The UAW's Odd Phase

GM, Chrysler Labor Talks Slow as Deadline Looms

Let me see if I have this all clear now. The UAW's talks with the American auto makers are not going all that well? The UAW is not prepared to make concessions? Well someone please tell me what has changed over the past three months?

The UAW had the opportunity to work with the auto makers (and always has had that ability). But NOoooooo! We are labor! We are the union! We will bury you! You will bend to our will! And if we bury ourselves in the process? Then so be it! We (the UAW) will teach these pitious paupers called Americans what is what and who is who!

So it looks like SSDD (same shit different day) to me. Absolutely nothing has changed with the influx of supposed bailout money and bridge loans. The big three remain at death's door and the UAW refuses to compromise or budge one inch on their contracts to save either the auto makers or their own members.

I say? It looks like there are going to be several million former labor union loyal and motivated auto workers out of work this year. (permanently) And their strike fund won't get them to Labor Day or buy them any new jobs for that matter.

And in the mean time? All the billions that we as a nation have already pumped into this corrupt union fiasco are lost. It's all gone and will solve and save absolutely nothing.

"Cry havoc! And let slip the dogs of war!"
