Cry Havoc!

After months of rioting in Atlanta.  After six Atlanta police officers were fired and criminally charged for doing their jobs last year, during those same riots and civil unrest?

After last weekend, where there were 24 shootings and five people killed in Atlanta alone.  After a gun battle at Atlantic station in the city yesterday. After the city's homicide rate is over 50% above what it was last year?

Everyone from the city's mayor Keisha Bottoms, to councilman Michael Julian Bond, to the newly elected DA Fani Willis?

All seem to have come to the conclusion, that crime is out of hand and something has to be done.

The DA going as far as to say? That "the police need help!"

Add to that? The city's decision last year to close the city jail. Opting to turn it into a halfway house. And added to that, the implementation of no cash bonds for anything less than a major felony. Just sign your name and walk out the door, regardless of charges.

No, I am afraid that it is far more complicated, than the police need help. This country needs help. This city needs help. This society needs help.

And help won't come from some commission on crime, as the Atlanta mayor has suggested.

I don't believe, that you have to be a farmer or a 4 H Club member, to understand the age old axiom. Of closing the barn door after the cow is gone.

I am sorry folks? But that train has left the station.

And aside from the continued loss of police officers nation wide, no one is beating down the doors at recruiting offices, to put on a badge and a gun in any city in America today.

Because to do so, will lead to them being abused at the least and fired and criminally charged at the worst.

No one is applying anymore? Because they too see the TV news and they too read the funny papers.

Nope, we are about six exits past wishing and hoping and creation of crime commissions.

The die has been cast.

I warned people years ago, that the thin blue line that separated civil society from anarchy? Was one generation from being erased. And that time has now come.

Those of blm and antifa and their leftist supporters in mayors offices and governors mansions and congress have created the present reality.  And now? They are searching for answers why.

Yes, there are still a few police officers in this country, who want to do the job; however, if they believe they are going to be allowed to in the present social atmosphere?  They are on a fool's errand.

Ever since the last four years of the Obama administration, police officers in America, have been prevented from doing their jobs to protect anyone but themselves.

They have been consistenly set upon, attacked and ambushed. And no one seems to notice or care. Other than the criminals and the thugs and the wannabes.

They watch TV too. And what they see? Is a clear message.

Do as you please, no one is going to try and stop you. And if anyone does? Especially if they are wearing a police uniform? Resist them, fight them, attack them!  And capture it all on your cell phone camera.

Add to that, the days of the police In America being allowed to protect themselves is on the way out the door also. Calls to disarm the police have already begun.

Watch closely what happens in NC tonight and nationally, in the wake of the DA in Elizabeth city NC, declaring today that the shooting death by police, of Andrew Brown was justified.

It is not that many Americans do not appreciate the police, or understand that they had a hard enough job as it was, pre-Obama.

The sad truth is, few if any are willing to stand up or speak truth to the realities, unfolding before our eyes.

An old mayonaise commercial use to say: "If you want real

Mayonaise? You are going to have to break a few eggs."

That reality applied to the present day social collapse of law enforcement rings equally prescient.

If you want to be protected?  The police are going to have to be allowed to do their jobs. They are going to have to be backed and supported, by the citizenry, their departments and elected officials, top to bottom.

And for the police to be able to do their jobs? They are going to have to be able to do their jobs. And they are going to have to break a few eggs.

A tall order. And from a practical sense? Something that is not going to be allowed. Not in this life time. We have come too far down the rabbit hole. Only now realizing? That it led to the great abyss.

And that is precisely where this nation stands today. On weakened legs and wobbly knees, trying desperately to keep themselves from teetering over the edge.

But I can tell you a few things for sure. If anyone believes for one second? That creating crime commissions, or police review boards? Or that initiating more police training? Is going to resolve America's present condition of rising crime and rising violent crime?

You are just pissing up a rope and hoping not to be splashed.

The police are trained.

They are trained in how to subdue resisting and violent individuals. They are trained how to utilize non lethal and lethal force. And they are trained how to save lives.

The problem is? Anytime they utilize that training to intervene and arrest someone who has chosen to resist? Or anyone actively engaged in trying to kill the officer or someone else?

They are immediately deemed to be wrong and at fault.

And as of late? Those same police are being trained to die. Because the powers that be in this country? Would rather bury a police officer, than have to deal with the mob.

Shakespear once noted? "Cry havoc! And let slip the dogs of war."

And we have. Long ago.

And now that those dogs of urban war are biting all of us in the ass?

No one seems to understand why. 🤔
