Another hero came home yesterday

Kannapolis, NC - Hundreds of motorcycles and members of the patriot guard escorted a fallen Vietnam veteran from Charlotte to Kannapolis, North Carolina Saturday morning.

Sgt. First Class Donald Shue's remains were recently found after he was reported missing in action in 1969. The Concord native was a member of the Army Special Forces. Shue moved to Kannapolis before entering the army in 1967.

More than 40 years later his remains were found in the same city where he was reported missing. Members of Rolling Thunder, the Patriot Guard Riders and other groups met at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport to begin the procession to Kannapolis.
