Who Has The Marbles and Who's Using Them

The Russians are in a much better position to hurt America economically, that we are to hurt them. The American media may be willing dupes to Obama's hollow threats against Russia, but make no mistake,   Vladimir Putin isn't naive and he is scared of Obama's threats of economic sanctions.

Vladimir Putin knows Obama is a paper tiger and he knows Obama as someone completely lacking the will or the capability to stand toe to toe with him in any stand off. What we are seeing play out in real time is the reality that was faced by America during the cold war between Khrushchev and Kennedy.

During the Cuban missile crisis,  Khrushchev blinked and backed down from what he was assured was not simply American bravado and threats.  Make no mistake, Putin will not blink and he has no intention in conceding any points of contention to Barack Obama.

There is a larger reality below the surface in this building conflict between Putin and Obama and that reality is that Vladimir Putin sees the crisis in Ukraine, as a means to not only re-establish the power and control of the former Soviet Union on the world stage, but he also see the crisis as a means for him to completely embarrass and humiliate Barack Obama and the United States.

Vladimir Putin is emerging to reveal the fact that America is no longer the super power on the world stage. Vladimir Putin is demonstrating to the world each day as the crisis deepens, that Barack Obama is incompetent and completely devoid of any ability to either confront Russia directly, or establish a global consensus of unity against Russia. Obama has overlooked the reality that much in the same way that China has become America's mortgage holder, Russia is the absolute power broker for Europe as it concerns the flow of oil.

Russia is a self sustaining nation that can weather and endure any sanctions threatened by America and when push comes to shove, Putin will collapse any American led alliance by simply turning off the oil spigots to Europe. And yes, Obama's proposed sanctions against Russia will lead to an economic collapse of America. Putin knows this and Obama had better figure it out, or else America will truly suffer the results of his ineptitude and incompetence.

This according to the Russian

Moscow (AFP) - Russia could reduce to zero its economic dependency on the United States if Washington agreed sanctions against Moscow over Ukraine, a Kremlin aide said on Tuesday, warning that the American financial system faced a "crash" if this happened.
"An attempt to announce sanctions would end in a crash for the financial system of the United States, which would cause the end of the domination of the United States in the global financial system," he added. He said that economic sanctions imposed by the European Union would be a "catastrophe" for Europe, saying that Russia could halt gas supplies "which would be beneficial for the Americans" and give the Russian economy a useful "impulse".
