Woman Wears Vietnam MIA-POW Bracelet For 38 Years Until Soldier Comes Home

On May 14th 2011, I left Georgia with several other Patriot Guard Rider friends and we rode from West Georgia before daylight, to a little town named Brierfield Alabama. Brierfield is about 40 miles south of Birmingham.

We arrived about 7:30 that morning and met up with about 40 other Patriot Guards who had all arrived to honor the memory of Army Green Beret: SPC James Leslie Moreland.  SPC Moreland had been MIA since 1968 and after his remains were discovered and identified in the wreckage of his Huey UH1 in Cambodia, he was returned for identification and now he was being returned to his home town for burial next to his parents on that spring day.

To this day, SPC Moreland's memorial service remains the most poignant mission I have ever attended as a PGR member.  My memories remain clear of that day and all that I saw.  The owner of an American Van Lines truck and franchise, sent his POW/MIA graphics tractor to be in the procession.  The US Army Green Berets sent and entire detachment of Green Berets to attend the service.  Probably at least thirty of them were there that day for SPC Moreland's service and to provide his honor guard during his burial with full military honors.

There were about seventy five Patriot Guard Riders who came that day from several states, to honor the service and the memory of
Green Beret James Leslie Moreland. We were each there to stand for him, as he once stood for each of us.   It was a ceremony befitting a returning hero and the little community of Brierfield Alabama treated him as their returning hero that day.

Two of those attending that day had a special meaning to the service and to those in the community of Brierfield who came to pay their respects.  The first person I am speaking of was
Col. Paul Longgrear. Colonel Longgear had been SPC Moreland's unit commander when he went MIA back in 1968.  Colonel Longgear had retired from the Army as a full Colonel and on this day in 2011, he had made the journey to Brierfield Alabama to pay his respects and provide the eulogy for his friend Green Beret James Leslie Moreland.
The second person who was there that day was a lady named Kathy Strong. Kathy Strong had been a eight year old little girl when SPC Moreland had gone missing in action in 1968. Four years later, when she was twelve, she had asked for and received a POW?MIA bracelet as a Christmas gift. The bracelet she received had
Green Beret James Leslie Moreland's name on it. That day she made a promise and a commitment to not take the bracelet off until SPC Moreland returned home.  In spite of the odds and several personal difficulties in her life, she managed to keep that promise for thirty eight years. She finally took the bracelet off her wrist, the day before SPC Moreland's burial. She took it off and placed it on the sleeve of his uniform in the casket.

The day we left the funeral home to lead the hearse and the procession to the cemetery, I remember riding with the others, down this two lane Alabama highway for several miles.  We then turned off and drove down a narrow gravel road into a pine thicket. As we rode for about a quarter of a mile, the road narrowed and the trees seems to come closer in.  Then suddenly we reached the clearing and there stood a small white clapboard church and a church cemetery that was maybe two acres, buts the larger shock was what I saw standing around the cemetery.

I have told people many times before that Brierfield Alabama is the closest thing I have ever seen to the fictional town of Greebow Alabama, fictional home of Forrest Gump.  That afternoon when we rode into that little church clearing, I believe to this day that every individual in that little town who could be there, was there.  A little town with maybe a population of 1500 and by golly I think most all of them were there that day to pay their respects to
Green Beret James Leslie Moreland. He was one of their and they wanted the world to know that they remembered.

It took us 10 minutes just to find parking for all the bikes and to line up our flag line that day and once we had established the flag line, they brought in the honor guard carrying the remains of SPC Moreland and followed by his family.  It was a beautiful service and Colonel Longgear's eulogy was one of the most heartfelt expressions of love and sentiment i have ever had the privilege to twenty to be present for.

After the eulogy and prayers offered the pastor in attendance, the Green Beret Honor Guard performed TAPS and a twenty one rifle salute and four A4 Skyhawk attack aircraft performed a flyover of the missing man formation.  After which, the flag was folded by the Honor Guard and presented to the family.

We broke our flag line down and greeted many of the residents who were there for the service. We spoke with a  few of the family member and offered our condolences.  We were told that when SPC Moreland's mother was still alive, her last with to family and friends, was that if they ever found him, to bring him home and have him buried next to her and his father.  On May 14, 2011, SPC Moreland's mother's wishes were fulfilled.

Today, August the 30th 2015, over four years since I attended this mission to honor the service of
Green Beret James Leslie Moreland, I was viewing the facebook page of my friend Rhonda who lives in Oklahoma.  She posted a story a couple of days ago with a link about a lady you spent thirty eight years honoring a pledge that she made when she was twelve years old.  As soon as I saw the heading, I knew immediately who it was and who the story was about.  Today In finally saw the video

What occurred today can best be summed up in one word.  That word is serendipity.

Semper Fidelis and thank you Rhonda.

I am going to post and link a couple of videos that I took the day of the mission and a few photos.

When The Media Becomse The Target Will They Listen

Yesterday the media became the target and once again, the immediate reaction has been the predictable media sponsored calls for more gun control. Gun control becomes the siren call of the mainstream media and the mythological panacea that solves all societal wrongs anytime some random nut decides to kill people.

I have a question. Would it be different if unborn babies were killed with guns? When are the calls for respect of unborn life and individual responsibility going to be represented as necessities worthy of national introspective or reflection by the mainstream media? When are those values going to be expressed as worthy concerns by media?  When is the media going to challenge the millions of babies murdered legally in America each year?

The assault weapons most frequently used to kill over fifty million unborn children in this country over the last forty two years, are commonly found in abortion clinics across America every day; and no one says a damn thing about those. No one calls for those weapons of death to be limited or restricted. No one tells the abortionist how many instruments he is allowed to possess or utilize.

Planned Parenthood...... Has killed more human beings than any random psychopath has ever killed in America or ever will kill, yet there remains no hue and cry against their actions or their harvesting of unborn babies as a business. Those babies they harvest as "tissue" are treated no better than bacteria in a petri dish. They have no rights and no say so, yet you never hear the impassioned pleas of mainstream media to end the violence perpetrated against their lives.

We hold these truths to be self evident?  That all men are created equally? That all are entitled to the rights to life? Liberty? And the pursuit of happiness?  All but the disqualified class of the unborn apparently. There was a time when the law of this land established that anyone with one drop of black blood was enough to consider them black and deprive them of the constitutional rights and protections afforded to all others. Yet when are we going to adhere to the constitutional directive that we are as a nation are to: "
secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity."

So my version of the media reality that consistently preaches gun control on the heals of another random act of violence is this. Don't preach to me about gun control and black lives matter, or random acts of violence? As long as the media industry in this country stands idly by while millions of unborn children are killed annually in this country every day. Killed without so much as the bat of an eye. Of which? A significant majority of those slaughtered unborn babies are black. Therefore, the media can preach until their lungs burst about black lives matter and I am not getting their message. I refuse to get it, just as long as they continue to refuse to acknowledge the truth behind these "random acts of violence," and how they are both perpetuated and allowed to occur. The same as abortions are perpetuated and allowed to occur.

The media can preach to me about gun control and responsible gun ownership, right after they demonstrate to me that there is a consensus of opinion nationally, both in media and in government, that demonstrates that effective measures can be taken and have been taken; to curb the wanton violence in abortion clinics. Violence against the unborn, that is occurring exponentially across the board in America every day. Talk to me about a respect for the value of human life, right after you have demonstrated your respect for the lives of the unborn.

I make no apologies for my feelings on these issues. If there are those that claim a woman's right to choose, includes a woman's right to kill her unborn baby? A human being who has done absolutely nothing to warrant death? Then I assert my right to choose to live unencumbered and in peace from the wanton desires and the criminal acts of those who may want to harm me or my family with their media ignored violent cultures.

In such instances as the preservation of my own life, I reserve the right to terminate the existence of anyone who threatens me with violence or death and if those in the media and their supporters don't like that? I say too bad. Just like in Roanoke Va. yesterday, its not the availability of legally obtained and legally owned firearms that is at the root of the problem. What is at the root of the problem in America is the lack of  individual responsibility and the lack of individual accountability and societies refusal to do what needs to be done to realistically curb violence, for fear of offending anyone but the victims of murder.

The US Army's Continued Separation From Reality. Egalitarianism 101

Apparently the US Army is prepared to graduate two women this week from Army Ranger school. "It will be a first!" "The moment will serve to demonstrate the new Army and the culturally pervasive meme that women can compete with men on any level."

Well of course they can, all you have to do is modify the terms of the contest and women are equally capable competitors.
So........now all we have to do? Is let our enemies know that we are fielding a new team of defenders and thus there will have to be new rules of war. Our enemies will have to modify their intentions to accommodate our new warriors. They will have to play fair and abide by our desires, the same way they have always abided by the Geneva convention.  Surely they will understand. Seeing as how the rest of the world is just one squishy verse of Cumbaya away from accepting  one another as equals anyway.  Right?

Besides......who needs soldiers in our modern strategically digital world of today.  All we should  need now a days, are drones and robots and those capable of manipulating game controllers from a stand off position in a bunker somewhere. The new qualifications for an American soldier will be their X Box credentials and their ability to unquestionably follow the orders of their commanders. Be they women, transsexuals or robots.

War is going to be so much more fun now and so much more fairly approached by all.

Oh happy day!

Apocalypse Now....The Chinese Edition

It is being reported that 700 tons of Sodium cyanide exploded in China last night.  Above is a photo of over 1000 brand new Renaults awaiting shipment at least a half a mile away from the blast. The third photo shows the extent of the blasts from overhead.  I am guessing the new Renaults won't be in the showrooms as expected this fall.

The site where the explosion occurred, is a known hazardous materials storage site and the Chinese government is refusing to comment

Meanwhile? World weather patterns continue to flow west to east.  Which means that whatever blew up in China last night will arrive on our shores in a few days or a couple of weeks. That gives an entirely new meaning to the term acid rain and who is really responsible for screwing up the environment now don't it.

Ferguson Is Being Stoked To Explode As Another Triggering Point

So.....last Thursday there were two Ferguson police officers shot and wounded.  Somehow I must have missed that on the news last week, because I know the media reported it. right.  Last night?  Another individual opened fire on two police officers in their vehicle and when they returned fire, he was critically wounded.  Meanwhile, others in the protest crowd opened up with gunfire on other police officers and troopers in Ferguson.

Police Shoot Man in Ferguson Following One-Year Anniversary of Michael Brown's Death

This morning they are reporting that the shooter was a "friend" of Michael Brown. Meanwhile others in Ferguson, including protest organizers are promising more protests today and what they are calling civil disobedience.  Stay tuned today folks, as this is almost certainly going to get out of hand again.

Fuses are being lit nationally. There is too much of this happening for it to be spontaneous or random.  Someone or some group of people are going around inciting violence and recruiting the young and stupid to be their trigger points.

A Year After Ferguson, Black Men Seven Times More Likely to Be Shot By police

Link To Washington Post Article

"There are lies, there are damn lies and there are statistics".......It looks like the Washington Post is about to shit stir the race baiting controversy once again on the heals of the Ferguson Missouri Michael Brown fiasco. The Washington Post is publishing a lead article today, decrying the number of police shootings of unarmed blacks in America and the apparent rise in the numbers of these shootings by police.

The statistics from the Washington Post data base of police shootings, reflect that twenty four blacks have been shot by police so far this year. The fact that there have been 585 people shot and killed by police this year, seems to reflect nothing to the media when looking for a racial angle to focus on. Its the 24 so called "unarmed blacks" that they want to focus on, because there is where the red meat to fire up the masses is.

The next statistic thrown on the table by the Post is this one. Blacks accounted for 40% of the 60 unarmed deaths at the hands of law enforcement officers so far this year.  Therefore, the representative statistical anomaly appears to be that blacks, a race that only comprises 6% of the overall population, are disproportionately being shot and killed by police officers. Add to that the disproportionate number who are shot and killed while unarmed and you have created the desired representation of racism.  Based upon those statistics, there can be no doubts of racism by the police. There appears to be an unarguable and clearly defined pattern of police abuse and police murder of the black man in America and the Washington Post wants to be the one to sound the alarm.

But wait a minute.....Is this the entire picture? Is this the accurate representation of statistics as portrayed by the Washington Post.   Or is this simply a cherry picked version of statistics that supports the socially driven media meme of unfairness to blacks that the Post is seeking to create.  According to this Washington Post article, blacks are seven times more likely to be shot by police (statistically), that whites are. Therefore it would appear to be an open and shut case and an undeniable fact that blacks are disproportionately targeted by police.

But its not an open and shut case, not by a long shot.

Its not an open and shut case for several other undeniable facts that the media and the progressive leftist in America don't like to talk about when they are creating their exclusionary landscapes of statistical analysis in support of disparate treatment of blacks in America  The glaring statistics that they don't like to talk about? Are the statistics of demographics and crime in America when viewed in their totality.

Just who is it committing crimes in America is determined by looking at the racial break down of those arrested and involved and those statistics portray an interesting reality. The link below will give you a peek in the box as to who is actually responsible for crime in America and the link will do so based upon statistics of race and ethnicity and crime in America provided by the FBI.

Of course since the link is to the published FBI statistics, the statistics are non-refutable and non-challenge-able, as they are the exact same statistical source that the Washington Post and others in media utilize to compile their data when they are trying to build their cases and force a racial perspective based upon cherry picked statistics. So I utilized their same source.

The link below takes you to the FBI source page of criminal demographics for 2012.  Keep in mind that the FBI is always two to three years behind on releasing their collective statistical analysis of crime in America,  therefore, 2012 statistics are what are currently available for review by the general public.

FBI 2012 Most Recent Crime Demographics

As you review the crime categories and you note the numbers of incidences of crimes by race, try to keep one number in mind.  As you are looking at crimes committed by blacks in America? Violent crimes..property crimes..sexual assaults...aggravated assaults and all other categories of crime listed?  Remember this,  these are all crimes committed by 6% of the population.  That's right. Look at the numbers for yourself and let that simple reality soak into your thinking. .

Truly 50% of ALL CRIME in America is committed by 6% of the population. So have the FBI's statistics proven for at least the past fifty years.  6% of the population? 6% of the population accounts for at least half of  those committing specific crimes in America today?  Does anyone in media seem interested or curious over that specific statistical reality?  Apparently not. The mainstream media is certainly not interested in those figures, because those figures serve only to cloud the perceptions the media is attempting to create in the minds of Americans.

The mainstream media is far more content to throw out cherry picked raw numbers and then weave their desired assertions of bias and racism into their spin cast of the news.  There are no racially charged connections to be made in the minds of the easily led, if all the media ever does is to tell the citizens at large the truth.  These citizens at large have no capability of discerning the truth any way, so why not tell them your truth and help them come to the conclusions that you would like for them to arrive at.

"A year after Michael Brown’s fatal shooting, unarmed black men are seven times more likely than whites to die by police gunfire"

That's right and that statistic is correct!

The problem is?  No one in politics or media is ever interested in plugging in the other statistics. When the media talks about the disproportionate numbers of blacks being arrested, the disproportionate number of blacks in prison, the disproportionate number of blacks being shot by police officers; no one ever considers that the disproportionate number of blacks involved and the disproportionate number of blacks being talked about, are the disproportionate number of blacks who represent 6% of the overall population of this country.

So in the fair analysis of racial demographics and crime and police intervention in America, it has to be recognized and realized that you are talking about 6% of the population that is responsible for at least 50% of all crime.  Therefore, the statistical probabilities that the 6% of the population, who are committing the largest volume by race of crimes statistically,  are going to be arrested, imprisoned or end up being shot by the police more often.

It is really not any statistical anomaly at all, once you look at the overall numbers.  What it is and what it truly represents is the smoke and mirrors being used to deceive the American people and those willfully being lied to and those willfully accepting the forced perspectives of race bias where no race bias even exists.

If tomorrow 10,000 Martians came to earth and began committing crimes of the magnitude and frequency as to account for 50% of our crimes every year, Would it be considered racist to point out that all those crimes were being committed by a minority of 10,000 Martians?  You damn right it would be and there in lies the real problem of race and racism in America.  Its racism because the media says its racism and the politicians and the sheep follow those representations and willfully accept the falsely created reality as the undeniable truth.

Blacks in America are more likely to be shot by police for one reason and one reason only. Blacks commit the largest proportion of crimes annually in America.

The Socceress And The 2016 Fox News Debate Circus: Trump Wins.....

Different people can witness the exact same event and come away with entirely different perceptions. Nothing unusual there.  Such was the case last night as it concerned the first Fox News GOP major debate of the 2016 election.  Fox had already hosted an earlier and lesser GOP debate of the seven not so shiny candidates who were not invited to the big stage last night.  The major difference that I could see between the two debates, was that  Fox News didn't try to ambush the seven lesser candidates in the first debate; but they sure as hell did try to ambush the ten prime time candidates and Donald Trump had the largest bulls-eye on his backside of any of them.

Brett Behr opened the Fox News circus by coming directly after Donald Trump with the obvious question that was designed to attack Trump on his position concerning a third party run.  From that point forward in the debate, every effort put forth by the Fox News panel seemed to be aimed more at proposing "gotcha" questions to Trump and the other nine candidates, than pursuing genuine lines of questioning.

A debate is supposed to be the opportunity for the people to see a comparative analysis of varying and differential political opinions by the candidates.  Apparently Fox News didn't get the memo on that little nuance of debate.  Each of the Fox all stars seemed more interested in sniping the candidates and sarcasm; than they were at obtaining genuine position statements from the candidates concerning their positions on the issues that concern American voters.

When the Fox debate panel came after Donald Trump (once again) on his previously widely publicized and equally widely criticized illegal immigration comments, Trump rightly responded that they would not even be talking about illegal immigration if it weren't for him have raised the issue and taken exception to it. Trump stood his ground and good for him.  On a side note, Jeb Bush had enough presence of mind to not allow them to put words in his mouth either.

No, Donald Trump is not the most poised or polished political candidate on the landscape and I for one consider that to be one of his strongest assets.  As Trump rightly noted last night as the panel continually attempted to paint him into politically correct corners. Politically correct driven politics and weak and stupid leadership is precisely what has gotten this country into trouble and it has to stop.  The "tone" has to be one of leadership and not one of worry over which malcontent minority segment of the country or the world, is going to be offended by truthfulness and honesty.

I cannot say whether Donald Trump will be able to sustain his candidacy and survive the collective attacks of media from all corners to garner the GOP nomination, but I do know this.  They won't shut the man up by throwing politically correct allegations at him, or by attempting to twist his words.  No more than Megyn Kelly's failed attempt to visibly demonstrate her disgust for Trump during the debate last night.  Her misogynist allegations and attempts at baiting Trump as some Neanderthal women hater, failed as quickly as a fart in a crowded elevator.  Personally, I have been over Megyn Kelly's cutesy glamour and stylized reporting as a fox babe for quite a while now and her actions last night during the debate;  just reinforced my previous decisions and opinions of her less than admirable talents as either a reporter or as a debate host.

The really bothersome revelations that are beginning to surface this morning for Fox News are two fold. First, while CNN and the rest of leftist media are doing the "libtard electric leg spasm" (of Chris Matthews ilk this morning), the majority of mainstream conservative Americans didn't seem to get the same thrills as Fox News and the rest of the liberal media did last night from the Fox circus.

As a matter of fact, it appears the Fox News antics during the debate last night only served to piss off a lot of conservative Americans. Secondly, the initial polls of the reactions and over all performance recordings of the candidates during the debate last night?  Seem to reflect that Trump was the winner (once again) by a large margin, followed by Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio and Mike Huckabee.  Jeb Bush paled in comparison to the entire panel of candidates in my observation, with the possible exception of Rand Paul, who made a complete ass out of himself. Ben Carson was funny at times, but obviously out of his depth, as was Chris Christie and the other lesser known candidates.

My thinking going into the debate last night was simple.  For Trump to remain a leader of the GOP field, all he needed to do was "not play the other man's game."  I believe he succeeded on that count.  He refused to play the games of Megyn Kelly or Chris Wallace or Brett Behr.  Trump came away as the winner of those sparring matches and the Fox News panel came away looking like partisan amateurs, more suited to moderating some leftist chat forum than a nationally televised political debate.

The Media & The Field of GOP Candidates, Need to Stop Messing With The Tar Baby

Donald trump has risen to the top of seventeen candidates for the GOP nomination by artful design. there has been no deceit involved, only the raw, unabashed and UN-waxed truth.  That's what Americas like him and that is why he continues to hold the interest and imagination of American voters who are tired of the business as usual antics of the present field from both parties.

Those who are familiar with the story of the Tar Baby would do well to revisit it and learn from the lesson taught to Brer Rabbit and all who sought to punch a Tar Baby.  When you punch a Tar Baby?  All you do is get yourself stuck in the mess adn besides, the Tar Baby likes it.

I say go for it Donald.  Tonight all you need to do is be yourself and let those who want to punch the Tar Baby have at it.  When the sun comes up tomorrow, America will see who is covered in the aftermath and who has made an ass out of themselves trying to pin the tail on the donkey.

America's Funniest Videos Aren't That Funny Any More

Back during the aftermath of the Rodney King incident in 1991 and the
subsequent publishing of the video that led to three LAPD officers
being convicted and sent to federal prison, I took the time and the
effort as a watch commander with APD, to check out a video camera from
our ID section.  It was one of the typical video camera's of the era and
technology of 25 years ago. It was huge by today's standards  The
camera was shoulder operated and taped directly onto a VHS tape and it
weighed about ten pounds.

After signing the camera out, I used that camera to video tape the officers on my watch for over a
week. Then I told them to come in early for training one night.  Once
they were assembled prior to watch, I brought out the TV and popped in
the tape.  I stood back and watched the squirming and the under the
breath comments being made for several minutes before one of the
officers finally asked: "Lieutenant?  why were you taping us?"

I told him that I was glad that he asked that question.  I then proceeded
to explain to my watch of twenty or so officers present, that I had
taped them for no other reason than to prove a point.  The point being?
If (I) could get close enough to them to tape them unbeknownst to
them?  With that huge clunky shoulder aimed VHS camera?  The boss?  The
one guy they are always on the look out for? Then just imagine what
someone armed with one of the state of the art handheld digital cameras
(of that period) could do to tape them.

That was almost 25 years ago. A lot has changed since then concerning technology. The
advent and use of dashboard camera's has become the standard in almost
all police vehicles and presently the issuance of body camera's seems to
be the latest technological advancement for law enforcement agencies
nationally,  particularly on the heels of last summer and fall and the
highly publicized deaths in Missouri and New York of individuals
involved with police.

The advent of body cameras is not what it may seem to be though.
Those camera's are not for the protection of the individual police officer or for the purposes of
supporting or defending the officers actions. On the contrary, the
purpose of those cameras is to provide yet another layer of the onion of
examination and scrutiny of the police, once a police action has taken
place. From here on out, every time a police officer is involved in any
act of law enforcement intervention, the immediate hue and cry will be
to release and review the body camera video.  Every minute action and
every word by the officer involved will be scrutinized to the finest
detail and if their isn't any video footage of the incident in question,
immediate assertions of coverup and conspiracy will be launched against
the officer and the agency; and the fact that it wasn't video taped
will become sufficient evidence to support whatever allegations are made
against the officer/s involved.

If that isn't a bothersome enough reality for the average young officer today, the fact
that every single time they get out of their car or walk out of their
home, someone is either actively video taping them or preparing to do so
with a cell phone video camera.  Officers no longer have to worry about
some random individual with a hand held digital camera the size of a
pint of ice cream lurking in the shadows.  Now all it takes is a smart
phone to video tape anything they hear or desire and people are doing
just that.

Today's smart phones have better video camera capabilities than video cameras specifically designed for that purpose as recently as ten years ago.  And the memory chips n those
phones are more powerful than the computers that were aboard the Apollo
moon missions of forty five years ago. These camera phones of today will
provide hours of recording on a single phone's memory chip.  Officers
today should know and recognize immediately, that everyone has a phone
camera and as soon as they see the police doing anything at all, they
are immediately taping it and hoping to catch the officer doing
something that can be questioned.  Why?  Because they want to make
themselves famous and the officer in question infamous on youtube.

Therefore, it should be rightfully asked in the minds of all currently active
police officers in America......"why should I engage in any enforcement
activity, that may even remotely be called into question by a cell phone
video taken for the express purpose of questioning and vilifying my
actions?"

The irony here is that the vision of the future that George Orwell envisioned
in his dystopian novel publish in 1949 is literally coming to pass.  The
greater irony is that the all seeing eyes are presently in the hands of
the public at large and they are being trained on the police.  The
fruition of Orwell's vision will come later most certainly, but only
after the existing ranks of police officers in America have been
decimated and replaced by those willing to stand aside while absolute
government control replaces and removes all individual freedom in
America.  Then is when the all seeing eyes of government will be trained
on the public and the actions of the then existing police state, will
no longer matter.

I have seen a lot of videos of police officers over the last twenty odd years.  Many of them doing
stupid and idiotic things in full view of the camera.  Many of those
videos produced by their own dash cameras during arrests and other
videos that were taken with the full knowledge of the officer involved,
that the camera was there and they were being video taped.  (COPS TV
show as an example) The simple truth and the sad reality in my
observation, is that the video taping will continue and it will increase
and at some point in the very near future, police officers will be
relegated to no more than crime scene investigators, for fear of doing
anything that might even remotely be construed as improper.

They will no longer respond to the scene of active crimes and if they do
find themselves present at the scene of an active crime, they will
invest their time and efforts in insuring that the video being recorded
of them and by them, is sufficient to defend them.  They will be more
interested in the very real potential of accusations against them, than
they are in arresting any criminals; and they will seek to insure that
the video recordings reflects that they could not have possibly acted
improperly, because they did not act at all.

Above is an example of both an antagonistic citizen and the questionable actions
of a police officer who knew he was being video taped.  You decide.

You decide.

The Changing Demographics of The Greater Metropolitan Atlanta Area

I decided to take a look at the present demographics, as published by the US Census bureau of the twelve county greater metropolitan area.  I found some interesting information.  I took the time to collect the basic information in screen captures to include into this blog.  Each of the city and suburban counties are listed, so if you live in Atlanta or one of the suburban "greater Atlanta" metropolitan areas, maybe you should have a look at how your county compares to the others.

America's New #1 Villain "The Huntress!"

I saw this gal posting and getting hammered on Facebook all last week. Now it appears the media has discovered her and they have started their own shit storm about her and her hunts.  The bottom line for me is this.  I am not a hunter and never have been a hunter. I don't disagree with those who hunt food animals like deer or rabbits or birds for both their sport and food, but I do take exception to those like this gal, who seem to hunt exclusively for the so called thrill of it.

If killing animals is a thrill or its the way you get your thrills? Then that is something indicative of a sick mind to me.  I am not against killing animals for food, but just to shoot something like a Giraffe so that you can say you shot one? I'm sorry, but that puts you in the sick mind category for me.

On another note, these hunts and these stories are nothing new. The only thing that is new? Is the news (media) using them to distract away from other stories that they want Americans to forget about.  Stories like the planned parenthood revelations of selling dismembered aborted babies and the Iran nuclear deal Obama and Kerry are trying to nurse through congress. Or the dismal economy. all worthy issues of interest, but its more important to chase ghosts and vilify individuals over activities that are undoubtedly legal and paid for in Africa before the shit storms began.

And yes, that is precisely why stories like this gal "huntress"  and the other American who supposedly killed Cecil's brother are being given headline banners and added segments in the morning and evening news reports. Where are the reports of people being targeted and assaulted by blacks because they are white or because they have a Confederate flag?  We are not seeing those in the mainstream, because these actions and crimes don't fit the mainstream medias desired representation of race relations in America.  That's alright. give it time. A time is coming when they will no longer be able to deny the truth or the reality.

I hope everyone remembers this when the wheels come off the wagon of our economy and there is rationing of food and gasoline and even electrical power. And once the rioting in the streets begins and the mob robs become daily events and the tempo of more black lives matter rampaging against white people begins to occur on a daily basis nationwide. Oh!  And don't forget the continued ginned up hate for the Confederate flag, while the same people who allege hatred by others, proudly display their pride flags all over this country and decry and demean the Confederate flag.

In America today?  Hate is like beauty. Its in the eye of the beholder and who the media chooses to approve for hate.

Half of Those Killed in Police Chases, Are Not Those Being Pursued

Link to Video

"High speed chases kill over three hundred Americans every year. At least half of those are innocent victims who were not the object of the chase."

So blare the headlines of a recent study published by USA Today and picked up by every major news outlet in America. According to these statistics and the subsequent reports by media who have diligently investigated them, police chases must be curtailed and stopped before more innocent people are killed.

Calling for an end to police chases or at the least severe restrictions of police chases, is seemingly a noble thought to most. We need to put an end to these needless deaths and the obvious causation factors and the prominent evidence involved, points directly at the police as the prominent cause. It is the fault of police nationally that all of this is happening, therefore, we need to curtail the ability of police to continue to jeopardize the lives of innocent people.  Or so it seems.

Once again, the argument in support of a media driven representation, is that statistics don't lie. However,  the fact that liars use statistics to consistently shape the conversation in favor of their skewed representations, is conveniently swept aside and lost on the public at large.

There are a number of dynamics at play in the decision making process involving police pursuits nationally. Police departments around the country have already been coerced into severely restricting their pursuit polices; however, to accept the premises currently being represented by the media, the only resolution to end the needless deaths of innocent people in police chases,  appears to be to end all police chases period, except in extremely limited circumstances.

Either that. or outright eliminating all police chases altogether seems to be the goal.

On the surface that may seem like a solution to the manifest problem of innocent people being killed in police chases, but in reality all that is accomplished by a policy such as that, is a transferal of threat from one action to another. In other words, every action has an equal and opposing action or reaction and such is the case concerning policy making decisions in  law enforcement locally and nationally every day.

As a police officer for thirty years, I have more than ample experience with police chases. As both an officer and as a supervisor and as a watch commander. I was involved directly and indirectly in countless police pursuits over my career. Decisions have to be made sometimes for the benefit of public safety. Those decisions by police are made or should be made with the best interest of the public at large as the foremost determining factor. Sometimes those decisions by police have deadly consequences, Hopefully those consequences are deadly for the criminal. However decisions made by police should never openly threaten the safety of the public, particularly just so the furtherance of an ill conceived forced perspective can be continued.

Decisions made concerning police chases have been wrong headed and sacrificial to innocent victims in America, since at least the late 1970's in my experience and observation. To every action there is an equal and opposing reaction.  When I became a police officer and went on the streets in March of 1973, there were no such things as regularly occurring police chases. Police chases were things of legend among the veteran officers. Only a fool or a seriously desperate criminal would even think of doing it when i first became a police officer. Hence when a police chase did occur, those involved knew immediately and instinctively, that the person fleeing was either a lunatic or a desperate fugitive with nothing to lose. There was a reason behind that thinking trust me.

In those days, back in the so called dark ages of law enforcement, the criminals knew all to well the consequences of running from the police, as did the public at large and consequently, only the seriously depraved would even consider running from the police, for the consequences were far too dire to consider as a sport.

In those days, those who ran from the police were roadblocked and shot, the moment the individual fleeing, did anything that threatened either the pursuing officer or the public at large. Those who ran and didn't attempt to force vehicles off the road or run roadblocks were given significant "attitude adjustments" once they were stopped.  That was the way it was and everyone involved was aware of the rules of engagement, especially the criminals.  Then in the late 1970's something changed. The controlling influences of media began to surface in America.  On the heals of the Watergate successes, there were others victories to be seized by media and changing the landscape of law enforcement in America was at the top of their list of priorities in my observation.

When I first became a police officer, it took almost three years for me to become involved in a high speed pursuit and for the aforementioned reasons.  By the time I retired twelve years ago? The numbers of pursuits in Atlanta had reached an average of two a day in each sector in each zone on each watch in the city. Six zones, two sectors and three watches each and that equals a dozen chases a day on each watch in Atlanta alone. Sometimes more. Therefore anyone observing this dramatic change over time would rightfully be concerned as to the causative factors behind such a quantum shift in thinking.  The answer to the change in policy, thinking and public reaction was and is not as complicated as some might think or believe.

There was one driving factor behind the change in Atlanta and I am sure that similar changes across the country, led to the same results and similar effects nationally. What was the major change? The change was the policy changes eliminating the use of deadly force to end police chases. Police agencies around the country decided that they were no longer going to allow their officers to shoot those who were fleeing. The consensus of opinion being, that there was no way to know what the person was fleeing for, therefore, risking the taking their lives over some potentially trivial traffic violation wasn't worth it.  It was unanimously believed that it was better to chase them until they stopped and risk the lives of countless innocent people in the process, than it was to shoot them to end the chase immediately.

And so it goes. There in lies the truth and reality behind the quantum shift in police chases nationally over the past forty years. To add insult to injury, the media having succeeded in increasing the danger to the public at large a hundred fold, decided that these chases and pursuits were in fact great entertainment.  Hence the advent and popularity of televisions shows like COPS and America's Scariest Police Chases. Any intelligent person might rightfully ask, what were you people thinking? Where the hell did you think this would go once you literally opened the flood gates and then all but sold tickets to the event?

Police chases in America got out of hand and people began to exponentially die for some very simple and very understandable reasons.  We as Americans chose to limit the powers of the police and we as Americans decided to hand our safety over to the media for entertainment purposes.  It was alright as long as someone else's son or daughter or wife or husband was being maimed or killed at the hands of those inspired to flee by the instant celebrity of it created by media. Who can ever forget the low speed chase involving O.J. Simpson?  Or the countless others broadcast live by all of the major networks coming out of Los Angeles and other cities each day.

So who is to blame for the runaway train wreck of police chases in America today?  Well of course, its the police! We all knew that! Right!  The sad reality is, we have come to a point now where there are no easy or simple solutions. The police have so sufficiently been neutered and demonized by the media, that their influence over crime and criminals is negligible at best.  Remember, for ever action, there is and equal and opposite reaction. Such is the case concerning police pursuits and such will be the case concerning the furtherance of restrictive police pursuit polices. All that is accomplished by restricting the police from doing their jobs, is the further emboldening of those who are set on victimizing the rest of society at large.

Therefore, look to see more crime and more violent crime as a result of these further restrictive polices. Why?  Because once the criminals at large know and realize that the police cannot chase them at all any more? The immediate result is to take advantage of that newly acquired ability and exploit it to the fullest extent.

The pursuit policy in may jurisdictions around the country is now limited to those who are known to be fleeing a forcible felony and are armed and the police feel they can articulate these factors sufficiently to justify pursuit.  Really?  Do you think any reasonable police officer is going to jeopardize his life, his family and his career over some street thug who knows how to play the system.  I say no and I say as a consequence of the actions of media in America and media locally, the police will be and are being further restricted to the point that criminality will become a sport for the criminals, much as running from the police did a generation ago.  And you know what? The media will be right on top of it providing producing reality television programming to satiate the evil beast that the media has created and furthered in America.

A Woman's Right To Choose Is Getting Real Complicated These Days.

"Planned Parenthood has been a trusted nonprofit provider of women’s health care for nearly a century. Each year, 2.7 million people come to our health centers for high-quality, nonjudgmental, compassionate care."

I have a question? If you are not doing anything wrong? Then why do you need "non judgmental compassionate healthcare?"

These are not extremist videos. these are not videos someone dreamed up in their mother's basement and put together as a film editor's debut project of science fiction. These videos are of Planned Parenthood doctors and others, willfully and openly discussing the harvesting of unborn babies and their organs, as a for profit money making enterprise and Planned Parenthood cannot fathom why any of this is happening. they were just discussing operating costs. Right?

Those at Planned Parenthood, who have run this scam of alternative healthcare for decades, can dance on the head of a pin all they want. They can lash out and attempt to manipulate their faux guilt transfer to those who have revealed them all they want. They can assail these reports and these videos and those who outed them as extremist productions until hell freezes over if they want, but the bottom line remains. It is what it is and Planned Parenthood and their supporters have been caught and outed for the very crimes and offenses that they have denied participating in for decades.

So watch very closely who rallies around them and defends them in the wake of these revelations of organ harvesting aborted babies for a price. The evil that exists in these facilities is only now being exposed to the American people and even though it is a dripping with the innocent blood reality of truth, the American media still has not devoted the attention to these revelations that the revealed facts are literally screaming for. The American media is complicit in all things socialist, egalitarian and secular and abortion is at the top of their list of immediately defense-able causes that they will always color to the advantage of the vaunted "woman's right to choose."

All I can say is this. When you are supporting a woman's right to choose, simply have a look at their choices and then have a look at who is supporting them and then have a look at who is in reality making the money from their choices and their right to choose. Like so many other realities in life.....follow the money.......

Racism? Its All In The Name

Now the residents of Pine Lake Ga.? Want to change the name of Forrest Rd. in Pine lake Ga. They seem to believe that their road must have been named after Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest..  There is absolutely no evidence to support the suspicions of a resident who proudly stated her deference in favor of the name change, while standing on her porch with her pride flag as a backdrop that was not lost on the WSB TV cameraman and reporter. The resident stated that she did not know if the road was named after infamous Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest or not, but just in case, she wants to change it anyway. At least remove one or the R's.

I don't think the idiotic ethnic purge of all things confederate and offensive should stop there.  I think they should go through the phone books nationwide and force everyone in America with the last or the first name of Forrest to change their names to something less offensive to black people and less offensive to all the others who support the egalitarian cleansing of America.

And the same for all of those individuals with the names Lee first or last. And what about Jackson?  Stonewall?  So even though there is no provable connection with the names, anyone with those names or any other names that can be associated with Confederate generals would need to be changed and removed. Looks like a noble cause to be begun nationwide right?

What about........

Stuart! Longstreet! Bragg! Pickett!  and what about..... Andersen! Johnson! Mosby! and Beauregard! Hill! Ewell! Johnson! Early! Smith! Hood! Bee! Armistead! Alexander!

All of those names most assuredly are insensitive and sufficiently racially offensive to someone. So I think that we need to force those people with those names  to change their names and take those names off of all gravestones too!  We wouldn't want someone walking by the grave of a Lee or Mosby or driving down any street in the USA named Hill or Alexander and suddenly having a racially insensitive episode of perceived racail oppression now would we.

Obama's Words Defend Southern Rights

"When you start treating people differently, not because they are doing harm to anybody, but because they are different. That's the path whereby, freedoms begin to erode" "The idea that they are going to be treated differently, or abused because of who they love is wrong."  ~Barack Obama~

Prophetic words by the great one spoken in Kenya yesterday. There is only one problem. Those are words spoken by Barack Obama in defense of homosexuality as some supposed right of all, including Kenyans. The Kenyan's didn't appreciate that. Kenya, the home of Obama's father and the country where the Kenyan's told Obama before he arrived....."don't go there." But obviously, Obama and his handlers couldn't pass up the opportunity to further the agenda of homosexuality globally, while basking in the glory of his home country.

Personally, I find Obama's defense of homosexuality both an interesting and an ironic dichotomy of his presidency.  Particularly as he defended it yesterday in Kenya. Obama's defense of homosexuality is interesting from the perspective that he is the individual who was on record as both a Illinois senator and a US senator and as president, as being totally against same sex marriage. However, now he is in the forefront of championing all things homosexual, lesbian and transsexual. I mean Hells! Bells!  It's a wonder he didn't take the world's most renowned transsexual Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner along with him on this trip to Kenya. They could have all sung along with John Kerry and James Taylor, to the tune of "you've got a friend" to the Kenyan people too.

The Kenyans and their president told Obama that they hoped that he didn't bring his homosexual agenda with him to their shores, but it looks like those sentiments served only to bait the great one into that much more of a desire to speak out in front of the world about homosexuality while in Kenya.  I am of the opinion that among Obama's most glaringly lacking social traits, the absence of social graces at any stage are the most visible. Both personally and diplomatically Obama continually demonstrates his political inexperience and juvenile repertoire of incompetence to lead this nation on a regular basis.

Something tells me that championing homosexuality was not part of the "Dreams of His Father" that he wrote about in the book. Something tells me that that they were not part of any "Audacity of Hope" he also wrote about. So they must have been part of that "Change You Can Believe In" that he has forced upon the American people and now looks to force upon the Kenyans and others.

Changes that Obama hopes to inflict even on his true homeland, now that he is president and on the down hill slide toward the end of his presidency.  Some say that he is working on his legacy.  I say his in your face challenge to the Kenyan people and their president yesterday will be part of his everlasting legacy in Kenya, because the Kenyan people aren't interested in his interference in their country or their culture. On the one hand? They intend to take his advice. They don't intend to treat homosexuals in Kenya any differently today than they did yesterday or tomorrow.

Meanwhile, there is a larger parallel to Obama's message of perceived rights and discrimination that will probably be lost on many.

"When you start treating people differently, not because they are doing harm to anybody, but because they are different. That's the path whereby, freedoms begin to erode" "The idea that they are going to be treated differently, or abused because of who they love is wrong."  ~Barack Obama~
Obama's words and assessment of harm and the erosion of freedoms is something that is immediately applicable to a present and ongoing dilemma facing other people here in America today.  There is another group and there is another class of people here in America today who are presently being discriminated against. They are presently being treated differently. There is presently harm being done to them. They are being abused and their freedoms are presently being eroded, but no one seems to care about that, the least of which being Barack Hussein Obama.

Those individuals being unfairly judged and unfairly discriminated against, are those presently having their individual rights and freedoms openly attacked. Those individuals are American Southerners.  They have rights too don't they?  They have a right to love those who they choose to love don't they?  They have a right to love American patriots too don't they? Both living and  deceased? Don't they?  People like Thomas Jefferson and George Washington and yes.....even those like Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson and Nathan Bedford Forrest and others.

Those Americans and their histories and their memorials are part of who they are and what and who they love. No different than those wrapping themselves in the pastels of the pride flag and vaunting their sexuality as a  supreme court newly approved right of ascendency today.

Southerners and those who love and honor their heritage and their forefathers and their ancestors? Have every bit as much right to do so and to do so unfettered and absent being demeaned and demonized, or discriminated against by government and those presently in elected public offices today.

So from where I stand?  Barack Hussein Obama just made the case for defense of heritage and the right to love who you choose on a basis and at a level that is undeniable.  As a Southerner and as a Christian and as an American, I have a right to love my ancestors and my heritage. I have a right to love my God and follow his teachings and I have a right to practice my love and my faith, absent being discriminated against on any level by either my government, the media or others.

What say you?  Do you believe it is time to stand up for your own rights to choose?  Is it time to stand up and defend your ancestors and your heritage?  Is it time to stand up and defend your God and his teachings?  I say it is. I say it is time to tell this president.....we have rights too and we will defend those rights.
