Birther controversy gets Trumped

America's birth certificate (the US Constitution) requires that you show yours......

For over two years, Americans have raised a simple and valid question. Where is president Obama's birth certificate and why does he refuse to produce it. Now, it looks as if that question may finally gain some traction as a result of Donald Trump.

I've got my birth certificate, where President Barack Obama's?

Donald Trump now sees himself as something of a patron saint for the birthers – and he's even released his own birth certificate as he steps up criticism of the president.

Seeking to pump more energy into the birther movement and quirky chase for the White House, Trump on Monday provided a copy of his birth certificate to the conservative website Newsmax – which has played a leading role in trumpeting birther mythology.

And in an interview on Fox News, Trump cast himself as something akin to the rebel leader of the birther movement.

“Now, this guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn’t,” Trump said. “And I didn't think this was such a big deal, but I will tell you, it’s turning out to be a very big deal because people now are calling me from all over saying, please don't give up on this issue."

I remember the 2004 election cycle. Back when John Kerry's military record was called into question. That came to be known as the 'Swift Boat' controversy. John E. O'Neill, Jerome R. Corsi wrote a best selling book titled 'Unfit for Command,' that chronicled Kerry's military career and the eye witness testimony of those who served with Kerry and later came forward to recount how Kerry had falsified his Viet Nam service record. The book and the ground swell of Americans who questioned Kerry's record, ultimately denied him the white house and the presidency.

At the same time the media was ignoring John Kerry, Dan Rather and others in mainstream media were zeroing in on George Bush's Viet Nam military record and ultimately fabricating documents concerning his reserve status, in an attempt to falsify the record in order to justify their own ends. In the end, the manipulations and falsifications costs Dan Rather his prestigious anchor seat at CBS and it cost the network of Walter Chronkite their own journalistic prestige, which they have yet to recover.

Fast forward four years to the 2008 election cycle. Valid questions were raised concerning Barack Obama's birth place and his legal authority to run for and hold the office of the presidency in the face of constitutional requirements of birth.

A number of people have subsequently challenged Barack Obama's qualifications to be president pursuant to his alleged birth certificate and the constitutional requirements that spell out a candidates required natural born US citizen status. It's a simple question really. All that the president needs to do, is to produce his birth certificate. Either that, or direct those interested to where it presently or can be obtained and authorize its release.

Since the controversy first appeared, Obama and his handlers have literally spent millions of dollars in legal fees seeking to keep his birth records from the public eye and scrutiny. The present White House counsel has been the lead element in keeping the president's birth certificate away from public scrutiny.

These efforts to keep the document suppressed have included the collusion of numerous media outlets and networks, all of which have been solicited to produce the provided and now renowned 'copy of live birth' from the state of Hawaii, purporting to represent an official record of Obama's birth.

Both those responsible for disseminating the certificate of live birth document from Hawaii and those in the media who grabbed it and waved it madly as if they had finally been handed the smoking gun know, that this is not the evidentiary "fait accompli" that they would like everyone to believe it is.

Perhaps now that the celebrity Donald Trump has entered into the fray, we might move closer toward a real resolution of the truth of the matter. In our celebrity driven society, perhaps this was the impetus needed to finally reach the truth and generate the public interest to call for it. Perhaps Donald Trump can cause the media to pull their heads out of the sand to ask the question and demand the evidence that they should have required of this man over two years ago.

In the mean time, several states are drafting and (some)have already drafted and passed legislation requiring those seeking the presidency, to prove their eligibility for the office, via production of their birth certificates. Perhaps that will finally put the controversy to rest in the 2012 election, but it will do little to resolve the fact that in all probability, America has been being governed by an alien interloper for the entire term of his presidency.

100 million a day

At this rate, the costs is a billion dollars every ten days. Three billion dollars a month. So....how long can we sustain the financial burden of this and Afghanistan and Iraq?

Cost of Libya Intervention $600 Million for First Week, Pentagon Says

One week after an international military coalition intervened in Libya, the cost to U.S. taxpayers has reached at least $600 million, according figures provided by the Pentagon.

U.S. ships and submarines in the Mediterranean have unleashed at least 191 Tomahawk cruise missiles from their arsenals to the tune of $268.8 million, the Pentagon said.

U.S. warplanes have dropped 455 precision guided bombs, costing tens of thousands of dollars each.

A downed Air Force F-15E fighter jet will cost more than $60 million to replace.

And operation of the war craft, guzzling ever-expensive fuel to maintain their positions off the Libyan coast and in the skies above, could reach millions of dollars a week, experts say.

And some MSM sources are already seriously questioning Obama's statements in his speech last night.

I remember the chants: Bush lied people died! and Blood for oil!

So what is the difference now? IMO, the only difference is who is in the white house and who the mainstream media is supporting regardless of the facts.

The bottom line, Obama has once again lied to the American people. Only this time, he has done it to take us to war for someone elses oil. American treasure is being expended now in the pursuit of keeping Europe in oil? And they and their liberal minions in America are fine with that.

What a difference a few years make. What a difference a pliable and submissive media makes.

Too many tests? Makes Jack a dull boy.

All that is needed for this photo is a Dunce cap for the Dunce.

Obama says too much testing makes education boring

President Barack Obama said Monday that students should take fewer standardized tests and school performance should be measured in other ways. Too much testing makes education boring for kids, he said.

"Too often what we have been doing is using these tests to punish students," the president told students and parents at a town hall hosted by the Univision Spanish-language television network at Bell Multicultural High School in Washington, D.C.

Now Obama is moving into the social responsibilities arena of his socialist mindset. Too many tests are unfair. Too many tests are used as punishment.

Here's a tip Barry. Have a look at what the tests scores of kids in Japan and China are. Where they don't run around all day in a contaminated multiculturalist knee jerk society. Where their parents and teachers are more concerned with Utopian socialist ideals, than living in the real world of achievers and actually striving for goals.

I guess Barry would rather sit on his ass and have things handed to him like they have always been. And that is his recommendation for the yourth of today obviously.

Another heartless celebrity

This needs to be given the widest possible dissemination. Clipped from the L.A. Times.

What a heartless wench...............

'Barefoot Contessa' taking heat for repeatedly rejecting 'Make-A-Wish' cancer patient

Garten300 Someone might be in the market for a new PR team.
"Barefoot Contessa" Ina Garten has a new nickname -- "Heartless Contessa" -- in the wake of news that she repeatedly refused to meet with a 6-year-old boy named Enzo who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
According to the reports:
The boy, who would watch Garten from his sick bed, told the Make-A-Wish Foundation that he wanted to meet the Food Network celebrity. When told that her schedule was too busy, Enzo opted to wait. When the request was made once more, Garten's representatives replied with a "definite no," according to the online blog that the family kept about the boy's illness.
Cue the controversy.
"She is a pretty famous cook, but I doubt she is so busy that she can't cook one meal with this kid" read just one of the many comments posted on the story over on CafeMom, and The Stir launched a letter-writing campaign"Ina Garten -- Heartless Contessa" screamed one headline. "The Barefoot Contessa shatters a little boy's dreams," read another.
But perhaps the most biting comment came from Business Insider: "We're sure that she truly is pretty busy. But if she had time to throw a charity lunch for six Hamptonites -- who paid $100,000 to be there -- she can make time to whip up some meringues with a six-year-old."
(In Garten's defense, that was a charity luncheon.)
In response to the controversy, Make-A-Wish stressed to TMZ that Garten is a "good friend" of the foundation. A representative for Garten told the site: "Despite her demanding schedule, [Ina] participates and helps as many organizations as she can throughout the year, helping children and adults like Enzo with life threatening and compromising illnesses. ... Unfortunately, as much as she would like to, it's absolutely impossible for her to grant every request she receives."
We contacted Food Network in an attempt to reach Garten for her side of the story -- and we'll bet there is most certainly another side to this one. We'll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, two other Food Network celebrity chefs -- Iron Chef Michael Symon and Beau MacMillan -- have reportedly offered to cook with Enzo.
What do you think about this cooking controversy? Is Garten being unfairly vilified? Are the media rushing to judgment? And do Garten and others have an obligation to do whatever they can to make room in their schedules for young fans like Enzo?

In answer to the ending question? Without a doubt yes. There was a time in this country when celebrity demanded a level of humbleness. Now, that has been replaced by many so called celebrities with abject arrogance. I say, a pox on them. The minute they become so arrogant as to purposely injure a child's emotions? Then I for one believe that their following should walk and never look back. Let her celebrity status and subsequent wealth shrivel up and die where it belongs IMO.

"GE! We bring good things to life!"

An interesting little peek at the special relationship between General Electric and the Obama administration...

Green Energy’ Helps Bring GE Taxes to Zero

by Dan Freeman
While GE spent millions to elect President Obama and pushing fiscally destructive policies like cap & trade on the American taxpayer, the company’s bloated tax department of 975 employees has been busy making sure it’s own tax bill on $14 billion of revenues less than ZERO. That’s right, GE actually claimed a tax benefit of $3.2 billion.
It’s interesting to note that while Ronald Reagan cracked down on GE in the mid-1980s—he overhauled the tax system after learning that G.E. was among dozens of corporations that had used accounting gamesmanship to avoid paying any taxes—President Obama has taken the opposite approach. CEO Immelt and Obama have appeared joined at the hip of late, with the President even appointing him chairman of the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.
Among the actions Immelt has taken over the years to preserve GE’s preferential tax treatment, was to bribe Charles B. Rangel in 2008 (then Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee) with a $30 million “donation” to New York City schools, including $11 million to benefit various schools in Mr. Rangel’s district.
It’s all here in this devastating indictment of GE by NY Times reporter David Kocieniewski.
Now, let's take the way back machine to all the deriders of one George W. Bush and the cries of Haliburton!

Go ahead, you google it. It's all there. Try Keith Olbermann or Chris Matthews as key words to join with Bush and Haliburton in your search.

Here's one that didn't make the MSM

I guess this was a bit much for American mainstream media to cover. Seeing their idol stomped and trashed by his brother Muslims is more than they cared to report. This splib was on Yahoo as a photo and one paragraph report.

Sri Lankan Muslims beat and stamp on effigy

Sri Lankan Muslims beat and stamp on an effigy of U.S. President Barack Obama during a protest rally against the allied forces' air strike in Libya, in

Colombo, Sri Lanka, Friday, March 25, 2011. NATO's military staff is drawing up detailed plans to assume full control of the no-fly zone over Libya in coming days, after member nations agreed to take on the operation from a U.S.-led coalition.

American weapons to Al Qaida in Libya? Yes...

Truth be known, this program has already been approved and the weapons are flowing as we speak.  Keeping it real, people need to remember that tons of weapons were seized by American forces when we invaded Iraq. A good many of those I am sure were salted away for a rainy day.

That day is apparently here. Only the problem isn't the need of some truly fledgling democracy that needs our support. Those currently bearing the title of rebels and opposition in Libya, have already been identified to have significant numbers of Al Qaeda in their ranks.

Unintended consequences?
One of the unintended consequences of United Nations' Resolution 1970 was to starve the rebels of the weapons they would need to take on Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
It requires all UN members to "immediately take the necessary measures" to prevent the supply or sale of weapons to the Libyan government - with no exemption for anti-Gaddafi forces.

But Sky News now understands the US is looking at a legal framework to allow limited supplies of arms to the rebels, if they can prove they need them to defend themselves from attack.

Mark Kornblau, spokesman for US Ambassador Dr Susan Rice, confirmed it was a possibility.
If they are "looking at the legal framework?" Then you can bet that they are intent on doing it. I can see some investigative report down the road, tracing these weapons and clearly demonstrating that they  were used against American forces after the fact.

The beat goes on. Obama launches American military forces into combat without so much as a hello to congress and now his administration is arming militant Islamist with weapons that George Bush captured from other militant Islamist.

Anarchy in the streets

It's happening in Europe and in the UK. Yesterday there were an estimated 500,000 in London, many recognized as anarchists, rampaging and terrorizing the business districts.

A photo essay published by the UK Telegraph.

Coming to a neighborhood near you soon. These societies of endless entitlements cannot be sustained. Including ours.

It's only a matter of time. The protests two weeks ago in Wisconsin were just portends what is in store for the entire country. As cities and states begin to collapse and the federal safety net they have always depended on allows them to free fall into financial oblivion, the entitlement class will take to the streets here to rampage and burn.

Prepare yourself now.

'Tea Partiers ‘Don’t Deserve the Freedoms That are in the Constitution’

Coming to a neighborhood near you soon.

What happens when the socialist teat is pulled back and 'benefits' are cut or eliminated? Perhaps a look at what is currently happening with our cousins is in order.

Biggest demo to hit London since the Iraq war march as 400,000 join the anti-cuts protest

By Daily Mail Reporter

Last updated at 1:56 PM on 26th March 2011

* Anarchists threaten to 'unleash hell' during march in capital
* Labour leader Ed Miliband to speak at end of the demonstration
* Protesters start lunchtime sit-in along Shaftesbury Avenue
* Hooded anarchists throw paint and set off flares on Oxford Street
The TUC said the number of people in the march to London's Hyde Park had well exceeded their expectations
Hundreds of thousands of protesters have descended on London today in a mass protest being staged against Government cuts in public spending.

The TUC had estimated that around 100,000 union activists and other campaigners would take part in today's demonstration.

But by lunchtime unofficial figures put the numbers at 400,000, as protesters were still joining the march more than an hour after it started.
Protesters cross Waterloo Bridge to join the protest against cuts, in the biggest demonstration to hit London since the Iraq war march
Watch closely America. As we too have all the makings for our own bubbly pot, so this could easily becoming to a neighborhood near you in the near futures (and it will).

We have at least three generations now living, who were raised in the belief of government support and subsidy. Combined with the unionist mentality of organized socialism. Love or hate capitalism and those who have used their abilities as entrepreneurs to attain wealth. Either way one simple reality remains. In the absence of wealth exists only one thing, poverty. And the redistribution of wealth doesn't settle or balance the equation as the social engineers and the anarchists would have others believe.

What is happening in the UK and has already been stirring across Europe, is already here in America. It began when the governor of Wisconsin sought to eliminate unions ability to continue to strip the public treasury to the bone.

In the end, these clashes always end in violence, civil war and revolution. Thus is our future IMO. If we were to even begin to get a grip on our runaway budgets, it would cause austerity measures that will immediately invoke what we are seeing in the UK and elsewhere.

Those suckled on the public teat are not easily shaken loose from their benefits. Not at least until the body is dead and their is nothing left to suckle.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend

So here you have it in plain English. Americans are helping to liberate a country who is admittedly in congress with terrorists and those who have fought against Americans in Iraq and elsewhere.

Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, has said jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Muammar Gaddafi's regime.
In an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, Mr al-Hasidi admitted that he had recruited "around 25" men from the Derna area in eastern Libya to fight against coalition troops in Iraq. Some of them, he said, are "today are on the front lines in Adjabiya".

Mr al-Hasidi insisted his fighters "are patriots and good Muslims, not terrorists," but added that the "members of al-Qaeda are also good Muslims and are fighting against the invader".
The president is coming before the American people and congress to explain himself on Monday night. I for one am interested to see adn hear just how he intends to justify American intervention in a civil war in Libya. I'd also like to hear him explain how and why his secretary of defense seems to be inspiring the same in Syria and other Arab nations.

In a little over two years, Barack Obama has literally allowed the middle east to be set ablaze and in the end, the entire region will be made into a unified militant base of operations for continued strikes and terrorism against America.

Someone mentioned fundamental change? Well this is only part of it. The impact and aftermath that will be felt in America for generations is incalculable.

“a pretty big government” with “a lot of moving parts.”

In the shadow of the ATF program to fast track illegal weapons into Mexico, (for supposed subsequent tracking,) America and the ATF have been made to look not only incompetent, but also complicit it the furthering of criminal activity in Mexico.

When queried concerning the US government operation, president Obama basically claimed ignorance of the White House and the Justice Department.

Obama says he didn’t inform Mexico of U.S. gun smuggling operation because he didn’t know about it

Under fire for an operation that allowed smuggling of U.S. weapons across the nation’s border with Mexico, President Obama said in an interview that neither he nor Attorney General Eric Holder authorized the controversial “Operation Fast and Furious.”
The Mexican government has complained that it didn’t know about the U.S. operation that allowed guns to illegally cross the southwestern border so they could track the weapons.

Obama Polaroid 225.jpg
AP photo
Obama told Univision‘s Jorge Ramos that President Felipe Calderon wasn’t informed of the operation because he — the president of the United States — wasn’t informed either. When asked whether he knew of the weapon smuggling plan, Obama responded that it is “a pretty big government” with “a lot of moving parts.”

The investigation into the program comes after it was connected to two weapons that were found at the scene of a border shootout that killed U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in December. Likewise, a gun smuggled from the U.S. were used to kill Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agent Jamie Zapata, but it has not been determined if it was part of “Fast and Furious.”

When President Calderon came to visit Washington recently, the two presidents came together on a policy to stop drug and weapon smuggling across the border.
“Our policy is to ram up the interdiction of guns flowing south because that’s contributing to some of the security problems that are taking place in Mexico and what we’re doing is trying to build the kind of cooperation between Mexico and the United States that we haven’t seen before,” Obama told Univision.

The president said his attorney general has been “very clear that our policy is to catch gunrunners and but them into jail.”
If memory serves, there once was quite a debacle involving illegal weapons going to a group called the Sandinistas in Latin America. Something called the "Iran Contra affair?"

I wonder how the champions of investigative reporting will look upon our own contemporary scandal of a similar magnitude. Involving our beloved democrat and first ever elected black president.

I am curious. Is the crime and culpability lesser or greater, when the American government provides weapons directly to criminals as opposed to freedom fighters or those involved directly in insurgent revolutionary operations?

I suppose we can glean some ideas from the current goings on in Libya also. Seeing as America is supporting the present people's revolution against Momar Gadaffi and seeing as how US military power is being used to support the revolutionary goals of those in opposition to Gadaffi.

And meanwhile, Gadaffi is dumping small arms and infantry weapons systems by the tons into the general Libyan population of supposed supporters for his regime. Which means? Shortly these weapons will be turning up in the hands of Al Qaeda forces in Libya and being used against American and western forces.

I wonder if the president or the Justice Department or the ATF have a plan to track those weapons also.

Where are the exits?

When your only strategic concern in a military intervention to address a totalitarian regime bent on genocide? Is to get the hell out before you even get there? To abdicate all leadership responsibility and refuse toe even acknowledge that there is a problem?  What the hell kind of strategy is that?

I guess America is truly seeing (now) what they bartered for when they bought into the hope and change hustler who now resides in the White House.

Reading the headlines today is like watching the total collapse of American leadership on the world stage of the last sixty years.

Just some of the headlines blaring across the UK today, as it concerns America's lack of leadership in the Libyan crisis.

  • Tensions with Britain as Gates rebukes UK government over suggestion Gaddafi could be assassinated

  • French propose a new political 'committee' to oversee operations

  • Germany pulls equipment out of NATO coalition over disagreement over campaign's direction

  • Italians accuse French of backing NATO in exchange for oil contracts

  • No-fly zone called into question after first wave of strikes 'neutralises' Libyan military machine

  • U.K. ministers say war could last '30 years'

  • Italy to 'take back control' of bases used by allies unless NATO leadership put in charge of the mission

  • Russians tell U.S. to stop bombing in order to protect civilians - calls bombing a 'crusade'

  • And the president's response was this.....

President Barack Obama Wednesday categorically ruled out a land invasion to oust Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi as coalition forces launched a fifth day of air strikes against government military targets in the North African nation.

And Obama said the U.S. this week will be pulling back from its dominant role in the international campaign aimed at preventing Gadhafi from attacking civilians
So I'm thinking? They already know that the US has ruled out most every option concerning Libya, aside from a few hundred million for Tomahawk strikes. And beyond that? The Europeans and the rest of the world are figuring out pretty quick that it is time to de-ass the equation. Their collective version seems to be... If the Americans aren't ass deep in all aspects of the Libyan UN intervention? Then it is time for us to to leave.  And they are leaving, like rats abandoning a ship. The Europeans are worried and they are showing their true stripes IMO.

Germany has announced  they are pulling out of the UN coalition formed to deal with Gadaffi, the French are running scared and talking about forming committees and the Italians are about to boot American NATO bases out of Italy period. Therefore, the trilateral foundation of the UN agreement to intervene in Libya, just had the legs cut out from under it, with the departure of Germany.

America has lost control of its stature and leadership roll in the world and we have lost all credibility on the world stage. Obama has absolutely no idea how to manage international diplomacy with other nations in the absence of canned speeches and his general apoplexy  as it concerns any decisive position on any international issue.

The world has spent the last sixty five odd years since the end of WWII, looking to America for answers when they were threatened. And suddenly? We don't have any answers.

Barack Obama is literally wrecking this country fundamentally, just as he promised. And the band plays on....

    Courting Disaster

I received this in an email today. I believe that it needs the widest possible dissemination.

As President George W. Bush's top speechwriter, Marc Thiessen was provided unique access to the CIA program used in interrogating top Al Qaeda terrorists, including the mastermind of the 9/11 attack, Khalid Sheikh Mohammad (KSM).

Now, his riveting new book, "Courting Disaster", How the CIA Kept America Safe (Regnery), has been published.

Here is an excerpt from "Courting Disaster":

Just before dawn on March 1, 2003, two dozen heavily armed Pakistani tactical assault forces move in and surround a safe house in Rawalpindi . A few hours earlier they had received a text message from an informant inside the house. It read: "I am with KSM."

Bursting in, they find the disheveled mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, in his bedroom. He is taken into custody. In the safe house, they find a treasure trove of computers, documents, cell phones and other valuable "pocket litter."

Once in custody, KSM is defiant. He refuses to answer questions, informing his captors that he will tell them everything when he gets to America and sees his lawyer. But KSM is not taken to America to see a lawyer Instead he is taken to a secret CIA "black site" in an undisclosed location.

Upon arrival, KSM finds himself in the complete control of Americans. He does not know where he is, how long he will be there, or what his fate will be.

Despite his circumstances, KSM still refuses to talk. He spews contempt at his interrogators, telling them Americans are weak, lack resilience, and are unable to do what is necessary to prevent the terrorists from succeeding in their goals. He has trained to resist interrogation. When he is asked for information about future attacks, he tells his questioners scornfully: "Soon, you will know."

It becomes clear he will not reveal the information using traditional interrogation techniques. So he undergoes a series of "enhanced interrogation techniques" approved for use only on the most high-value detainees. The techniques include waterboarding.

His resistance is described by one senior American official as "superhuman." Eventually, however, the techniques work, and KSM becomes cooperative-for reasons that will be described later in this book.

He begins telling his CIA de-briefers about active al Qaeda plots to launch attacks against the United States and other Western targets. He holds classes for CIA officials, using a chalkboard to draw a picture of al Qaeda's operating structure, financing, communications, and logistics. He identifies al Qaeda travel routes and safe havens, and helps intelligence officers make sense of documents and computer records seized in terrorist raids. He identifies voices in intercepted telephone calls, and helps officials understand the meaning of coded terrorist communications. He provides information that helps our intelligence community capture other high-ranking terrorists, KSM's questioning, and that of other captured terrorists, produces more than 6,000 intelligence reports, which are shared across the intelligence community, as well as with our allies across the world.

In one of these reports, KSM describes in detail the revisions he made to his failed 1994-1995 plan known as the "Bojinka plot" to blow up a dozen airplanes carrying some 4,000 passengers over the Pacific Ocean.

Years later, an observant CIA officer notices the activities of a cell being followed by British authorities appear to match KSM's description of his plans for a Bojinka-style attack.

In an operation that involves unprecedented intelligence cooperation between our countries, British officials proceed to unravel the plot.
On the night of Aug.9, 2006 they launch a series of raids in a northeast London suburb that lead to the arrest of two dozen al Qaeda terrorist suspects. They find a USB thumb-drive in the pocket of one of the men with security details for Heathrow airport, and information on seven trans-Atlantic flights that were scheduled to take off within hours of each other:

    * United Airlines Flight 931 to San Francisco departing at 2:15 p.m.;

    * Air Canada Flight 849 to Toronto departing at 3:00 p.m.;

    * Air Canada Flight 865 to Montreal departing at 3:15 p.m.;

    * United Airlines Flight 959 to Chicago departing at 3:40 p.m.;

    * United Airlines Flight 925 to Washington departing at 4:20 p.m.;

    * American Airlines Flight 131 to New York departing at 4:35 p.m;

    * American Airlines Flight 91 to Chicago departing at 4:50 p.m.

They seize bomb-making equipment and hydrogen peroxide to make liquid explosives. And they find the chilling martyrdom videos the suicide
    bombers had prepared.

Today, if you asked an average person on the street what they know
about the 2006 airlines plot, most would not be able to tell you much.
Few Americans are aware of the fact al Qaeda had planned to mark
the fifth anniversary of 9/11 with an attack of similar scope and magnitude.

And still fewer realize the terrorists' true intentions in this plot were uncovered thanks to critical information obtained through the interrogation of the man who conceived it: Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

This is only one of the many attacks stopped with the help of the CIA interrogation program established by the Bush Administration in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Editor's Note: For other foiled terrorist plots, see page 9 of "Courting
    Disaster."

In addition to helping break up these specific terrorist cells and plots, CIA questioning provided our intelligence community with an unparalleled body of information about al Qaeda Until the program was temporarily suspended in 2006, intelligence officials say, well over half of the information our government had about al Qaeda-how it operates, how it moves money, how it communicates, how it recruits operatives, how it picks targets, how it plans and carries out attacks-came from the interrogation of terrorists in CIA custody.

Former CIA Director George Tenet has declared: "I know this program has saved lives. I know we've disrupted plots. I know this program alone is worth more than what the FBI, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the National Security Agency put together have been able to tell us."

Former CIA Director Mike Hayden has said: "The facts of the case are that the use of these techniques against these terrorists made us safer. It really did work."

Even Barack Obama's Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair, has acknowledged: "High-value information came from interrogations in which those methods were used and provided a deeper understanding of the al Qaeda organization that was attacking this country."

Leon Panetta, Obama's CIA Director, has said: "Important information
was gathered from these detainees. It provided information that was
    acted upon."

And John Brennan, Obama's Homeland Security Advisor, when asked in an interview if enhanced-interrogation techniques were necessary to keep America safe, replied : "Would the U.S. be handicapped if the CIA was not, in fact, able to carry out these types of detention and debriefing activities? I would say yes."

On Jan. 22, 2009, President Obama issued Executive Order 13491, closing the CIA program and directing that, henceforth, all interrogations by U.S personnel must follow the techniques contained in the Army Field Manual.

The morning of the announcement, Mike Hayden was still in his post as CIA Director, He called White House Counsel Greg Craig and told him bluntly: "You didn't ask, but this is the CIA officially nonconcurring". The president went ahead anyway, over ruling the objections of the agency.

A few months later, on April 16, 2009, President Obama ordered the release of four Justice Department memos that described in detail the techniques used to interrogate KSM and other high-value terrorists. This time, not just Hayden (who was now retired) but five CIA directors -including Obama's own director, Leon Panetta -- objected. George Tenet called to urge against the memos' release. So did Porter Goss. So did John Deutch. Hayden says: "You had CIA directors in a continuous unbroken stream to 1995 calling saying, 'Don't do this.'"

In addition to objections from the men who led the agency for a collective 14 years, the President also heard objections from the agency's covert field operatives. A few weeks earlier, Panetta had arranged for the eight top officials of the Clandestine Service to meet with the President. It was highly unusual for these clandestine officers to visit the Oval Office, and they used the opportunity to warn the President that releasing the memos would put agency operatives at risk. The President reportedly listened respectfully-and then ignored their advice.

With these actions, Barack Obama arguably did more damage to America's national security in his first 100 days of office than any President in American history.

"Be careful brother. Who the hell do you think you are?"

America's number one radical Muslim speaks out.

And he has some interesting advice for the president. As he has an interesting perspective and observation on Gaddafi.

The real rant begins at about the five minute mark, but the entire nine minute tirade is worth hearing. America's number one militant Muslim and Jew hater is once again given access to the airways to spew his bile. Only this time, he is lecturing the president and his several million Nation of Islam followers.

    Two interesting quotes

    MARCH 19, 2011
OBAMA: 'Today we are part of a broad coalition. We are answering the calls of a threatened people. And we are acting in the interests of the United States and the world'...

    ~Barack Obama~

    MARCH 19, 2003
BUSH: 'American and coalition forces are in the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger...

    ~George W. Bush~

    Operation Odyssey Dawn

Operation Odyssey Dawn. That would be a good name for this administration in my opinion. Seeing as how it has been an odyssey from day one with this president.

As it is, that is the name of the limited military operation that we began today with the UN in Libya. Earlier headlines this morning revealed that French war planes had begun patrolling the no fly zone over Libya. But I suppose that didn't begin until at least after the US softened up the air defenses and radars with cruise missiles prior to the arrival of French Mirages in the area.

Cruise Missiles Hit Targets in Libya

"I want the American people to know that the use of force is not our first choice and it's not a choice I make lightly," Obama said. "But we cannot stand idly by when a tyrant tells his people that there will be no mercy."

The first air strikes, in what is being called Operation Odyssey Dawn, were launched from a mix of U.S. surface ships and one British submarine in the Mediterranean Sea at 2 p.m. ET, Vice Adm. William E. Gortney told reporters at a Pentagon briefing.

They targeted Libyan air defense missile sites, early warning radar and key communications facilities around Tripoli, Misratah, and Surt, but no areas east of that or near Benghazi. Because of darkness over Libya, Gortney said it was too early to determine the strikes' effectiveness.
Now, let's just sit and watch how far this president is willing to go to intervene in Libya. Meanwhile, watch the price of oil come Monday.

One of the last Code Talkers dies

One of the last. There is only one left now. They are all dying in front of our eyes.

Lloyd Oliver wasn't much of a talker, but it was clear that he was proud to have his native language serve as a key weapon during World War II. As part of an elite group of Marines, he helped develop and implement a code based on the Navajo language that helped win the war.

Years later, his hearing remained impaired because of gun blasts and other explosives during the war. He rarely brought up his time as a Code Talker, but his eyes gleamed when holding a picture of himself in his uniform. He kept a Marine cap and a U.S. flag displayed on his bedroom walls in the home he shared with his wife on the Yavapai Apache Reservation.

Oliver's death Wednesday means that only one of the original 29 Navajo Code Talkers survives -- Chester Nez of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Oliver died at a hospice center in a Phoenix suburb where he had been staying for about three weeks, his nephew, Lawrence, said Friday.

Military records put his age as 87 although Oliver's wife said he was 88 when he died. that we are losing our Navajo Code Talkers, and especially one of the original 29 whose stories would be tremendously valuable," said Yvonne Murphy, secretary of the Navajo Code Talkers Foundation.

Hundreds of Navajos followed in the original code talkers' footsteps, sending thousands of messages without error on Japanese troop movements, battlefield tactics and other communications critical to the war's ultimate outcome.

The Code Talkers took part in every assault the Marines conducted in the Pacific.
Navajo President Ben Shelly called Oliver a "national treasure" and ordered flags lowered across the reservation in his honor.

Some animals are more equal than others

According to George Orwell's assertion in Animal Farm, 'All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.' And in the midst of the Obama administration, we can see that principle in practice at the justice department.

In the midst of the numerous headline grabbing stories surrounding the middle east and Japan, there are other realities that are continuing to move beneath the radar of public awareness. These stories are not getting wide spread dissemination or front page coverage by the media, but the issues involved are serious and should be of significant interest and concern of all Americans.

Case in point, the Obama administration's position on one of the president's and the first lady's recently publicized issues of interest, Bullying.

    White and straight? Tough luck.

The viral video sensation showing a bullying incident at an Australian school has brought the issue of bullying back into the spotlight. Here in the United States, the Obama administration has made school bullying a federal issue. Last week, President Barack Obama addressed an anti-bullying conference with First Lady Michelle Obama at his side. The administration's anti-bullying campaign has been ongoing since the beginning of Mr. Obama's term. The Department of Justice announced in December 2010 its intention to hold liable school districts that fail to protect students that are bullied.

    DOJ’s website states:
An interesting choice of words IMO. "nonconformity with gender stereotypes." I never realized that being normal or a member of the majority was harmful or stereotypical.
The Civil Rights Division and the entire Justice Department are committed to ending bullying and harassment in schools, and the video highlights the Department’s authority to enforce federal laws that protect students from discrimination and harassment at school because of their race, national origin, disability, religion, and sex, including harassment based on nonconformity with gender stereotypes.
There is the same verbiage is again. Apparently, the Obama Justice Department under Eric Holder has a significant concern with gender stereotypes as it concerns USDOJ enforcement protocols. To the point where the focus and the emphasis of prosecutions seems to reflect an obsession with emphasis of concern and an abandonment of concern involving kids targeted for bullying, who happen to be part of that conformity of gender stereotypes clarification.

    The statement later says:

The enforcement of the Equal Protection Clause, Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 in school districts is a top priority of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. Additional information is available at the Civil Rights Division’s Educational Opportunities Section website at www.justice.gov/crt/edo/.

Here is the catch. DOJ will only investigate bullying cases if the victim is considered protected under the 1964 Civil Rights legislation. In essence, only discrimination of the victim’s race, sex, national origin, disability, or religion will be considered by DOJ. The overweight straight white male who is verbally and/or physically harassed because of his size can consider himself invisible to the Justice Department.

Apparently, the Justice Department is going by George Orwell’s famous Animal Farm ending: “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.”
By all means, follow the link and read the entire report. The brazen assertions of intent by the justice department are mind boggling and chilling to say the least.

Since the 2008 presidential campaign, there have been many who have rightly challenged the Obama administration's justice department on issues involving equal protection under the civil rights act.

Most notably involving the Black Panthers in Philadelphia on November 4, 2008.

Media reports of both the incident and the aftermath are replete with examples of how Eric Holder's justice department turned its back on both the law and the constitution, in order to allow special dispensations of law for certain classes and races.

In particular the case involving the Black Panthers in Philadelphia.
The favoritism and yes, the out right racism involved was then and continues to remain undeniable. Apparently such is the case with this justice department, as they are unabashed by their actions and obviously emboldened by them.

The bottom line, once again the Obama administration has set out to isolate a given segment of society and then to single them out for special treatment and separate consideration under the law. Perhaps the president should have a look at what his justice department is doing and who the victims of Holder's state sponsored discrimination really are.

If he did, he might discover the discriminatory weight being given to the prosecution of those who have transgressed the supposed justice department standard of non conformity to sexual stereotypical gender traits, would have left him as a boy, out in the cold.

Those who may have read Obama's books, would have certainly come across the story of the pre-adolescent Barry Soetoro. The chubby black kid with big ears, living in Indonesia and bullied by his class mates. I don't believe there was anything gender specific or sexual oriented involved in the bullying of Barry. Just a stereotypical fat kid who was singled out for special treatment by his peers.

Obama never forgot that alter ego of his, as he wrote about it decades later in Dreams of My Father. And the experience has apparently served as the model for his present almost anorexic appearance that he maintains to this day.

But you have to wonder, does the left hand really know what the right hand is doing in this administration? Is Obama aware that his old classmate Holder has established guidelines and standards that would have discriminated against little Barry back in the day.

The president must certainly be aware of these discrepancies, as he has consistently stood by Holder and his decisions since assuming control over the justice department. Therefore, I have to believe that Obama's Fabian socialism and his intrinsic personal hatred for all things directly and indirectly tied to his perceptions of colonialism are fair game for the policy makers he has surrounded himself with in this administration.

What happened to Barry Soetoro is past tense and the being that replaced him became the fast talking hipster from Chicago, who swayed a nation.

Barack Obama isn't interested in or concerned with inequities at the justice department or individual cases where non favored races or classes are discriminated against. After all, it is Obama who hand picked his man and literally gave him 'carte blanche' to run the USDOJ as he chooses too.

And besides, if the president of the United States is too removed from the current state of affairs in the middle east and the present crisis' of Japan's nuclear crisis and the ongoing economic misery of America's stagnant economy, how can we expect him to care about something as basal as racial and sexual orientation discrimination investigations ongoing or not going on at the department of justice.

After all, the president put Holder there and he has apparently given him his blessing to do as he pleases. So much for the continuing cries from the black segments of America lamenting their concerns about racial discrimination.  There guy is in the White House now and he has in essence either told the Attorney General to tip the balance in favor of preferred races and classes, or he knows that it is happening and he chooses to ignore it.

After reading the recent appraisals of equality and their qualifications under the Eric Holder justice department, I can't help but believe that the future Barry Soetoro's of  America are safe and protected. It's the future Michael Moore's and Al Gore's who have something to worry about. They had better be glad that they manage to beat the curve of social change that would have relegated their chubby white asses to the ash heap of second class citizens.

    And so it goes..........

Are Americans being lied to about radiation threats?

Seems like a fair question to me. And as is pointed out in the piece below, it wouldn't be the first time that Americans Have been lied to concerning public health concerns and radiation.

    Reports Of “Harmless” Radiation

We will not know the true level of the threat until the radiation particles emitted as a result of the three explosions that devastated Fukushima hits the west coast over the weekend and into Monday. The fact that authorities have completely failed to point this out suggests they are actively trying to whitewash the threat that the fallout poses to Americans.

For the sake of people in America and around the globe, we hope that levels of radiation have dissipated over the Pacific and that future generations are not made to suffer. But for officials to hastily dismiss the threat before the vast majority of the radiation has even reached the west coast, and while Fukushima is still smoking, in a stage of partial melt down, and emitting more radiation every second, is completely irresponsible and suggests a cover-up.

We heard a similar theme during Obama’s speech yesterday when he all but insulted Americans for preparing themselves for fallout by purchasing potassium iodide pills.

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and public health experts do not recommend people in the U.S. take precautionary measures beyond staying informed,” said Obama, which is precisely what those affected by both Chernobyl and the 3 Mile Island accident were told, trust your government, a mistake that led to nearly a million deaths in the case of Chernobyl and a dramatic rise in cancers in the case of 3 Mile Island.

It was also what ground zero workers heard in the days after 9/11, that the air was “safe to breathe,” a contrived cover-up on behalf of the EPA and the White House that led to thousands of crippling illnesses and deaths of firefighters, police and first responders.

History tells us that government have habitually lied about radiation, air quality and the true scope of health threats to the American people. Only through the use of private monitoring stations will we be able to confidently gauge the true levels of radiation hitting the west coast, and we won’t know the full extent of the danger Americans face until Monday at the earliest.

    One helluva shot

    White House ad-libbing

So......what do you do when you are out of your depth and obviously clueless? You ad-lib. Which is precisely what White House press secretary Carney did when pressed for information concerning the ongoing nuclear crisis in Japan.

JAKE TAPPER, ABC NEWS: "What is going on over there right now? We have not heard the latest information from the NRC or the Japanese government and apparently there has been something that has happened in the last few hours."

CARNEY, WH Press Secretary: "Well, it is clearly a crisis. There is clearly --"

TAPPER: "-- what is specifically going on?"

CARNEY: "Again, I am standing here at the White House, I think you have reporters in Japan, you have reporters including ones here that could get the technical detailed information on what we know from the NRC, from the Department of Energy --"

"It's up to the media, not the government?" Tapper asked in response to Carney dismissing his question.

"No, no I just referred to government agencies that can provide technical information..." Carney responded.

And don't forget, this guy is only one example of how ill qualified many in this administration really are. The cracks in the facade are widening by the day. From Leon Panetta at CIA, to national security adviser James Clapper, to Janet Napolitano at Homeland Security, to the surgeon general Regina Benjamin, this administration is like a really bad episode of M.A.S.H.

I believe the only two people in the administration with a clue are Robert Gates at defense and Hillary Clinton at state. The rest of them are literally glaringly incompetent IMO.

I have to say it, but Jay Carney looks like he is in the land of the lost every time that he opens his mouth. I certainly don't miss Robert Gibbs? But damn! This guy Carney makes Gibbs look like a Rhodes scholar.

And aside from that? Carney still reminds me of Harry Potter......

    U.S. Officials Alarmed By Japanese

We need to be alarmed. We need to be scared. Aside from the obvious reality of the potential radiation that is spewing from these reactors, the reactors on Wall Street are in their own melt down

U.S. officials are alarmed at how the Japanese are handling the escalating nuclear reactor crisis and fear that if they do not get control of the plants within the next 24 to 48 hours they could have a situation that will be "deadly for decades."

"It would be hard to describe how alarming this is right now," one U.S. official told ABC News.

President Obama has been briefed by nuclear experts.

The Japanese have evacuated most of the reactor personnel from the Fukushima nuclear complex and are rotating teams of 50 workers through the facility in an attempt to cool it down.

In two days time, between the 15th and 16th, the DOW dropped over 400 points. As it stands, we have gone negative for the year now on the DOW index.

How long can this go on. Last year it was the oil rig in the gulf. This looks to be ten times that bad and worse from what I am seeing right now.

Congress, the gift that keeps on giving

This type of idiocy can only go on in Washington.

U.S. Debt Jumped $72 Billion Same Day U.S. House Voted to Cut Spending $6 Billion
The national debt jumped by $72 billion on Tuesday even as the Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives passed a continuing resolution to fund the government for just three weeks that will cut $6 billion from government spending.

If Congress were to cut $6 billion every three weeks for the next 36 weeks, it would manage to save between now and late November as much money as the Treasury added to the nation’s net debt during just the business hours of Tuesday, March 15

Bottom line, not a damn thing is going to be saved in this country until the entire thing collapses and there is nothing left.

The knees are shaking and jerking

As expected, the knee jerking has begun as a result of the nuclear crisis in Japan.

Germany Shuts 7 Nuclear Plants as Europe Plans Safety Tests

Germany on Tuesday became the first European country to shut nuclear plants in the wake of the crisis in Japan as the European Union made plans to test all 143 nuclear power plants in its 27 countries.

Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany said seven plants that went online before 1980 would be temporarily closed and the time would be used to study speedier adoption of renewable energy. All of the plants were built by German contractors.
While Mrs. Merkel asserted that safety was her main concern, opposition politicians accused her of pandering to fear about nuclear power ahead of a regional election this month. She has, in effect, suspended a decision last autumn to keep older plants operating beyond their previously designated life span.

The tests across the European Union are intended to ensure preparedness for emergencies like floods and tsunamis, as well as terrorist attacks, the European energy commissioner, Günther Oettinger, said after meeting with representatives of the nuclear industry, electricity companies and governments.

“This is a reassessment, if you like, of all potential risks in the wake of what has happened in Japan,” Mr. Oettinger said.
As Paul Harvey would say...."Stand by for news!"

I fully expect the America will follow suit no later than the end of this week. So look for a crisis in domestic energy production to be the next big economic egg to drop into our already overladen basket of economic problems.

    Stupid is

One more example of what stupid really looks like.

    In the absence of multiculturalism

Ed West writing for the UK Telegraph, presents a rather curious conundrum as it concerns the aftermath of Japan's earthquake and Tsunami.

    "Why no looting?"

    By Ed West

The landscape of parts of Japan looks like the aftermath of World War Two; no industrialised country since then has suffered such a death toll. The one tiny, tiny consolation is the extent to which it shows how humanity can rally round in times of adversity, with heroic British rescue teams joining colleagues from the US and elsewhere to fly out.
And solidarity seems especially strong in Japan itself. Perhaps even more impressive than Japan’s technological power is its social strength, with supermarkets cutting prices and vending machine owners giving out free drinks as people work together to survive. Most noticeably of all, there has been no looting, and I’m not the only one curious about this.
This is quite unusual among human cultures, and it’s unlikely it would be the case in Britain. During the 2007 floods in the West Country abandoned cars were broken into and free packs of bottled water were stolen. There was looting in Chile after the earthquake last year – so much so that troops were sent in; in New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina saw looting on a shocking scale.
Why do some cultures react to disaster by reverting to everyone for himself, but others – especially the Japanese – display altruism even in adversity?
It's really a very simple reality once you think about it. Japan is one of the least culturally diverse nations on the planet. Therefore, their culture and traditions are readily adhered to in the absence of outside influences.

And Mr. West rightly asks the question and is curious what the difference between the cultures is. However, he stops short of arriving at the obvious answer.

Obama's Op/Ed on guns and common sense

What next? His op/ed on bibles and religion?
Writing in the Arizona Daily Star more than two months after the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and 18 others, six of whom died, Obama said he's "willing to bet" that responsible gun owners would support laws to "keep an irresponsible, law-breaking few -- dangerous criminals and fugitives, for example -- from getting their hands on" guns.
"Most gun owners know that the word 'commonsense' isn't a code word for 'confiscation," he wrote.
"I'm willing to bet they don't think that using a gun and using common sense are incompatible ideas -- that we should check someone's criminal record before he can check out at a gun seller; that an unbalanced man shouldn't be able to buy a gun so easily; that there's room for us to have reasonable laws that uphold liberty, ensure citizen safety and are fully compatible with a robust Second Amendment," the president wrote.
Predictably, on the heels of every major shooting incident in this country over the last forty years, there have been calls by the anti gun lobby and their favored liberal politicians for more gun controls. Our lack of gun control is what is leading to these senseless shootings if we are to believe those who oppose gun ownership on all levels in America.

Yet is is somewhat out of the ordinary for the president of the Untied States to be writing op/ed' s on any topic, much less on gun control.

The choice of words and phrasing by Obama are less than original in my opinion, and the same dog eared argument is used once again. If we could only "take the guns out of the hands of criminals, these senseless shootings (like recently in Tucson) would stop.

Here is a clue mr. president.....The low life who shot the congresswoman and killed six people and wounded twelve more? Well he wasn't a criminal before he bought the gun and went on his shooting spree. Therefore, all the gun laws in the land wouldn't have stopped Jared Loughner from committing his crimes.

"A man our Army rejected as unfit for service; a man one of our colleges deemed too unstable for studies; a man apparently bent on violence, was able to walk into a store and buy a gun,"
So riddle me this mr. president. If Jared Loughner was such a threat to society prior to his rampage? How come the police in his own home town never followed through or tagged him as a potential mentally disturbed person prone to violence.

It's relatively apparent what happened with Jared Loughner. His mother was a connected county employee, therefore, even the low level crimes that Loughner may have been involved in, were never followed up on and no one ever identified Jared Loughner as a certifiable nut case, because they were apparently afraid of offending his mother or not being able to justify their reasonable fears of him.

On the one hand, there is one point that the president has made that is absolutely correct. The abject lack of common sense in this country is what is propelling the majority of the violence in this country. Yet it isn't the lack of common sense on the part of the criminals where the failure lies.

It is with those we charge with protecting us. Those who allow criminality and idiocy in the name of egalitarian fairness and the fear of offending those who should be offended. There in lies the real crime.

Things are getting Hot in Japan

Since last Friday's earthquake off the east coast of Japan, the Japanese have lost control of six of their nuclear reactors due to cooling failures in the containment vessels.

    Six reactors now overheating.
Tokyo Electric Power Co. said Sunday another reactor of its quake-hit Fukushima nuclear power plants had lost its cooling functions, while at least 15 people at a nearby hospital were found to have been exposed to radioactivity.

The utility supplier notified the government early Sunday morning that the No. 3 reactor at the No. 1 Fukushima plant had lost the ability to cool the reactor core. The reactor is now in the process of releasing radioactive steam, according to top government spokesman Yukio Edano.

It was the sixth reactor overall at the Fukushima No. 1 and No. 2 plants to undergo cooling failure since the massive earthquake and ensuing tsunami struck Japan on Friday.
For those who remember the "China Syndrome," this is not good news. Not good news at all. This is precisely what almost happened at Three Mile Island in America and what did happen to the Russians at Chernobyl.

The difference now, the Japanese have six reactors in jeopardy of reaching critical mass not just one. That cannot be good on any level.  Te Japanese government has already evacuated tens of thousands.

The amazing thing to me? Is that the Japanese could have suffered even one catastrophic failure, much less six. The Japanese are the most technologically advanced society on the planet, with the best earthquake building codes and the highest safety codes in existence. Not to mention an innate fear of all things nuclear, which led to the most strict nuclear power plant construction codes in existence.

Obviously the Japanese are more than aware of their geographic situation as it concerns the tectonic plates of the Pacific 'ring of fire.' And being aware of the potential for major earthquakes, they have built in the most hardened and redundant systems that could have ever been conceived. Yet their systems are failing them in the region where this quake struck last Friday. Yet none the less, six of their reactors have lost cooling.

The bottom line?  If one or more of these reactors goes into critical mass and melts down, aside from the catastrophic damage that will be done in the immediate vicinity, the fallout from the meltdown will drift east. That fallout will contaminate most of the Pacific ocean  and eventually reach Hawaii and mainland America, before crossing on over the Atlantic and into Europe.

And if the Japanese were to lose control of all six of these damaged reactors? The consequences are exponential and unimaginable. So as the news continues to unfold in the aftermath of this quake and these damaged reactors, watch for reactions here in America. Watch for calls to immediately shut down all nuclear reactors globally, but especially here in America.

And with the price of crude oil once again at record highs and in demand? How long before the reactionary pricing and speculation drives the price of gasoline absolutely through the roof.

What we may be seeing right now? Is the perfect storm of an energy crisis never ever dreamed of by most, yet longed for by the ecologists who have been attempting to relegate mankind back into the 19th century permanently for the past twenty five years.

That of course won't happen, but what could happen in the aftermath of such a catastrophe? Is the seizing of complete control of all energy sources, all energy production and all energy dispersal globally by governments. And he who controls all levels of energy? Absolutely controls the entire world.

Softly, softly catchy monkeys, you had better pay close attention now. Don't simply go running for the cliffs if the alarm sounds.

What a difference a week makes

It's ironic in a way. We began our facebook page seven days ago and since then, we have almost reached 1000 members. In less than a week. In my opinion, that demonstrates the care and concern that exists for seeing the right thing done by Frank Buckles. Perhaps if we'd of had more time.

As it stands, it appears that the battle has been lost on honoring Frank Buckles in the Capitol rotunda, but we can certainly find other ways to extend honor to him.

In respect for Frank's family, I am suspending commentaries on our facebook page, other than those of appreciation for Frank Buckles service and contributions to this country, until after his services on March 15th.

However, after that, my wife and I plan to move in a new direction and we intend to be part of the efforts joining with others seeking to see Frank's last wish realized. Stay tuned folks. The big gal hasn't even begun her last number yet! And it ain't over until we see to it that people in Washington do the right thing.

    Honor and Shame

There is an old English proverb that reads: "Better to die with honor, than to live with shame."

Frank Buckles, America's last Dough Boy died as he had lived, with honor.

Frank died at an age considered surreal by most, yet he lived a full life and if he had any regrets he never voiced them publicly. Frank died an honorable man because he had given honor to so many others while never seeking any personal honor for himself. And in so doing in the end, he received back that which can only be freely given by the American people. Their honor and respect.

Prior to his death, Frank was recognized by the people of his state, with letters of testimonial and after his passing, with resolutions in the US House of Representatives. Each of these accolades were seeking to bestow the honor of allowing Frank's body to lie in honor in our nation's Capitol rotunda after his passing.

A profound yet truly simple honor justly befitting the life of a man who spent the last years of his life trying to be the representative of a lost generation. Frank Buckles didn't seek out any honor or glory in his latter years, but when the mantel of responsibility fell to him, to be the voice of those who could no longer speak, Frank recognized the duty of being the last and gladly accepted the responsibility as their standard bearer.

Frank Buckles spent the last years of his life seeking to obtain recognition and tribute for the over four million others who served during the great war and to this day have never been recognized with a national monument in their honor. When told of the desires and requests of senators and others, both from his home state and across the nation, to bestow the honor of a Capitol rotunda viewing of his remains after death, Frank's only concern was that it be represented as a tribute not to him, but to his comrades in arms as their representative.

However, that honor would not be granted. For those who hold the power in Washington, voiced their objections quickly after Frank's passing. Speaker of the House John Boehner asserted almost immediately after Frank Buckles death, that Frank's contributions to posterity as the last of the last didn't warrant such an honor in Speaker Boehner's esteemed estimation.

Other arrangements for Frank Buckles final honors were requested by Speaker Boehner. Tentatively an alternative repose would be scheduled at Arlington National Cemetery at the request of Speaker Boehner and others to the Secretary of Defense. According to these esteemed representatives of the house and senate, their request of Secretary Gates would be a ceremony equally fitting of the recognition that they felt Mr. Buckles life warranted.

Some have tried to take Frank Buckles' honor and they tried to take it by withholding an honor that they know he and those he represented justly deserved. However, they succeeded on only one level. They succeeded in denying Frank Buckles that which he deserved, but they didn't succeed in diminishing or taking away his own personal honor.

Just as with respect, trust and admiration, honor is not something that can easily be taken or bartered away by those who have little conceptualization of their true meaning. These intangibles can only be given freely of others. Each title holds the unique ability to both bestow and evoke heart felt emotion on the person so chosen to be honored, yet each of these honors can just as easily be stripped from those who seek to deny them of others by their own selfish actions.

Speaker Boehner may have deprived Frank Buckles of his final and justly deserved honor, but he can never take away Frank Buckles personal honor as a man and as a fitting representative of all who served this nation so long ago. Nor can he take away or diminish the true heart felt thanks of those Americans who appreciate Frank Buckles' sacrifices and those of his generation.

Frank Buckles will be laid to rest on March 15th at Arlington National cemetery. An honor bestowed upon Frank by former President George W. Bush.
