Jordan's king fires Cabinet amid protestsSo how long before the rest of the middle east follows suit? The middle east is comprised of authoritarian tribal despots, (always has been) therefore, it is only reasonable that the people would at some point revolt and seek to raise themselves up from the abject and subservient lives that they are mired in.
Jordan's King Abdullah II fired his government Tuesday in the wake of street protests and asked an ex-prime minister to form a new Cabinet, ordering him to launch immediate political reforms.
The dismissal follows several large protests across Jordan- inspired by similar demonstrations in Tunisia and Egypt - calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Samir Rifai, who is blamed for a rise in fuel and food prices and slowed political reforms.A Royal Palace statement said Abdullah accepted Rifai's resignation tendered earlier Tuesday. The king named Marouf al-Bakhit as his prime minister-designate, instructing him to "undertake quick and tangible steps for real political reforms, which reflect our vision for comprehensive modernization and development in Jordan," the palace statement said.
But what follows after these present despots are deposed by the likes of Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood and radical Islamist? That reality will be the cure that is worse than the disease, but it will be too late at that point to change what has happened..
The middle east is being transformed and it will not become a region of peace in the transformation. If anything, Israel's days are numbered.
These middle eastern rulers were and are tyrants and authoritarians make no mistake, but they were our authoritarian tyrants. At least until the age of Jimmy Carter and followed on by Barack Obama. Now they will become the Allies of Militant Islam and they will be ruled by clerics and Sharia, just like the Iranians of Carter's creation.
Over the past two months we have seen Lebanon fall to Hezbollah. Tunisia has been toppled by unrest perpetuated by leaked classified information that America allowed to escape into the media. And now Egypt is in it's own death throes before a new government emerges from the ashes of the soon to be deposed Mubarek.
And based on these recent events, it looks like the rest of the middle east may very well be trying to get ahead of the troubles that they see looming on their own horizons. Hence the moves by Jordan's king.
Make no mistake, these kings of Arabia and Persia and Africa are not interested in human rights or democracy, and neither is what is waiting in the wings to replace them. But the people will cry out for it none the less.
The radical elements of Islam are assembling in these kingdoms to bring forth their militant jihad that has been building for the last thirty years. Militant Islam will soon see its sphere of control stretching from the nations of Africa to the middle east and on to Malaysia. And in each instance as we sit and do nothing the reach and control of militant Islam will become more and more of a global reality.
Expect to see those in the United Arab Emirates exhibiting the same contrition in the weeks and months ahead, along with Qutar and Saudi Arabia and yes, even Iraq and Afghanistan will follow suit. Even as we maintain a presence in those countries. And Somalia and Libya and the rest will all follow as time passes.
The dominoes of Islamic insurgency have been set into motion and while America stands idly by and does nothing, the entire complexion of the middle east, Malaysia and Africa will be transformed into the Juggernaut of militant Islam.
Softly softly catchy monkees.....it has begun. Prepare yourselves.

There is a consequence to political action... or inaction. Sometimes the consequence of inaction is often them most damaging.
(the only question for me is... were we actively complicit in this?)
