Obama looks at climate engineering

John Holdren told The Associated Press in his first interview since being confirmed last month that the idea of geoengineering the climate is being discussed. One such extreme option includes shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun's rays. Holdren said such an experimental measure would only be used as a last resort.

"It's got to be looked at," he said. "We don't have the luxury of taking any approach off the table."

OK, at first blush, this has got to be lunacy right? Wrong. These people are dead serious and the messianic one has placed them in key positions in his administrations, with both the budget and the say so to make and change police on a global scale (pun intended) as it concerns this and other global warming schemes.

Is this not scary? Because if it isn't I don't know what is. I remember not that long ago (about thirty five years ago) when we were being told that if we didn't get rid of all the particulate matter in the atmosphere from pollution? We were all going to die from black lung and our babies would be born blind with added appendages.

So we spent billions scrubbing coal fired plants and we spent billions more taking the lead out of fuels and putting catalytic converters on all cars made after 1975. And sure enough, the skies cleared over our most congested cities. But now it has come to be revealed by scientists? That maybe some of those particulates were shielding us from solar radiation.

So let's revue. Scrub coal and other fossil fuels of their supposed pollutants? And we get cleaner air, cleaner water and more planetary warming. Not to mention, more skin cancers and respiratory problems increasing for the young and old at exponential rates.

And now? These same politically and ideologically motivated minions of ecological doom? Want to do what? What was that? What did they say? They want to "pollute the air" so that they can save the planet? Yes! That was it! I knew I read it right the first time. And the real kicker to all of this lunacy? The president of the United States is on board with this pipe dream and he has put people in positions of authority to accomplish it.
