Once Again Toyota Is a Leader

Toyota Dealers Pull ABC TV Ads; Anger Over 'Excessive Stories'

Say what you like about Toyota? But I will say this....."it's about damn time."

It's about damn time that some corporate entity told the main stream media to "bugger off" as the Brits might say. Too bad that once again it has to be a Japanese company to lead the way and blaze the trail.

Toyota dealers in five southeast states have pulled their commercials off ABC TV local affiliates, complaining about the coverage of Toyota safety problems by ABC News and its chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross.

Not that there isn't a place for investigative journalism, but when the majority of news today revolves around tabloid style sensationalism? Then I say that it is about time that those who spend their money begin voting with their pocketbooks.

Toyota manufactures and sells a quality product globally. The fact that they have been subjected to recalls is no great mystery or earth shattering news revelation. Yet it looks like ABC sunk it's teeth into going after Toyota and just refused to let go.

So Toyota has bitten back and they are right. There is always the option to spend your money where it is most beneficial to you. I only wish more Americans would do the same and take a lesson from what the Japanese are doing and how they are going about reacting to a slime media.
