Battle Lines Are Being Drawn, Now Watch What Happens

Arizona immigrant law energizes Hispanics, Democrats

Protest organizers said on Wednesday outrage over the Arizona law -- which seeks to drive illegal immigrants out of the state bordering Mexico -- has galvanized Latinos and would translate into a higher turnout for May Day rallies in more than 70 U.S. cities.

"The marches and demonstrations are going to be far more massive than they otherwise would have been," said Juan Jose Gutierrez, a Los Angeles rally organizer who runs an immigration assistance company.

The backlash began on Friday after Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed into law a measure that requires state and local police to determine a person's immigration status if there is "reasonable suspicion" they are undocumented. Critics say it is unconstitutional and opens the door to racial profiling.

Anyone that doesn't realize what is happening and what is afoot, need only watch the media coverage of this coming weekend and the May Day protests that are being planned all across America.

Lest we forget the protest of the past several years, those in the democrat party and the likes of SEIU and ACORN and the rest of Obama's activist base will be pouring it on and driving to shout down and demonize anyone who attempts to stand up for their own rights as Americans.

Watch how the media covers what will unfold. Watch the real anger and violence that these people will bring forth to further their desires, then consider how the media has covered the Tea Party protesters and attempted to portray them as the modern day Mongul hoardes.

Nancy in Wonderland

Cover girl Pelosi looking rather ... airy in D.C. glossy

So what does Nancy see when she looks in the mirror?

And what do the rest of us see?

Yeah...i could have posted one of those caricature photos of her? but what would be the point. The woman is way past being attractive on any level.

A Walk With a Friend (a short story that I penned)

It was an overcast April day. The rains had not quite made their promised arrival and the clouds were hanging low in seeming anticipation of some silent signal to be given for them to bring forth their showers, but the signal had not yet come. Not yet at least.

I was in Washington on a layover from a business trip before flying home to Charlotte. I had a few hours to kill before my flight home, so I decided to take a taxi over to Arlington where I have always enjoyed just walking the grounds and contemplating the awe and reverence of such a holy place when I was in town and had a little extra time. What better place to spend a few peaceful hours in personal reflection, than by walking through the fields of stone and the time honored memorials to those who have given and sacrificed so much for this nation. I took a taxi from my hotel to the airport and placed my single carry on in a locker, before getting my boarding pass and checking my watch. I had five hours before my flight left and my mind wandered to thoughts of what might have changed since my last visit to Arlington as I flagged another taxi.

I knew that I would recognize the familiarity of having walked those hills on a number of occasions over the years, but many had been included on Arlington’s eternal roster since I had last walked among the fallen heroes resting there, so I was sure that I would encounter more than a few new stones.

There are always certain places that I must revisit and reconnect with each time I come to Arlington. Certain tombstones that hold memories of past visits and particular views of the rolling landscape from certain locations in the cemetery. The Lord has certainly made for many spectacular images in nature, but man in his humble endeavors, has never quite equaled or surpassed the peace and serene nature that is impressed upon the soul, once you set foot on this hallowed ground.

The driver brought me to the gate and told me that he would probably be back in a few hours if I needed a ride back to the airport. As I paid my fare he thanked me and handed me one of his business cards and said…‘or you can just call this number and if I ain’t on call, I’ll be glad to come back by and get you.’ I assured him that I would and strode away through the gates and up the first long drive toward the Custis-Lee hill.

I always tend to follow the terrain and make my way around in a clockwise fashion, ultimately arriving at the top of the Custis-Lee hill to rest and ponder all that lay before me. As I stood before the great house that had once belonged to Robert E. Lee and his wife, my thoughts again began to wander. As always I will go by the amphitheater and the Tomb of the Unknowns and I will always stop and pay my respects at the marker of Audi Murphy and the tribute markers to our fallen astronauts, but it is the approach to that hill and what rests on it and the view looking out over the Potomac that I have always found the most personally moving.

As I walked slowly up the drive toward the house, I glanced over into the area known once as Mrs. Lee’s rose garden. It is here where there lay buried 2,111 souls known only but to God. The original tomb of the unknowns. Men whose bodies were brought here from numerous battlefields around Washington and Virginia during the Civil war. No one knew who they were at the time, only that they died together in their struggle and that their names were lost to the time and decay of that moment in time when brother fought against brother. Now they all rest as brothers together, united for eternity in common ground and on top of one of the most beautiful hills imaginable. And underneath a magnificent granite and stone monument.

It was here that I first saw the man who seemed to be both watching over the grounds and at the same time watching me with a certain interest and curiosity as I approached. As I made my way around the old stone memorializing those 2,111 honored dead and as I stood re-reading the inscription, the old man approached and greeted me with a kindly ‘good afternoon sir, how are you?’ I returned the greeting and we both seemed to just stand there staring at the stone before us in silence for a while.

When the old man next spoke he sort of mumbled, but with a clear sounding sort of rumbling voice. A voice that spoke of age and experience. He said…‘you know, there is a bunch of boys buried beneath that there monument. North and South and all together now and have been for pert near a hunerd and fort five years.’ I remarked that I was familiar with some of the history of the memorial and that I had visited the cemetery and this monument before. The man went on to note that he had visited it often too and that he had seen more than a few folks that looked familiar through the years passing through and stopping by to pay their respects time and again.

On that, I turned to see the old man full on, as his remark had piqued my interest. As I looked at him I found nothing either extraordinary or out of the ordinary about his appearance. He was dressed in clothes that were tailored more for gardening than anything else, but they were neat and crisp and the man presented a well kept appearance. His clothes were not soiled or indicating that they had seen either extensive service or wear, but there was the definite impression that the man was either a gardener or had something to do with grounds keeping. His shirt was a button down forest green and he wore khaki trousers and plain leather shoes, with a weathered old cap. I looked for either an insignia or an emblem on his shirt or cap and seeing none I asked….‘do you work for the park service?’ To wit the old man simply smiled and said no, he didn’t work for anyone not for a while at least. He said he just spent his days now as he could in the cemetery and conversing with folks as he found them.

I asked him if he was a veteran and he kind of tilted his cap and nodded briefly before stating ‘yep, I once was in the service, but that was a long time ago.’ As we talked we began to slowly walk around the grounds and the old man would periodically stop and point in a direction and note something of importance or significance. At one point he stopped and nodded off down one of the slopes to an area under the trees and said, ‘you know who is buried down there?’ I said no….that I did not know, but asked…‘who was it?’

The old man said ‘thars where General Montgomery Cunningham Meigs himself rests.’ As soon as he said it, I recognized the last name, but before I could say anything the old man went on to explain that General Meigs was the man most responsible for establishing what would come to be known as Arlington National cemetery. I was familiar with the history of the cemetery and General Meigs, but I delighted in listening to this old fellow rattle on with his recounting the tale as if he had told it a million times. And there was something about his telling of it that made the story mesmerizing and entertaining. Then just as abruptly as he had begun, the story ended and we were quietly walking again.

I suddenly felt completely awkward and at odds with myself. Here I had spent the better part of the last thirty minutes with this old gentleman and I had not even taken the time to introduce myself. I stopped immediately and apologized to my new acquaintance and offered my hand in introduction and my sincerest apologies for not having introduced myself sooner.

The old man just looked and nodded and smiled. He took my hand and we shook and I introduced myself and he said, my name is ‘ William’ ….”William Christman’….folks around here call me Billy. So we shook and Billy and I began walking the grounds again. Soon we were back at the front of the Custis Lee home and I remarked that they sure knew what they were doing when they chose this piece of ground for their home, as it commanded the best view of Washington and still did all these decades later. I remarked that I had read where General Lee’s son had sued the government in the late 1800’s and the Supreme Court had ruled in his favor. Stating that the government had wrongfully taken the land during the war. They returned ownership to him, but he ultimately sold it back to the government for a sum of $150,000

The old man nodded in agreement and said ‘yep, you are right on them counts.’ but he quickly added, ‘you know they don’t call it the Custis Lee house no more, ceptin when you go on them tours. They call it the Arlington House now and have for as far back as most folks can remember.’

We traveled on and my friend pointed out the graves of the Kennedy’s and the most recent addition to their family plot. Then we walked on around to the area where Joe Louis “The Brown Bomber” was buried and Billy gave me the complete history of every distinguished person and quite a few lesser known souls who are buried there and as far as the eye could see from there. He was a literal walking library of facts and knowledge of the place and the history and the people buried there.

Before I realized it, hours had passed and as I looked at my watch I realized that I only had a little over an hour to get to the airport and catch my flight. I told Billy that I had really enjoyed our walk and the encyclopedic knowledge that he seemed to possess about every aspect of the cemetery and all it’s monuments and memorials and history. Billy just smiled and said, ‘well the next time you are in town, come back by and look me up. I am here most days and I will be happy to walk with you again anytime and tell you all you want to know about Arlington.’

I thanked him and gave him one of my business cards with my cell phone numbers and email on it and told him that when he had time, he could maybe drop me an email or give me a call, as I had thoroughly enjoyed just talking with him today and would enjoy corresponding with him. Billy just smiled and then he laughed a little. He said ‘shucks mister….I never have gotten around to learning any of them new fangled things. I just keep it all up here’ and he pointed to his hat. I said well you’ve got a phone don’t you? He said, ‘nope…never had a need for one and I suppose they wouldn’t want me using one anyway. They get upset every now and then if I spend too long talking to strangers as it is.’

I was running late and needed to catch a cab and get to the airport within the hour, but something Billy had just said stuck in my head and so I asked. I said Billy, you said you are around here most days? And that I could maybe catch you on my next trip? I then asked him ‘are you retired?’ Old Billy just smiled and tilted his cap back and said ‘yes sir, I been retired so to speak for quite some time. You could call it a war injury what ended my occupation and put me here as I am now.

I said, well does the government or the Park Service pay you to come up here everyday? I mean there must be some form of compensation that you get and with your extensive memory and instant recollection of all those facts and people? You are literally a treasure. A treasure that someone should be paying for.

Billy stopped me and thanked me for the compliments, but he said that no one paid him and no one had asked him to do what he did every day. He just felt that it was his duty. He told me….’you asked me a while back if I wus a veteran?’ Well yes sir that I once wus, but not for a long while now. ‘But as such I have a special affection for this place and these hills and all those that is buried here. They are like my kin, my brothers and sisters if you like. I know them all.

And there it was again…just when I felt like I was understanding this old man, he would up and say something that would completely bewilder me. I said ‘Billy, I know that you know a lot about this place and those that are buried here, but know them all? How could that be. Billy turned and looked away and for more than a few moments he said nothing. It was as if time stopped. The wind ceased to be and there was silence where moments before there were sounds of birds and the noise of the city across the river.

When Billy turned to look at me again, he had tears in his eyes. He said ‘mister, I know them all cause I have been here since the first ones were brought here. I was here when General Meigs brought them first 2,111 up there on that hill and no one but me knew who they were and I have been here ever since. I wus here when those that survived the battles of the Spanish war and those that followed in the big war that came to rest here. I wus here when those that fought across Europe and the Pacific came home and came to rest here. And I wus here when them boys that went to Korea and now them from Vietnam came home and are now coming home to rest here. And sadly, I will be here each day as them that have died and will ultimately pass from these wars in the middle east will come to rest here too.

‘You see sir…it’s my duty. I wus the first. So the father looked upon me to be the one to get the rest of em settled in. It’s kinda like my special charge. It ain’t been so bad. When I arrived there weren’t no one here to show me around. Of course there weren’t much of anything here back then but pretty ground and cool breezes. But they have seen to it that I have plenty of company and all these markers to look after each day. These folks here are all my friends now. I have been here for everyone of em when they arrived. And there’s more like me now, those who have been given charge to meet and greet the new comers and help me with getting em situated and such.. Call em my helpers if you like, but they are here like me everyday just the same. Every day as the sun comes up and goes down, there are those here standing guard and waiting, along with those real Army soldiers up there on that hill at that tomb. We kinda look after them up there too.

And with that my friend Billy was transfigured before my eyes. From the old man that I had known for the past several hours, into the young man that he had once been. His green and khaki cotton clothes slowly changed into blue cotton and blue wool and his cap became a blue kepi of the 67th Pennsylvania Infantry. The old man Billy slowly changed before my eyes and became, private William Christman, the first soul ever interred at Arlington and the keeper of the roll there ever since.

And suddenly I knew why this place was so special to Billy, he had been given the sacred charge long ago to insure that all who entered these hallowed grounds, were met and greeted and formally acknowledged for their service to this nation. And as this knowledge seemed to just enter my head without any further words passing between us, it also dawned on me that there had been a purpose behind my meeting this day with Billy.

That purpose was as he revealed it to me, to let me know that one day I too would be reporting for duty here with the rest. That Arlington would one day be my home. So Billy wanted to make sure that I was squared away and up to speed on everything as much as possible before my arrival. But with that simple smile and that now familiar nod he told me, ‘ but it won’t be for quite a while now, so don‘t fret none.’

As I stood pondering what had just occurred, Billy with that now boyish smile of his, once again nodded his head and lifted his cap as if to say ‘see you later my friend, time for me to go.’ And as mysteriously as he had appeared he was suddenly gone. Simply vanished before my eyes into the nothingness of space. As I hurried toward the main gate I saw my taxi had returned and the driver was motioning for me to hurry, alternating between pointing at his watch and pointing at the sky. As I ran toward him and looked up, I saw that those April clouds were about to finally give up their bounty of water and once again drench the grounds of one of America’s most beautiful places.

I jumped in the back of seat of the cab just as the rains arrived. As we sped away toward the airport I turned to look back toward the Custis Lee house and I saw a lone silhouette standing on the hill, as if waiting to greet the next arrival. The driver asked me,,,,’what’d you see back there mister?’ I said nothing…just an old friend.

Freudian Slips are a (rhymes with Witch)

It must be right up there with having a brain freeze when something like this happens to liberals. Particularly those in public media and managing flagship newspapers. Having all the world see your true colors before you can pull that flag back in the window.

That is what i call priceless.

I do solemnly swear

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

So.....let me see if I have all this correct. You promised to defend the constitution against who? All enemies? Foreign and domestic? Would those include illegal Mexicans crossing into this country everyday?

And you swore to bear true and faithful allegiance to that 'same' constitution?

And you made this oath while in full possession of all of your mental faculties and in the absence of any intent to evade these responsibilities through subterfuge or any other means?

So precisely who are you?

Apparently....you are a United States Congressman (or senator) and this is the oath that you took when you were sworn into that office to serve the people who elected you. So what happens when you violate that oath? What happens when you abdicate all responsibility to the people who elected you to represent them? What happens when you turn on the people of your state and openly challenge them to be maligned and penalized for attempting to protect themselves and their property from alien invaders?

What happens when you not only violate your oath, but you literally flaunt that violation in the face of the public and all but dare anyone to challenge you over your treasonous actions?

Apparently not a lot happens, aside from the fact that you are given a soap box and a pulpit by a complicit media who evidently sees yous as worthy of exaltation.

AZ governor dismisses threat of economic boycott

Gov. Jan Brewer is dismissing the threat of an economic boycott over the new state immigration law she signed last week.

Appearing Monday at an Arizona Town Hall in Tucson, Brewer said she doesn't believe the law is "going to have the kind of economic impact that some people think it might."

U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, a Tucson Democrat, has called for a boycott of convention business for the state and other calls have come for a boycott of Arizona goods, services and tourism because of the nationally controversial immigration law.

The Arizona Daily Star reports that Brewer says outrage over the ability of police to ask people for citizenship documentation will fade. She recalled how another uproar faded when she was secretary of state and rode herd over a requirement that voters show ID at the polls.

Someone might ask....why are we losing the battle of our borders? Someone might ask why the constitution seems to apply to everyone except those that it was intended to protect? Someone might ask who's side these people are on?

Someone might ask a lot of questions that seemingly go unanswered in this country daily. But until the 'people' as a whole begin to ask these questions and then demand both answers and accountability to their country and the constitution? What difference does it make.

The band plays on, and Utopian socialism becomes that much more entrenched into the very fabric of this nation. And as a result, there will come a day when the only recourse will be to tear down and then pick up the tattered remains of what once was that shining city on a hill.

The Real Astroturf

Watch the video, then you decide who is kidding who.

The Left is Worried.

Chomsky Warns of Rise of the Far Right in the U.S.

Recent research from the New York Times / CBS News poll revealed that 18% of Americans identify themselves as supporters of the Tea Party, classify themselves "very conservative" and are very pessimistic about the direction of the country and severely critical of Washington and, of course, Obama. Over 90% of them believe that the country moves to a wrong path and the same percentage disapproves of the president and his administration policy. Already 92% of respondents estimated that Obama leads the country "toward socialism" (an opinion shared by more than half the population in general).

Moreover, the expressions of popular right-wing anger are registered when referencing more hate crimes, a rise of radical right-wing groups, as well as unofficial reports of a growing number of death threats against the president. Public safety agencies have raised the alert status for what is called "domestic terrorism."

Incidents were reported, several under investigation, of acts of intimidation against congressmen and other elected officials. Earlier this month, more than 30 governors received letters from an anti-government, ultra-conservative group who demanded their resignation in a period of three days (although there was no threat of violence), which meant that federal authorities have warned local police that the letters could lead to violent behavior. As such, there are more examples throughout the country.

The wave of disillusionment with the government and its rulers causes concern among some politicians who do not know what impact this might have on the elections of next November. But for others the issue is more alarming.

"It's very similar to Weimar Germany, the parallels are striking." Here, too, there is a tremendous disappointment with the parliamentary system, pointed Chomsky interviewing on Truthdig.

"The United States is very lucky that no honest and charismatic figure has appeared, and if this were to happen this country would be in real trouble for the frustration, disillusionment and the justified anger combined with the absence of a coherent response," he concludes.

In Germany, he recalls, an enemy was created to explain the crisis which was the Jew. "Here they are the illegal immigrants and blacks. We will say that white men are a persecuted minority. We will say that we must uphold and defend the honor of the nation. Military force will be exalted. There will be blows. This could be converted into an undeniable force. And if it takes place, it will be more dangerous than Nazi Germany. The United States is a world power ... I do not believe that this is far from happening," he says.

You damn right they are worried and they are pulling out all stops right now to attempt to save themselves and their little tin dick wanna be dictator Obama. From lamenting the potential rise of 'domestic' terrorism, to having Obama opine his latest musings concerning his power base of blacks and Latinos and supposed women that need to come back in November, to now dredging up one Noam Chomsky to flail about and lament his meanderings and concerns over a potential rise of Nazism in America.

For those unfamiliar, Chomsky is the present day equivalent of "Yoda" to the valiant rebels of the rabid left. Particularly those that believe that they are at war with the evil empire of capitalism in America.

Make no mistake, were he still alive, Saul Alinsky would be their go to guy right now, but since he is long since moldering in the ground, Chomsky is all they presently have. Chomsky has been latched onto and clung to by the dying breed of 1960's radical hippies and their progeny and one day soon, he will be the effigy of everything that supposed 'fairness' represented in an oppressive America of the early twenty first century. But not before Obama and the rest of the rogues gallery of Chicago new party Marxist gangsters have had their say and their way with the country.

Go ahead, read the musings of the mad Rabi of socialist/communist philosophy as told by the grand professor of linguistics and sundry other talents. PS. I love the Chomsky dig at the Weimar republic. Naturally, he overlooked the part about the National Socialists first bankrupting Germany. (and the part about the National Socialists being the Nazis.)

We will remember November....yes we will

Idiocy and Public Office Are a Dangerous Combination

Someone once said....' mind is a terrible thing to waste.' Of course they must have either already recognized the problem? Or they had already fallen victim to it.

Either way, the problem apparently persists. As an example, have a look at these two 'mind brains' from Chicago.

Yes, these are the type of people that clamber around the heels of Obama and ramble about their rights and who is going to take care of them.

Then as they are doing now, they present you with a peek inside their empty skulls and present you with their view of the world given the opportunity.

And the scary part? People like these have been elected to office at the state, local and federal level all across America.

I reckon these two geniuses never heard of the 'Posse Comitatus Act.' Either that? Or they think that Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin were swell guys.

2 Chicago state reps: Bring in the National Guard

Two state representatives called on Gov. Pat Quinn Sunday to deploy the Illinois National Guard to safeguard Chicago's streets.

Chicago Democrats John Fritchey and LaShawn Ford said they want Quinn, Mayor Richard Daley and Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis to allow guardsmen to patrol streets and help quell violence. Weis said he did not support the idea because the military and police operate under different rules.

"Is this a drastic call to action? Of course it is," Fritchey said. "Is it warranted when we are losing residents to gun violence at such an alarming rate? Without question. We are not talking about rolling tanks down the street or having armed guards on each corner."

What he envisions, Fritchey said, is a "heightened presence on the streets," particularly on the roughly 9 percent of city blocks where most of the city's violent crimes occur.

Weis previously identified those "hot spots" and said he plans to create a 100-person team made up of selected and volunteer police personnel to respond to crime there. If guardsmen were to assist police, they could comprise or contribute to that force, Fritchey said.

So far this year, 113 people have been killed across Chicago, the same number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan combined in the same period, Fritchey said.

"As we speak, National Guard members are working side-by-side with our troops to fight a war halfway around the world," Fritchey said. "The unfortunate reality is that we have another war that is just as deadly taking place right in our backyard." While the National Guard has been deployed in other states to prevent violence related to specific events and protests, the Chicago legislators said they are unaware of guardsmen being deployed to assist with general urban unrest.

Weis countered that the only scenario in which the National Guard would be helpful is in the situation of a tornado, earthquake or flood. If the military were brought in to help with city violence, they wouldn't answer to police command -- creating a "major disconnect" in mission and strategy.

Telling a story he thinks is true

Well isn't that special. Not only do we have a less than appropriate joke telling and one that portrays Jews in a bad light, but we also have the president's national security adviser prefacing the telling of the story with the remark that "he thinks it is true."

Another flub by an Obama admin persona that will skip right across the pond of the media and sink to the bottom with all their other stories that they choose not to cover.

It was never about race. Was it? Sure it was.

Sure it was. And one look at this appeal piece sponsored by the DNC as a rallying cry for their race base is plainly clear. Of course the main stream media won't see it that way. They will point to his inclusion of 'women' as proof positive that it isn't singly about race. Don't be fooled.

A Beautiful Rememberance and a Burden Lifted

On April 19, 1971... chuck aka xtnyoda was on a visual reconnaissance mission... flying as a door gunner... on a Marine helicopter... over the Republic of South Vietnam.

After first flying over the first of 3 North Vietnamese Army base camps at the altitude of 1,500 feet... at the request of the infantry lieutenant on board for a closer look... to gather visual information for a Marine unit that was going to conduct a strike that night... we then descended to an altitude of only 400 feet for a second pass-over... suddenly our lone helicopter came under intense automatic weapons fire.

Long story short... we were shot down... and by the grace of God and an excellent co-pilot... we managed a controlled "landing" nearby.

Because of our desperate situation... I was not able to make the afternoon flight I had been scheduled for. My best friend, George Vangundy, took my place.

Shortly after his flight took off the helicopter experienced catastrophic mechanical failure... George died instantly.

Thirty-nine years later to the day, April 19, 2010, our first born son and I traveled some 650 miles to the resting place of my friend... to place a simple rose of remembrance... over his grave... and say a prayer in memory.

We were able to find the location of the grave after having been united over the internet with one of George's sisters, Judy, several years ago. Judy and her husband, Larry, graciously met us at the grave site in the north-western corn fields of Indiana.

I had always felt... and often said that George had died in in my place. I had shared the same with Judy in our e-mail correspondence... it was a heavy weight on my heart... for 39 years.

We had a blessed time together in that small, rural, cemetery... words cannot describe how grateful our son and I felt that Judy and Larry would make what was for them a 4 hour journey to... meet us there... at the grave of her brother.

The picture above is xtnyoda... and Judy.

I shared with her again my deepest feelings of... grief at the loss of life... and the emotions that go with feeling that somehow... it should have been me.

Judy was gracious beyond description... and delighted to meet us. It was one of the greatest and rewarding moments of my life... to get to look into her accepting eyes and gentle unassuming smile.

As we approached each other for the initial greeting... after John and I got out of our car... she quietly asked, "May I hug you?"

I don't know what to say about the embrace... except to say... for a fleeting moment... it seemed I could actually feel the heart-beat of my friend... in her heart.

After our sharing and grateful meeting... it was time to say good-by. Judy asked, "How long was your journey?" I responded, "It only took about 11 hours driving."

Her husband, Larry, gently responded, "No Chuck... it's been a 39 year journey." His wisdom struck home.

Then... a couple of days later I received an e-mail from Judy that I wish to share part of with you. This paragraph is one of the greatest statements of personal redemption I have ever received... save the cross of Christ.

"You have said several times that George died in your place. I think this thought has caused you a lot of pain over the years. I wanted to tell you that I don't think George died in your place. I think George died in his own place, and one day, you will die in your own place.

I don't think one can choose to decide who dies in who's place. The Lord is the only one who decides.... and then He calls us to Him when He is ready for us. I understand how you might feel about what happened, but please don't continue to think about it as you do. George died in his place and you will die in your place when the time comes.

Nothing more."

That statement friends... is priceless.

I post this as it is one of the most beautiful tributes that I have ever read. George truly had a life long friend, even though his own life was tragically cut short. You are a special man Chuck. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Renewed reasons for war....you betcha

Those who don't understand why the war that never ended has never rekindled after sixty years, are probably products of government education since the late 1960's.

It has not been out of love or singular independence on the part of either of the Korea's that they have remained at ease and not at open war for the last fifty years. The simple truth remains, that the north has remained at bay, because America has stood prepared to reinvest our blood and treasure to insure that communist goals of complete control of the Korean peninsula are never realized. Combined with the fact that China, who paid for and sponsored a good portion of the last war, has been in no position or state of desire to see the conflict resurrected.

Times change. China is now a wealthy and soon to be super power with close ties and allegiances with the newly resurrected and oil flush Russia. Therefore, in the current state of weakened leadership and purposefully bled away stature that America now occupies, it is understandable that the lunatic leader of North Korea would be interested in rekindling hostilities with the south.

The stage is set. All that is required is a provocation either real or imagined and the peninsula is aflame once again. But this time Kim gets to try out his new toys and the Chinese get a front row seat to watch both the battle and the pitiful reaction of America as it is forced to admit that we can no longer save South Korea. Which immediately leads to another point of interest in the region. The Chinese have long been in preparation for the invasion and retaking of Taiwan and a rekindling of war on the Korean peninsula will only hasten their plans and desires to see that fulfilled.

So yes, tread softy cheeky, cheeky monkeys. Did the North Koreans launch an unprovoked attack against the South Korean ship? In all probability yes. And will the South Koreans retaliate? No. They now know that they have neither support or backing from their Allie of the past fifty seven years.

It's just a matter of time now.

Georgia Law Enforcement Memorial Ride April 24 2010

This was the memorial ride this morning, leaving Turner Field in Atlanta, headed to Fayetteville Georgia. With severe thunder storms on the schedule both before and after the start, there were still several hundred riders who turned out.

Ha..ha..ha! Ho! Ho! Ho! LMFAO! ROTFLMAO!

I love how the dear vice president is chucking and chuckled at over his faupax of the F bomb during the president's speech. And it is only the more richer? Because according to old Joe? Obama thought it was funny as Sh*t!

Oops! Can I say shit?

A cute little compilation of liberal spun manure

Ever wonder how the other half lives? How about how the other half thinks?

Drag up a chair and have a watch and listen to this spittle dripping foray into the twisted mind of the liberal left, recently and of late known as the progressive left.

So why do the words Vichy, cheese and wine come to my mind when I see crap like this?

And screw your lizard too pardner!

Parasitic Twat, compliments of Nicki at the Liberty Zone

There is more there....much more. Avail yourself to this piece in it's entirety. An excellent read.

If there's any justice in this world, this cunt's uterus will fall to the floor with a squelchy sound before spontaneously combusting and setting her on fire and taking her and her parasitic husband to hell.

The Davey family's £815-a-week state handouts pay for a four-bedroom home, top-of-the-range mod cons and two vehicles including a Mercedes people carrier.

Father-of-seven Peter gave up work because he could make more living on benefits.

Yet he and his wife Claire are still not happy with their lot.

With an eighth child on the way, they are demanding a bigger house, courtesy of the taxpayer.

At some point someone has to say, "enough is enough."

At some point, someone ought to take a rusty chainsaw to Peter Davey's gonads, slap a Band-Aid to what is left and force him to go back to work to pay off the millions he and his parasitic sow sperm catcher have already bilked out of hard working people!

Not only do these festering swine (no offense to pigs everywhere, who at least have a benefit of providing delicious bacon to those of us who aren't afraid of cloven hooves), receive their home and vehicles for free, but they also get health care and education at the taxpayers' expense. No wonder Britain is running a record projected 13 percent budget deficit this year! No wonder some Brits are now paying more than half of their income to the state! It's to feed, clothe and sustain this fat cunt, her crotchfruit and her indolent, sperm-squirting cockbag of a husband!

And they have the gall to complain!

'It's really hard,' said Mrs Davey, 29, who is seven months pregnant. 'We can't afford holidays and I don't want my kids living on a council estate and struggling like I have.

'The price of living is going up but benefits are going down.My carer's allowance is only going up by 80p this year and petrol is so expensive now, I'm worried how we'll cope.

If there was any justice in this universe, you'd "cope" by having some outraged taxpayer crazy glue your twat shut!

But no, there will be no outrage, because when you breed a socialist welfare state, you will always have looting swine who will abuse it.

I remind you of the practical reality preached by the vermin in DC, as told by a minor character in Atlas Shrugged - a story about the Twentieth Century Motor Company (thanks to Blue Collar Muse for reproducing this story in its entirety):

“Well, there was something that happened at that plant where I worked for twenty years. It was when the old man died and his heirs took over. There were three of them, two sons and a daughter, and they brought a new plan to run the factory. They let us vote on it, too, and everybody – almost everybody – voted for it. We didn’t know. We thought it was good. No, that’s not true, either. We thought that we were supposed to think it was good. The plan was that everybody in the factory would work according to his ability, but would be paid according to his need.

“We voted for that plan at a big meeting, with all of us present, six thousand of us, everybody that worked in the factory. The Starnes heirs made long speeches about it, and it wasn’t too clear, but nobody asked any questions. None of us knew just how the plan would work, but every one of us thought that the next fellow knew it. And if anybody had doubts, he felt guilty and kept his mouth shut – because they made it sound like anyone who’d oppose the plan was a child-killer at heart and less than a human being. They told us that this plan would achieve a noble ideal. Well, how were we to know otherwise? Hadn’t we heard it all our lives – from our parents and our schoolteachers and our ministers, and in every newspaper we ever read and every movie and every public speech? Hadn’t we always been told that this was righteous and just? Well, maybe there’s some excuse for what we did at that meeting. Still, we voted for the plan – and what we got, we had it coming to us. You know, ma’am, we are marked men, in a way, those of us who lived through the four years of that plan in the Twentieth Century factory. What is it that hell is supposed to be? Evil – plain, naked, smirking evil, isn’t it? Well, that’s what we saw and helped to make –and I think we’re damned, every one of us, and maybe we’ll never be forgiven …

Schoolhouse Rock It Ain't

So, you think that those employed in public education are always looking after the best interests of your children? And you believe that these same officials will always appreciate both your concerns and your input into their choices as it concerns what your children are exposed to? And you still believe that the secular progressive agenda of socialist liberalism and anti conservative anti Christian values are always tempered by fairness and impartiality when it comes to public employees?

Georgia Parents Upset Over T.I. School Appearance

While most people are happy to have the King Of the South back from his bid in prison, parents of teens at a Georgia middle school aren't too pleased that he was allowed to speak to their students.

Parents of students at Woodland Middle School were reportedly outraged that T.I. was allowed to speak to students without parental permission.

The rapper who was incarcerated for attempting to buy machine guns made an appearance at the school March 5 as a surprise to the children who he reportedly told to “study and work hard.”

Atlanta's WSB-TV says one parent in particular, Tom Myers, whose four daughters attend Woodland wrote a letter to the school's principal Dr. Terry Oatts saying,

“In the future, if T.I. or any other convicted felon needs to perform community service, ask for parental permission to allow our children to be exposed to these questionable individuals.”

Myers contacted WSB after having email correspondence with the principal and not appreciating his comments.
In one email, Dr. Oatts was obviously not too pleased with Mr. Myers statement and counteracted saying,
“I thought about asking a guy who snorted cocaine and got arrested for DUI when he was 30 to come and speak to our kids, but President George W. Bush was not available.”
I think this jerk needs to be fired. Those interested in letting their feelings be known....here is the contact information

Blues Brothers....The Andromeda Strain

Potentially deadly fungus spreading in US, Canada

A potentially deadly strain of fungus is spreading among animals and people in the northwestern United States and the Canadian province of British Columbia, researchers reported on Thursday.

The airborne fungus, called Cryptococcus gattii, usually only infects transplant and AIDS patients and people with otherwise compromised immune systems, but the new strain is genetically different, the researchers said.

"This novel fungus is worrisome because it appears to be a threat to otherwise healthy people," said Edmond Byrnes of Duke University in North Carolina, who led the study.

"The findings presented here document that the outbreak of C. gattii in Western North America is continuing to expand throughout this temperate region," the researchers said in their report, published in the Public Library of Science journal PLoS Pathogens at http://dx.plos.org/10.1371/journal.ppat.1000850.

"Our findings suggest further expansion into neighboring regions is likely to occur and aim to increase disease awareness in the region."

The new strain appears to be unusually deadly, with a mortality rate of about 25 percent among the 21 U.S. cases analyzed, they said.

So what makes this particular little virus so worrisome and problematic? Wait for it now......wait for it.....

Freezing can kill the fungus and climate change may be helping it spread, the researchers said.

You already knew the answer......didn't you......

I am often reminded (almost daily as a matter of fact) of these repeated connections being linked to "GLOBAL WARMING!" It's as if everything is immediately attributable to global warming. Isn't it?

It often reminds me of those classic lines from the Blues Brothers...When Jake (John Belushi) is cornered by the Mystery woman (Carrie Fisher) in the Tunnel...

Remember that scene?

Mystery Woman: You miserable slug! You think you can talk your way out of this? You betrayed me.
Jake: No I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I, I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD.
[Elwood covers his head in anticipation of more gunfire, Jake removes his sunglasses to make a wordless appeal, and the Mystery Woman visibly softens]
Mystery Woman: Oh, Jake... Jake, honey...
[Jake embraces the Mystery Woman and they kiss]

After which....he drops her in the mud and moves on.

So......let's see.....

We have the "truthers" and the "birthers."

So what say we mint a new group?

What say we call them the "Warmers?"

Those who have never seen an excuse for global warming that they didn't like. Those who like Jake Blues? Can spew an endless litany of ridiculous excuses and not unlike the "Mystery woman?" The media will swoon and collapse into jelly every time they "the warmers" coo another excuse to believe in junk science.

People get ready....there's a train (change) a coming

Special army unit ready to be deployed on American soil just before Nov. elections

In October of this year, one month prior to the November midterm elections, a special army unit known as 'Consequence Management Response Force' will be ready for deployment on American soil if so ordered by the President.

They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.

The key phrase is 'may be called upon to help with civil unrest.' This afternoon a local radio talk show host reported that he had been in contact with a member of the military. This military source stated that the armed forces have been alerted to the strong possibility that civil unrest may occur in the United States this summer, prior to the midterm elections of 2010.

The source described this as 'our long, hot summer of discontent' that could be eerily reminiscent of the summer of 1968 when riots broke out in many of our largest cities.
However, the summer of 2010 could well be much worse due to the players involved. In 1968 the major players were war protesters. This time, the outrage simmering beneath the surface of American society involves a broad cross-section of the heartland, and most of them are heavily armed.

It is highly unlikely that these citizens would ever initiate armed conflict of any kind. In their view, gun rights are for self-defense--and for defense against tyrannical government, which our Founders regarded as the most dangerous force on earth.

However, it has become clear that other groups may well initiate violence in order to start an 'incident' that would give Obama and a rogue Congress a reason to implement martial law, confiscate the citizens' guns, enforce curfews, and suspend all future elections until such time as it is deemed 'safe' to proceed with human liberty as encapsulated in the right to vote.

Tea Party members, for example, have been warned in recent days that members of Andy Stern's SEIU union and members of the organization formerly known as ACORN plan to infiltrate Tea Party gatherings in order to incite some sort of incident that could result in armed conflict.
In addition, all indications point to a humiliating defeat for the Democrats and Obama in November. Not only will the House in all likelihood transfer to Republican control, but it is increasingly possible for the Democrats to lose the Senate as well. And there are Leftwing groups in this country that would use whatever means necessary to prevent that from happening. ACORN has already gone underground, changing its name so as to fly beneath the radar screen. How many people will the group register to vote illegally?

Read more at the link and ponder. Yeah....people get ready, there's a change a coming.

Demonization as practiced by a master

Yes mr. president....we ought to learn. But riddle me this? Is there a difference between your present perception of demonization of elected officials? And your lack of perception of demonization for elected officials for the eight years of administration that followed yours?

Not to assert that two wrongs make a right, but I am curious. How is it that the left reconciles it's eight years of vitriolic and caustic diatribes against the Bush administration, then proceeds to the court of public opinion to prostrate itself before the people to beg consideration and mercy?

See the problem?

And here we have the former president of the United States not speaking in generalities. No, he specifically targets and identifies Oath Keepers, Three Percenters and "right wing media" and Talk radio and what he refers to as the "echo chamber of the Internet."

Of course we must remember that Bill Clinton was the first president to suffer pain and suffering at the hands of both talk radio and the Internet. his dear wife Hillary even went as far as to assert that the Internet should be stifled and controlled by the government and that all commentary on the net should be filtered. A view that I am sure both of the Clinton's continue to share.

But once again, we have Bill Clinton practicing that which he seemingly is abhorring. Here the man is talking about demonization by others, yet that is precisely what he is attempting on his own as it concerns the Oath Keepers and others.

I wonder, does his attempt to brand them as 'mentally confused' lend credence to his assessments and subjugation of entities who otherwise have yet to be either determined or proven to be subversive?

I think not.

What we have here is Bill Clinton (via a liberal media) being given another public soap box to put forth and pursue the limited and skewed version of liberal progressive propaganda. Nothing more, nothing less.

Quotations

On a side note.....today's quotation struck me as rather poignant. As did yesterdays.

Things do not happen. "Things are made to happen."
John F. Kennedy

and yesterday's quote.....

"If you haven't found something worth dying for, you aren't fit to be living. - Dr."
Martin Luther King, Jr.

These quotes struck me for two reasons. In today's world of liberal progressives and their demonization of patriots? I wonder how well these two men and their views would settle on the present political horizon.

I guess we shall see

At the inauguration, the man swore an oath.

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

So how do you think he has done so far?

Gates Warns U.S. Lacks Strategy on Iran Nukes

Several sources are reporting that back in January, Defense Secretary Gates sent a rather bothersome memorandum to the White House, concerning our lack of contingencies concerning a nuclear Iran.

A memo from Defense Secretary Robert Gates to the White House warned that the United States lacks a nimble long-term plan for dealing with Iran's nuclear program, according to a published report.

Gates wrote the three-page memo in January and it set off efforts in the Pentagon, White House and intelligence agencies to come up with new options, including the use of the military, The New York Times said in its Sunday editions, quoting unnamed government officials.

White House officials Saturday night strongly disagreed with the comments that the memo caused a reconsideration of the administration's approach to Iran.

So.....according to reports, everyone from the president's personal intelligence adviser, to the Pentagon and other agencies claim that this is false. That we have had an ongoing series of planning efforts and that America is fully prepared for all contingencies that may arise as it concerns Iran's nuclear ambitions.

But somehow, I don't get any warm and fuzzy feelings of comfort as it concerns either the level of planning or protection that this administration supposedly has concerning a nuclear Iran. The bottom line, anyone who has kept current of the atmosphere surrounding the Iranians and America's lack of response to their nuclear ambitions, knows that we have more that justified reasons for concern.

"It is absolutely false that any memo touched off a reassessment of our options," National Security Council spokesman Benjamin Rhodes told The Associated Press. "This administration has been planning for all contingencies regarding Iran for many months."

One senior official described the memo as "a wake-up call," the paper reported. But the recipient of the document, Gen. James Jones, President Barack Obama's national security adviser, told the newspaper in an interview that the administration has a plan that "anticipates the full range of contingencies."

So there you have it, who to believe. Some officials report concerns, while other smirk and mock the reports as complete tosh.

So we have a plan that anticipates the full range of contingencies? I would certainly like to believe that, but with the observable history and actions of this president over the past fifteen months and his stated ambitions as it concerns weakening this nation and apologies to the world for our successes and history? I simply don't believe him.

As my grandmother might have said....."I wouldn't believe him on a stack of bibles." Not that he would ever submit to a sincere oath on one in the first place.

Obama's latest power grab

Obama: Fresh crisis without new financial rules

The U.S. is destined to endure a new economic crisis that sticks taxpayers with the bill unless Congress tightens oversight of the financial industry, President Barack Obama said Saturday.

"Every day we don't act, the same system that led to bailouts remains in place, with the exact same loopholes and the exact same liabilities," Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address. "And if we don't change what led to the crisis, we'll doom ourselves to repeat it.

So let me see if I have this straight......congress over the last thirty years set about to completely dismantle and set aside all checks and balances on banking and the financial system, while at the same time the government (congress and federal regulations) sought to insure that "affordable housing" was available for one and all. (under the auspices of Jimmy Carter's initial "Fair Housing Act).

The banks and investment houses that sprang from this government lunacy of deregulation and re-regulations, then set about to create offshore bundling operations of trillions of dollars in bad paper investments, to be traded about and speculated on over the last fifteen years.

And all of this paper mortgage wealth was built upon a house of cards and an ever increasing Ponzi scheme of both government regulation and a forced perspective of social gerrymandering by congress. Combine that reality with the greed of bankers, who found a way to play the lunatic system that the federal government had imposed upon the banking industry and you have the perfect storm.

And when the entire scheme collapsed in the summer of 2008? It was then the taxpayers responsibility to bail out the banks. Which in reality meant that it was the taxpayer's responsibility to bail out the banks who had been led into insolvency by congress and federal regulations on lending since the late 1970's under Carter.

As initiated by president Jimmy Carter and carried forth by president Bill Clinton, these two administrations (along with considerable help from republicans in congress during the period) were able to all but bankrupt this nation by created a false representation of reality. The reality being represented, that not only was everyone entitled to own a home, but through creative financing, anyone with a pulse could buy one. .

So in the fall of 2008 after the entire 'mechanism' collapsed, congress approved and the waning Bush administration signed the 750 billion dollar TARP act to supposedly bail out these banks and insurance companies that were supposedly "too big to fail."

And now comes this dire warning from Obama, who says that if we don't give him absolute power and say so over the entire banking industry now? Then "They" will do it again. And the American taxpayer will once again be led down the road to ruination and placed back on the hook for more bailouts. (perhaps no one has told the dear president that America won't last long enough for a second ruination at this rate).

So the president's proposed solution?

A proposal that Senate Democrats are readying for debate creates a mechanism for liquidating large financial companies to avoid a meltdown.

For the first time, the government would regulate derivatives, those financial instruments whose value depends on an underlying asset, such as mortgages or stocks. Derivatives can help hedge risks. But derivatives can produce steep losses, or huge profits, if the value of their underlying asset sinks.

The proposal also would create a council to detect threats to the financial system and set up a consumer protection agency to police people's dealings with financial institutions.

On Friday, Obama promised to veto the bill if it doesn't regulate the market for derivatives, which contributed to the nation's economic problems after their value plummeted during the housing crisis.

But Democrats haven't agreed on how far such regulation should go, and all Senate Republicans are united against the bill. That opposition complicates Democratic efforts to get the 60 votes necessary to overcome likely GOP procedural roadblocks.

Republicans contend that a provision creating a $50 billion fund for dismantling banks considered "too big to fail" would continue government bailouts of Wall Street. Obama administration officials say such a fund is unnecessary and they want Senate Democrats to remove it.

Well now....I can't speak for everyone else? But that certainly makes me feel better. The democrats are proposing a 'mechanism' for liquidating large financial companies to avoid a meltdown?

And they want to create a council to 'detect threats" to the system in the future.

Here is a tip.....we don't need a counsel for detecting threats to the American system of government or finance either now or in the future. We already have a system and it's real simple. Don't allow the democrats to have any say so over either the government or the finances of this nation period.

If nothing has been learned since the last election, I certainly hope that lesson has been driven home, as this congress and this administration have already spent more than all of their predecessors combined. So yes, the same people that crashed the bus and are in the process of driving it over a cliff, want more power and more ability to insure that they are continued to be allowed to drive it into oblivion.

I am sorry, but I ain't buying that load of bullocks Barry.

This is nothing but a ruse to accomplish more of a power grab for your 'regime' as Rush Limbaugh has rightly named it. Since being in office for a little over a year, Obama has all but bankrupted Wall Street, driven two of the big three auto makers into the ground, led us into double digit unemployment and stands to do the same concerning inflation and now he wants us to turn over the keys of control to all the banks to him and his band of rogue socialist interlopers.

I say think again and guess again America. If the American people are stupid enough to allow him and Pelosi and that rogues gallery of a congress to get away with this power grab, then they deserve what they get after that.

Something in The Wind?

I believe that this nation may be on the cusp of a dramatic circumstance of creative terror scare. Either something created or something allowed to come to pass, in order that this administration can seize more power, control and influence over our lives.

You decide......

Anti-Government Extremists: On the Rise and On the March

But by conjuring up the specter of revolution or counterrevolution is Rhodes adding to the threat of real violence? Oath Keepers are "a particularly worrisome example of the 'patriot' revival," according to Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which monitors hate speech and extremist organizations.

NRA Once Again Embracing Anti-Government Rhetoric

Fifteen years ago former National Rifle Association (NRA) member Timothy McVeigh -- motivated by his fear and hatred of the federal government -- bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Today, the NRA and other members of the gun lobby are again embracing and validating anti-government rhetoric according to the new 21-page Violence Policy Center (VPC) study "Lessons Unlearned: The Gun Lobby and the Siren Song of Anti-Government Rhetoric"

Living in a Land of Rising Right-Wing Hate

Now that the citizens of the United States have elected the first African-American president in US history, however, there are racist, conservative activist groups popping up all over the place - and not just the Tea Party. One man has put his area on the map like no other.

Michael B. Vanderboegh of Pinson, Alabama, hit the national spotlight last week and is now under serious federal law enforcement scrutiny since calling for right-wing militia-style activists to toss bricks through the windows of Democrats on his SipseyStreetIrregulars blog, designed to appeal to the so-called Three Percenters, or three percent of American gun owners with the most radical view of the Second Amendment.

Vanderboegh may have been able to continue blogging in relative suburban obscurity, except that somebody decided to carry out his call to throw bricks in New York, Arizona and Kansas. One brick that crashed through the window of the Democratic Committee headquarters in Monroe County, New York, had a note attached with a quote from Barry Goldwater: "Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice."

"I guess that guy's one of ours," Vanderboegh said in a telephone interview with a Montgomery newspaper. "Glad to know people read my blog."

Oath Keepers Withdraw From DC Rally Over Violent Threats

The Oath Keepers organization has announced its withdrawal from a pro-Constitution rally due to be held near Washington DC on April 19 following threats of violence made by participants in the march, highlighting once again the danger posed by provocateurs who seek to cause mayhem in order to discredit peaceful political groups.

A press release put out by Oath Keepers states that the board of directors of the organization decided to withdraw from the “Restore the Constitution” rally in Virginia, “Because of published statements by some participants in the upcoming Virginia rally.”

The Washington Post claims that the reason for the pull out was because the organizers of the event were planning to display guns and were circulating inflammatory rhetoric, but the Oath Keepers press release contradicts this, clearly pointing out that the organizers are not at fault and the problem was with the behavior of some of the participants.

“Oath Keepers as an organization feels that a confrontational stance, such as has been published, places this event, in public perception, outside the terms of our stated and published mission,” states the press release. “The mission of Oath Keepers is not to confront the government. Instead, our mission is to reach out to people within government – to police, military, firefighters and first responders – to teach them about their obligations under the oath they took to defend the Constitution, to increase their knowledge of the Constitution, and to inspire them to defend it by refusing to obey unconstitutional, unlawful orders.”

Oath Keepers is asking members who attend the rally to do so as individuals and not representatives of the Oath Keepers group, adding that Oath Keeper garments should not be displayed or worn at the event.

“Oath Keepers shall, as planned, participate in the Washington D.C. Second Amendment March on April 19 (www.secondamendmentmarch.com) and shall offer the public an Oath Keepers ceremony in which citizens can themselves stand and reverently take an oath to defend the Constitution right along with current and prior service police, military, and fire personnel (who will be renewing their oaths), all together as patriotic Americans. Please see our banner announcement for this march in Washington D.C. on April 19, 2010, at www.oathkeepers.org,” concludes the press release.

Home-Grown Extremists as Threatening as Al Qaeda

Fifteen years after the Oklahoma City bombing, the specter of domestic terrorism has returned to haunt the Obama administration, with a warning from the FBI that “home-grown and lone-wolf extremists” now represent as serious a threat as Al Qaeda and its affiliates, The Times reported on Saturday.

The warning, from the FBI Director, Robert Mueller, came as the former President Clinton drew parallels between the Oklahoma City tragedy and a recent upsurge in anti-government rhetoric, while American television audiences heard Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, describe the “absolute rage” that drove him to plan an attack that killed 168 men, women and children.

An FBI spokesman said Friday that Mueller was referring to right-wing extremist groups and anti-government militias, as well as American Islamists, in his testimony to the Senate committee that must approve the FBI’s $8.3 billion budget.

Last month federal agents arrested nine members of a Christian militia based in Michigan, calling itself the Hutaree. They have been charged with plotting to murder local police with a stash of guns, knives and grenades.

Since the passage of President Obama’s health reforms, the FBI has also made arrests in Seattle and San Francisco after death threats were sent to Democratic senators.

“It’s one thing to express dissatisfaction with the Government but once you cross the line with a violent threat, that’s a violation that we take extremely seriously,” Bill Carter, the bureau’s spokesman, said.

These are just a few examples of the articles popping up in media and on the internet over the past few weeks. In the parlance of intelligence gathering, these articles and stories are what are called 'a lot of background chatter."

And the worrisome part, is that the chatter is increasing at all levels and it is becoming prevalent from a number of sources inside the Obama administration. From Janet Napolitanos warnings against domestic terrorists in the form of returning military personnel, to the seizing of opportunities (now) to attempt and demonize any and all opposition to this administration, as some form of radical right wing "patriot" movement.

Make no mistake, these are the techniques of attack, isolation and marginalization as put forth by the likes of Saul Alinsky and William Ayers and others to demonize and marginalize all opposition. They have used these techniques and tactics for decades now and they know how to work them along with media to their advantage.

They even have former president Bill Clinton solicited into the act now and making statements that parrot the same line of reasoning. And that reasoning is very simple once you examine it. The liberal progressive reasoning is simply one of opposition to all things that even remotely approach constitutionalism or the adherence to constitutional rights of speech when it conflicts with their version of the world.

Make no mistake, there are efforts afoot right now to attempt to marginalize, reduce and eliminate all opposing viewpoints to the present administration and their goals of dismantling this nation. And these forces have already gone on record stating that they will never pass up the opportunity to exploit a good crisis.

Now the only question that seems to be at issue is this.... Will those inside this administration seek to create a crisis or allow one to materialize, to further their progressive socialist goals. I say you can damn well count on it.

Right now they are seeding the landscape with articles and opinion pieces from seeming legitimate media and authoritative sources and they are seeking to demonize every aspect and level of opposition to their goals and policies of limiting freedoms in this country.

I have seen this before. I saw it prior to the siege at Waco in 1993 and before that during the Ruby Ridge siege. IMO, the Obama administration is currently looking for or in the process of creating an opportunity to justify further limitations of freedom and far more dramatic infringement of rights in America.

The resurrection of concerns over supposed militias and having former president Clinton reminisce of his worries and concerns if the "conversation is not controlled" is only the most recent example of the tactics at play by the media and this administration.

Something is afoot. The field is being prepared and the seeds are being planted. And if they cannot provoke some limited fringe element into providing them with their catalyst moment? Then rest assured that they will soon create one of their own.

A Deeply Troubled America

Something that Bill Clinton an I can finally agree on. America is deeply troubled. Of course our perceptions of why America is troubled are opposite ends of the spectrum.

Clinton alludes to 1995 bombing, says words matter

Yes Mr. president, words do matter, but not as you would have people believe based upon you musings and recollections of history.

"What we learned from Oklahoma City is not that we should gag each other or that we should reduce our passion for the positions we hold - but that the words we use really do matter, because there's this vast echo chamber, and they go across space and they fall on the serious and the delirious alike. They fall on the connected and the unhinged alike," he said.

"One of the things that the conservatives have always brought to the table in America is a reminder that no law can replace personal responsibility. And the more power you have and the more influence you have, the more responsibility you have."

If there has been a master of phraseology of the past twenty years, I have to give credit where credit is due. And that credit goes to one messer Bill Clinton. the man certainly knows how to turn phrases and paint philosophical landscapes to suit his own political desires and aims.

But what did the former president really mean when he remarked earlier this week concerning the present state of discontent affecting an ever increasing majority of Americans? I believe Clinton's remarks were aimed at where they have always been aimed. His remarks were aimed at that bandwidth of supposed moderates and independents that make up the decisive factor in elections. And
messer Clinton was and is attempting to engage in damage control before the coming November midterms.

Bill Clinton knows better than to attack the majority of Americans who now feel disenfranchised by this administration. He knows that he has to be subtle in his approach, therefore, the cautions his listeners to be mindful of their words. Don't engage in anything that might incite the mind or worse, inspire the spirit to turn away from the present offerings of liberal progressive socialism. And lest we as a nation forget, it was Bill Clinton who most recently tried to sell this same bill of socialist progressive goods to Americans and failed. So now that his predecessor has succeeded in ramming it down America's throat, Messer Bill wants to play the part of conciliatory master.

Not hardly messer Bill.

"I'm glad they're fighting over health care and everything else. Let them have at it. But I think that all you have to do is read the paper every day to see how many people there are who are deeply, deeply troubled," he said.

He also alluded to the anti-government tea party movement, which held protests in several states Thursday. At the Washington rally, Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota railed against "gangster government."

Clinton argued that the Boston Tea Party was in response to taxation without representation. The current protesters, he said, are challenging taxation by elected officials, and the demonstrators have the power to vote them out of office.

"By all means keep fighting, by all means, keep arguing," he said. "But remember, words have consequences as much as actions do, and what we advocate, commensurate with our position and responsibility, we have to take responsibility for. We owe that to Oklahoma City."

Translated? What the master has just proffered is the oblique inference that healthy debate is good and freedom of speech should be continued. "Just as long as we allow those like himself to determine that which is permissible to discuss and examine.

In my experience and observation, this is nothing more than the liberal left (knowing that it is slipping away) summoning the equivalent of their version of Knute Rockney to step forward and issue the pleading that we all come together one more time to win one for the Gipper

Never mind the reality that most of the Americans who that logic applies to? Are of the Reagan era and are capable of telling the difference between shite and Shinola.

Sorry messer Bill, but this conservative ain't buying it. Perhaps you would be better served counseling Tiger Woods on Bimbo control and how to remake his image into something more palatable to his lost fans. But this old dog knows a shining when he sees one. Even when it is delivered by a master of deception like yourself.

No Mr. president, it's not the fear of a resurgence of Timothy McVeigh's that concerns you or the rest of those in your camp. It is the realization that the American people are awakened to your lies and deceptions and they are stepping forward and side stepping a complicit media to rouse their supporters and get their message across.

And word of mouth? Is a trump card that the democrats can't defeat. Not even with their collusive media and the ability to seemingly control the conversation through media. Maybe in an earlier time, but not with the advent of the internet.

You shame the memory and events of recent history with your intentional mischaracterizations and attempts to paint Americans resistant to socialism and progressive democrats as terrorists.

I ain't buying it and neither will anyone else with half a brain.
