailors stand in a shipboard shower stall pretending to watch each other before Honors joins them.
In another, Honors pretends he's masturbating and uses a slur to refer to homosexuals. A later skit shows sailors simulating a rectal exam.
But not everyone is outraged. On the Enterprise's Facebook page, several sailors and their families came rushing to Honors' defense.
This is nothing but a politically correct inspired witch hunt. Specifically designed to placate homosexuals who have finally won their ability to be flamingly open in the US military. And now they want their pound of flesh from these services.
This won't be the end of it. And yes, there will be blood. Now that homosexuals have been given the US government's blessing to flaunt their sexuality and rub it in the face of their commanders, there most definitely will be blood.
