Winning the hearts and minds of environmentalism

A friend of mine brought this article to my attention and asked my thoughts on the matter.

While Americans have been lulled to sleep by the media's recent coverage of budget battles on Capital Hill, the sinister forces of socialism and their enablers in media, have combined to continue their mission of co-opting the youthful minds of America, while leaving those capable of seeing the deception purposely in the dark to the truth.

The motto of the United Negro College Fund is: "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." And liberals and socialist have seized upon that reality with the same intensity that those inside the Obama administration have as it concerns wasting a good crisis.

While America sleeps, the egalitarians and their cousins, the socialist inspired multiculturalist remain busily at work dismantling the character and moral structure of this nation. They are like termites, they never sleep and regardless of how many times we have treated the foundation of democracy, they always return to continue their attacks.

Witness their renewed efforts under the guise once again of 'environmental protection' and then have a look at who is involved.
From NewsBusters

On Saturday, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Lisa Jackson will be giving the keynote speech at the Energy Action Coalition's Power Shift 2011 conference, a meeting of potentially 10,000 green youth activists in Washington, D.C.

According to the schedule, President Obama's former green jobs czar Van Jones will be speaking Friday evening, and members of the International Socialists Organization will be hosting a panel discussion Saturday:

Van Jones is a globally recognized, award-winning pioneer in human rights and the clean-energy economy. Van is a co-founder of three successful non-profit organizations: the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Color of Change and Green For All. He is the best-selling author of the definitive book on green jobs: The Green-Collar Economy. He served as the green jobs advisor in the Obama White House in 2009.

Van Jones? That name rings a bell doesn't it? Wasn't he the guy in the Obama administration revealed for his socialist agenda and associations and the same guy gently lowered under the bus by Obama two years ago? Yet he is touted in this environmental seminar as a "globally recognized, award-winning pioneer in human rights and the clean-energy economy" and an award winning author to boot.

Energy Action Coalition is a coalition of 50 youth-led environmental and social justice groups working together to build the youth clean energy and climate movement.

Working with hundreds of campus and youth groups, dozens of youth networks, and hundreds of thousands of young people, Energy Action Coalition and its partners have united a burgeoning movement behind winning local victories and coordinating on state, regional, and national levels in the United States and Canada. [...]

Energy Action Coalition is committed to building a diverse and inclusive movement to solve the climate crisis and address environmental and economic injustice.

You read that correctly, there are presently fifty "youth led environmental and social justice groups" (under the non threatening guise of environmentalism) whose single most purpose is to to "win victories" at the local, state and national level for their socialist agenda. And what is involved in their agenda? You might have noticed it recently at the pump. Or perhaps you noticed it last spring after the oil spill in the gulf. Maybe you remember the oil drilling ban that president Obama immediately instituted after the BP spill? Maybe you have heard of the controversy surrounding ANWAR? Or Obama's stated desire to literally destroy the coal industry in America?

If you have heard these things mentioned, then you are aware of the ongoing efforts by so called environmentalists, to strip this nation of all of its ability to remain a prosperous and productive nation, by depriving it of its energy sources. You have heard these 'environmentalists' and Obama speak of their desires to further energy alternatives and their desires for 'cleaner energy sources.' What you haven't heard too much of are the realities concerning those desires.

The media doesn't like to touch on those subjects with too much light. The hype and the illusion are more palatable to the social environmentalist controlled minds of American media. The media knows the truth behind activist environmentalism, just as they know the truth of the real agenda sponsoring and supporting it, they simply choose to ignore it.

More of a peek in the socialist environmental toy box..

From the BP Oil Spill to the Japanese Nuclear Crisis: Why Capitalism is Killing the Planet

The past year alone has highlighted the massive toll taken on our planet by the coal, oil, and nuclear energy industries. Yet President Obama continues to support these three industries, which have produced not only ecological catastrophe but also widespread human suffering. This panel will discuss why this is the case, how it is linked to a system of global capitalism that puts profit before the needs of human beings and the planet, and how we can move beyond the capitalist ecological crisis.

Panelists
Chris Williams, International Socialist Organization
Heather Kangas, International Socialist Organization
Amanda Duzak, International Socialist Organization

Isn't that nice? A member of the White House is speaking at a conference where avowed socialists are going to tell kids why capitalism is destroying the planet.

A generation ago, Americans knew who their enemies were. We had a president in the Oval office who wasn't afraid to confront what he termed the 'Evil Empire.' Our battles back then were pitched and our enemies were easily recognizable and identifiable. Back then we beat them and we watched as their illusions of socialist Nirvana and global Communism faded into the backdrop of America's newly arisen prominence. But our enemies did not rest or go away. They did not retreat from the battlefield or concede any victory.

They literally re-doubled their efforts and continued on the same fronts where they had seen the greatest gains in support of their efforts. They went after the minds of youth and they succeeded. As they are succeeding still.

Barack Obama may have had to make a minor concession concerning Van Jones and show him the door, but he isn't gone from the inner workings of the master plan. Van Jones may have exited from the immediate present of the administrations protective socialist glow, but the man remains a power broker in the movement and a representative of the socialist left. He remains a soldier for this administration and one who continues to attack the very foundations of this country with his socialist backers. He is doing so in concert with other prominent members of this administration and its inner circle and their targets are the minds of our youth.

They were right, a mind is a terrible thing to waste. Especially when it is young and malleable and full of idealism and a yearning to believe that the bearer can make a difference simply by wishing it so. The fore fathers of socialism and communism have always known that to win victories on the ideological fields of battle, they first must solicit and draft the young minds that are susceptible to their influences. Those absent the experience of having lived long enough to see the miseries and truths of applied socialism and communism.

For those unfamiliar with what is presently afoot and being supported by this administration, by all means, follow the link and read their current environmental battle plan.

Once again, here is the list of their panelists for some of these 'environmental workshops and breakout sessions.'

For those unfamiliar, this is what ISO stands for:

The International Socialist Organization (ISO) is committed to building an organization that participates in the struggles for justice and liberation today--and, ultimately, for a future socialist society. [...]

A world free of exploitation--socialism--is not only possible but worth fighting for. The ISO stands in the tradition of revolutionary socialists Karl Marx, V.I. Lenin and Leon Trotsky in the belief that workers themselves--the vast majority of the population--are the only force that can lead the fight to win a socialist society. Socialism can't be brought about from above, but has to be won by workers themselves. [...]

We see our task as building an independent socialist organization with members organizing in our workplaces, our schools and our neighborhoods to bring socialist ideas to the struggles we are involved in today, and the vision of a socialist world in the future.

Karl Marx once observed.....

"Natural science will in time incorporate into itself the science of man, just as the science of man will incorporate into itself natural science: there will be one science."
Karl Marx

What we are presently seeing in the socialist environmentalist movement in America, is precisely what Marx envisioned a hundred years ago. The combining of scientifically accepted realities, with the geopolitical practices of a socialist environmentalist movement. Something that has here to fore remained below the radar of the average American and no thanks to media, will remain so if allowed.

While America has slept, our enemies have dug under the walls and eroded the foundations of our democracy on a wide ranging scale and this is but one example of their continued efforts. There are less than two years left in this administration and make no mistake, Barack Obama has stated on the record that he will stake his legacy on what he can achieve in one term.

As you go to the pump and to the grocery store over the course of the next few months? Think about what this represents to you and your future, the future of your children. Then consider what is afoot behind the scenes and beneath the surface of this administration. Think about who is involved and what their plans are for your 'environmental' future.
