Perry talks the talk. Is anyone listening?

Rick Perry of Texas is talking the talk and it is a long overdue brand of political and cultural common sense that he is talking. I pray to God that Americans will listen and that the man will rise to the occasion and become the leader that this nation so desperately needs.

Rick Perry tests the waters

"When it comes to conservative social issues, it saddens me when sometimes my fellow Republicans duck and cover under pressure from the left," he said. "Let's speak with pride about our morals and our values and redouble our efforts to elect more conservative Republicans. Let's stop this downward American spiral."

And you know what? He is the first person in this election cycle, (and for a very long time for that matter) that I have heard speaking like a true conservative.

I have absolutely no problems saying what is on my mind and right now (and for the past few months), what has been on my mind, is that something has to be done about Obama. And we have absolutely no one in the GOP (so far announced) capable of dethroning the presently entrenched Marxist occupying the white house.

Rick Perry is absolutely right. We as Americans and as conservative Americans in particular, need to stop trying to befriend and placate the left. George Bush spent both of his administrations doing just that. And aside from the obvious (the left pilloried him and continues to do so) all that was accomplished was a sky rocketing deficit, while he tried to placate and befriend the likes of Ted Kennedy and the rest.

The days of Tip O'Neal and Ronald Reagan are long ago and distant memories. There is no bipartisanship as it concerns today's left. They are adversaries and enemies to American idealism and to our cultural history and they need to be countered and fought every step of the way by those who recognize them for who and what they represent.

The so called progressive leftist are the enemies of America and they are within and we need those like Rick Perry who recognize that reality to lead this nation back from economic collapse and moral devastation. We need to stop trying to buy off and befriend those on the left, who's only real concerns are how to completely scuttle this nation while running it aground on the shoals of leftist socialism.

Go ahead, read the entire piece clipped above and the others on Rick Perry's recent comments. The man is spot on in his assessments of not only what needs to be done to save this nation, but he is also spot on in how conservatives and republicans need to address and confront the leftist liberals that permeate the democrat party.

America doesn't have unlimited time or resources to recover from what is happening and what is being done to it by these avowed enemies of capitalism and America. This country is going down rapidly by the bow and the one responsible, (Obama) is steering this nations full steam ahead into oblivion, while at the same time flooding every economic system that has sustained this nation since WWII.

God help us if someone like Rick Perry doesn't rise to the need and lead us out of this treachery that masquerades as progressiveness in America. America doesn't have time for the mealy mouth politicos like Romney or Gingrich or the rest. Those who strive to always insure that they touch on the talking points and tuck all the politically correct euphemisms into every speech.

America needs a leader who will call it like it is and identify those responsible. Someone unafraid to look a camera or a crowd in the eye and  name names and I for one believe that presently, Rick Perry is the only one I see doing that.

The time truly has come for all good men to come to the aid of their country and that is not just something to be considered during some typing exercise. We need those like Rick Perry to rise to the occasion and as they do, we need to support them. Conservative Americans need to become the cacophony of voices that will be heard.

Our continued existence as a nation depends on it.

“We need to stop apologizing for celebrating life,” the Republican Texas governor bellowed at the Republican Leadership Conference in a finger-pointing, finger-wagging and, at times, bombastic, speech.

“Stop apologizing” for wanting to stem the tide of the “entitlement mindset,” he boasted.

“Our opponents on the left are never going to like us, so let’s stop trying to curry favor with them,” he said, before imploring the crowd to “stand up. Let’s speak with pride about our values. Let’s stop this American downward spiral.”
