Forgotten Promises Forgotten Treaties

In 1994, President Bill Clinton, UK Prime Minister John Major, Russian Federation President Boris Yeltzin and President Leonid Kuchma of the Ukraine, signed a treaty agreement where the United States, the United Kingdom and Russia agreed to protect the borders of the new Ukraine.

They all agreed to the "The Budapest Memorandum" as part of the "denuclearization" of former Soviet republics after the dissolution of the Soviet Union,

In other words, these world leaders and their countries promised support, protection and intervention action, should anyone violate the sovereign borders of the Ukraine. More recently, President Barack Obama That was twenty years ago and the Ukriane's part of the agreement was to get rid of their nuclear arsenal and downsize their military. The Ukraine has gone from having nuclear strike capability and an army of over 900,000, to the present day where they have no nuclear capability and their army is less than 140,000

So....the bottom line today for the Ukrainian people is a promise of Barack Obama to stand with the world in condemnation of the Russian invasion. An invasion that he considers a concern and destabilizing.

And the British response?

Sir Tony Brenton, who served as British Ambassador from 2004 to 2008, said that war could be an option 'if we do conclude the [Budapest] Memorandum is legally binding.'
It promises to protect Ukraine's borders, in return for Ukraine giving up its nuclear weapons.
Kiev has demanded the agreement is activated after insisting their borders had been violated.

Who Has The Marbles and Who's Using Them

The Russians are in a much better position to hurt America economically, that we are to hurt them. The American media may be willing dupes to Obama's hollow threats against Russia, but make no mistake,   Vladimir Putin isn't naive and he is scared of Obama's threats of economic sanctions.

Vladimir Putin knows Obama is a paper tiger and he knows Obama as someone completely lacking the will or the capability to stand toe to toe with him in any stand off. What we are seeing play out in real time is the reality that was faced by America during the cold war between Khrushchev and Kennedy.

During the Cuban missile crisis,  Khrushchev blinked and backed down from what he was assured was not simply American bravado and threats.  Make no mistake, Putin will not blink and he has no intention in conceding any points of contention to Barack Obama.

There is a larger reality below the surface in this building conflict between Putin and Obama and that reality is that Vladimir Putin sees the crisis in Ukraine, as a means to not only re-establish the power and control of the former Soviet Union on the world stage, but he also see the crisis as a means for him to completely embarrass and humiliate Barack Obama and the United States.

Vladimir Putin is emerging to reveal the fact that America is no longer the super power on the world stage. Vladimir Putin is demonstrating to the world each day as the crisis deepens, that Barack Obama is incompetent and completely devoid of any ability to either confront Russia directly, or establish a global consensus of unity against Russia. Obama has overlooked the reality that much in the same way that China has become America's mortgage holder, Russia is the absolute power broker for Europe as it concerns the flow of oil.

Russia is a self sustaining nation that can weather and endure any sanctions threatened by America and when push comes to shove, Putin will collapse any American led alliance by simply turning off the oil spigots to Europe. And yes, Obama's proposed sanctions against Russia will lead to an economic collapse of America. Putin knows this and Obama had better figure it out, or else America will truly suffer the results of his ineptitude and incompetence.

This according to the Russian

Moscow (AFP) - Russia could reduce to zero its economic dependency on the United States if Washington agreed sanctions against Moscow over Ukraine, a Kremlin aide said on Tuesday, warning that the American financial system faced a "crash" if this happened.
"An attempt to announce sanctions would end in a crash for the financial system of the United States, which would cause the end of the domination of the United States in the global financial system," he added. He said that economic sanctions imposed by the European Union would be a "catastrophe" for Europe, saying that Russia could halt gas supplies "which would be beneficial for the Americans" and give the Russian economy a useful "impulse".

Sarah Palin Got It Right in 2008 And Continues To Get It Right

The more I look and the more I listen, the more I come to the realization that in 2008, the republican party had the ticket ass-backwards. Sarah Palin shouldn't have been on the ticket as the VP. Sarah Palin should have been on the ticket as the president. The woman speaks the truth and she speaks it in a way that the average American can clearly understand her position and her thought process on the issue. How many others, former, present or future politicians or journalists do you see calling Barack Obama out as the panty waste eunuch that he really is when it comes to the failure of his domestic and international policies and his failures as president and commander in chief.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a man known for wrestling bears while President Barack Obama is known for wearing mom jeans.
“People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil,” Palin said to Fox News’s Sean Hannity on Monday night. “They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans and equivocates and bloviates.”

So....You Don't Believe China Presents a Threat To America

On the heels of the news this morning that China has back the Russians in the Ukraine, come an interesting report concerning china that should have a lot of Americans concerned.  According to reports, the Chinese have now deployed Dongfeng-26C (DF-26C) missiles capable of threatening American military forces in Guam.

Some might be asking the intelligent question of why.  It is no more complicated than the relatively simply mathematics of geopolitical realities in our present day world. China is preparing to invade and take back Taiwan.  Call it annexation akin to what Vladimir Putin has just done in the Ukraine, or akin to what Hitler did to Austria in 1938, either way, the end result remains the same.

Hitler annexed Austria before he invaded Poland and ultimately France and no one in the League of Nations or Europe so much as coughed.  Neville Chamberlain continued to assure the British people and the European people that he had Hitler's word of nonaggression.  Well....we saw how that worked out didn't we.

Fast forward seventy five years and what is occurring in real time with the Russians in the Ukraine and what is soon to be occurring with the Chinese in the immediate future concerning Taiwan and other Asian nations is simply history repeating itself.  Our forefathers warned us. We were told to remain vigilant and not to succumb to the intoxicating effects of socialism.

Well....welcome to the world of today. I'll bet that when most Americans woke up this morning, they never realized that they were entering the first chapters of the decline of America and the risen superiority of our adversary enemies in Russia and China.

Stay tuned folks and watch what happens as the interloping Fabian socialist who occupies this nation's highest office is belittled and relegated to the the position of a helpless bystander. Watch as America is ridiculed and our demised is celebrated globally. Watch as America ceases to be relevant concerning world events period.

Its happening, right now as we speak.

Russia and China One, America Zero

In the news this morning overnight, the crisis in the Ukraine deepens.  Last night the White House made the announcement that Secretary of State John Kerry would be flying to the Ukraine today to meet with members of the Ukraine government. Softly, softly catchy monkey? The Russians may not approve of your mingling and they might just decide to keep you on ice for a bit. I am told Siberia is lovely this time of year Mr. Secretary. By the way,  what is it precisely you intend to threaten the Russians with.  This is the big leagues winter soldier, Jane Fonda and Tom Hayden and the leftist in the US congress aren't recognized as threats by the Russians or the Chinese. So tread lightly or else you may actually earn a couple of medals this time around.

Meanwhile, the reports this morning are that the Chinese are backing the play of the Russians and supporting their actions in the Ukraine.  For those old enough to remember, the days of the Chinese and the Russians being at odds are over. As I and others have said for quite some tome, the Chinese and the Russians will unite as allies against their common enemy America and as we are now seeing, compliments of Barack Obama, that is now coming to pass.

Bill Clinton gave them the missile technology to zero in the telemetry of their nuclear ICBM's and over the past twenty five years they have attained a level of parity with America. In the last five years in particular, our government has stood by idly while both the Russians and the Chinese have built their military to the level where they can comfortably challenge the US military. And once their forces are combined, there is no doubt that they can defeat our military.

Say it isn't so?  Look at the reports and read between the lines folks.  We are a hair's breath away from having our future dictated from Moscow and Beijing and not a whisper in the US media of the threat on any level.  Softly, softly catchy monkey..........by the time the American people realize what is happening, it will all be over.

Within days of the close of the Olympics in Sochi, Vladimir Putin did what those like Sarah Palin predicted he would do six years ago.  He invaded the Ukraine and as the days pass, he will tighten his hold on the throat of the people and he will reinforce his power and control in the Ukraine and the  region.

What Vladimir Putin is doing, is what knowledgeable people have predicted would occur for the last ten years. Putin is re-assembling the states of the former Soviet Union.  Once collapsed and bankrupted by the actions of President Ronald Reagan, it is now almost thirty years since the Soviets conceded the defeat of communism to America. But communism didn't die. It simply went into a state of stasis until a new champion arose.  That champion is Vladimir Putin.

In the six years since Obama has been president. Putin has consistently looked upon America as a weakened nation. A nation being led by an administration of Fabian socialists, absent the knowledge of history or any competent understanding of the threats present in the world today.  Make no mistake, Vladimir Putin will not half step, he will not placate American social or political interests and he most certainly won't bow or concede to anything that Barrack Obama brings to the conversation. Vladimir Putin is a warrior, he is a man driven by the desire to see the Soviet empire re-established and America destroyed once and for all. The allies on his flank are our bankers the Chinese, who he will divvy up the spoils with once America is defeated.

I am certain that when Putin looks upon the ramblings of Barrack Obama and his hollow threats of condemnation toward Russia over the past week, he laughs.  Putin has no fear of America and he certainly has no reason to fear Barack Obama.

Beginning with the Clinton administration, we as a nation allowed ourselves to be systematically weakened militarily. The only respite since then has been the eight years of the Bush administration. Now, since Obama has been in office, he has systematically moved to weaken and destroy the American military and to convey that reality to our enemies.  From the purge of senior command generals in the American military, to the elimination  of entire defense systems, to the withdrawal of our troops from Iraq, to the present draw down of our forces to a weak reflection of the strength of the American military prior to WWII.

One look at Fallujah Iraq, a city fought for and conquered by the US Marines in the bloodiest battle of the war in Iraq, reflects that all that was fought for and gained by our war in Iraq has now been lost.  Thousands died and were permanently wounded and disfigured and for what? So that an interloping socialist who despises capitalism and the American military could step in and give it all back to our enemies?  You decide.

George W. Bush may have failed to do much of what was needed to be done to end that war and remove the desire of militant Islam to continue to attack America, but he never literally bowed to Muslim tyrants and he never conceded and bartered away that which had been acquired by American blood in response to the attacks of 9/11.

I read recently a quote attributed to Vladimir Putin that I believe reflects the present reality as it concerns our president's relationship with Vladimir Putin and the Russians. I perceive Barack Obama as arrogant, narcissistic and an intellectual light weight when it comes to understanding the world and the real threats to America. He is too busy admiring himself and setting himself aside from the responsibilities of the presidency, to be concerned with who and what the real threats are in the world today. I believe that Vladimir Putin sees Barack Obama similarity and Putin looks upon Obama as the quote attributed to Putin represents below.

"negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon. The pigeon knocks over all the pieces, craps on the board, then struts around like it won the game." There are those who attribute this quote to others, but I can see Putin recognizing the truth of the representation regardless of who first uttered it and i can see Putin readily using the quote as a metaphor of how he see his relationship with Obama.

Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, went to Russia in 2009 and famously provided a prop red button of "re-set" to the former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev.  And as if an omen of the relationship to come, it was learned that the translation provided to the Russian gift by a glib Hillary Clinton, was in fact the wrong word inscribed on the prop button.

The correct word on the button should have been  "perezagruzka," meaning "reset."
Not "peregruzka," meaning "overload."

The former is the word the Obama administration often invokes when describing what they would like to do regarding U.S.-Russian relations according to the reports in the aftermath of that SNAFU..

"I think that there has been a time over the last several years where Russian-U.S. relations were not as strong as they should be," President Obama told ITAR-TASS/ROSSIYA TV. "What I said coming in is that I wanted to press the reset button on relations between the United States and Russia."

I believe the re-set button has been pressed, but not by Obama and it is not the one provided by Obama.  Vladimir Putin pushed his own re-set button this week when Russia invaded the former Soviet state of the Ukraine. And the worst thing about it? There is not a damn thing that Obama can or will do about it.  Talk about overload? Obama's reaction to Putin's action was to leave Washington.  America's present leader is not simply a metaphoric parallel to the famous story of the Emperor's New Clothes. Our president's story is one of revealed lack of leadership. A lack of leadership of this president who is about to be revealed as a foreign policy eunuch.  The president of the United States didn't even attend his own National Security meeting this week with his cabinet concerning the Russian invasion of the Ukraine.  What does this say about his concern and his leadership capabilities as president and commander in chief. Remember the question of who do you want answering the 3 AM phone call of crisis in the White House that was proposed by many during the 2008 presidential campaign?  Well now we know.  Fist as Benghazi unfolded and now as the Russians have begun rebuilding the former Soviet Union.

Stay tuned as the events in the Ukraine and our relationship with the Russians is about to become very interesting. I am betting that much like the era when Neville Chamberlain equivocated after Nazi Germany's "annexation" of Austria in 1939, Barack Obama will be equally willing to ignore what Putin has done in the Ukraine this week.  Any bets on the resurrected Soviet Union's next "Annexation?" Or on Obama's response?
