I was having a conversation with a friend yesterday. I explained my perspectives on journalism media and entertainment media. And it is pretty simple.
The jounalistic media? Has long since lost the script to what their funtion is and was supposed to be.
Included in the first amendment? The media was entrusted with one of the greatest of responsibilities.
That of being the watch dogs and gate keepers of our freedom. Specifically, by holding the government and elected officials, accountable to the people.
That is why the phrase:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press"
However, the media in America, of the last sixty years, have abandoned and abridged that sacred right, by bowing to political bias and the almighty dollar.
And in doing so, they have also joined with present day Marxist forces, to abridge the people's right of free speech.
As it concerns the entertainment media?
For at least the last twenty five years, those in Hollywood and televised entertainment, have opted to create media that proffers political bias, alternative sexual life styles and sexuality, and values that do not represent the mainstream or core values and morals of the majority of America.
And as of the last two years? They have sought to cancel anyone, who does not embrace their alternative, alien, anti American and Marxist values.
And the results of that have revealed themselves in the loss of viewers and movie attendance. And the loss of corporate dollars.
The bottom line is this. I like most Americans have decided? That if we want to be preached to, we will go to church.
However, when we pay money to see a movies? Or subscribe to a televised program? Or turn on our televisions to watch news or entertainment programming?
We want two things and only two things. We want to be informed? Or entertained.
We do not want to be told that or values and principles no longer matter. Or that we are bad or wrong, because we do not embrace those views. Or that we have to embrace the new age woke mentality of the counter culture. Or else.
I and many others? Lived through and survived the first waves of the counter culture in the 69's. I did not like or embrace it then and I damn sure do not like it or embrace it now.
And those are my feelings in a
nutshell and from the published reviews and corporate statements of these entertainment entities and news organizations? It appears to me that I am not alone.
Your thoughts.
