Koran burning angers religion of peace.

General Petraeus is speaking out and warning Americans that the planned acts of a Florida Christian church, (intent on burning Korans this Saturday) could spark violence and retaliation from those who are members of the "religion of peace" against American troops in Afghanistan and globally.

Here is a heads up general! That entire country is bent toward causing harm and death to American servicemen and women in that country. (It's called war). Get a grip and try understanding who your enemy really is and stop trying to placate them by kissing their azz!

Do you think anyone gave a shite during WWII when Americans stomped on Nazi flags or the rising sun of Japan? Or that they worried about offending the ruthless bastards who were killing our troops wholesale?

Petraeus Warns Against Church's Koran Burning

A Florida church's plan to burn Korans on Sept. 11 isn't doing the troops in Afghanistan any favors, Gen. David Petraeus said Monday.

Hundreds of Afghans protested Monday in Kabul over the decision by the Gainesville, Fla.-based Dove World Outreach Center to burn copies of what Muslims consider the word of God.

Petraeus said he's concerned that the protests could spread across the country.

"It could endanger troops and it could endanger the overall effort in Afghanistan. It is precisely the kind of action the Taliban uses and could cause significant problems. Not just here, but everywhere in the world we are engaged with the Islamic community," Petraeus said in a statement provided to Fox News.

Though Dove World Outreach Center has been denied a permit to hold a bonfire, the Koran burning is still scheduled to proceed on Saturday. The burning -- set to mark nine years since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks -- follows a campaign last year in which the church distributed T-shirts that said "Islam is of the Devil."

I don't adhere to the proposed acts of this particular congregation in Florida. No more than I adhere to or believe in those Christian congregations throughout Appalachia, who handle snakes and drink poison. But the simple fact remains, this is America and as long as these people are doing this on their own property? Then there isn't anything that can be done about it and there shouldn't be anything done about it.

Personally? I have no sympathy (at all) for those who danced in the streets when over 3000 Americans were murdered on September 11, 2001 And I have less sympathy for those who talk of offenses to their religion, when they openly flaunt and attack mine and commit atrocities against Americans, like beheading innocent American hostages and the hanging of their murdered bodies from bridges.

So if Allah and his followers are upset by the proposed actions of this church in Florida? I could care less. And General Petraeus needs to stop fretting over the politically correct issues of the enemy's propaganda machine and he needs to begin worrying about protecting our troops and pressing the war to the enemy until they can no longer tolerate the pressure.

It's a war general, get on with it or get out!
