Sharpton calling for civil disobedience

America appears to be on the verge of a powder keg reaction over the frenzy that the media and those like Al Sharpton are creating over the death of Trayvon Martin in Florida. Forget about innocent until proven guilt and forget about due process. Hell bells, forget about common sense and probable cause. 

What we are watching is truly democracy in action and one of the primary reasons that our founding fathers were so determined to guard against democracy in any form. Democracy is nothing short of mob rule. vigilantism at its personified worst. 

That is what the reverends Sharpton and Jackson and the black panthers and the rest are truly after. They may talk of civil disobedience,. but what they are truly after is a publicly sanctioned and government approved lynching of George Zimmerman. I will be surprised if the man doesn't end of taking his own life from the stress. Stay tuned, this promises to only get worse as the days go by.

The rebel rousers and the true hate peddlers and race baiters see this incident as their ticket back to national prominence.

Al Sharpton: Civil disobedience will escalate if Zimmerman remains free

If George Zimmerman is not arrested in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin soon, theRev. Al Sharpton will call for an escalation in peaceful civil disobedience and economic sanctions.
Sharpton would not say the efforts would be taken against the city of Sanford specifically, but he has been critical of the police department's handling of the case.

One national radio hosts think Al Sharpton should be arrested for his actions in inciting violence.

More hoodies in the hood

Stories like this make me wonder how the demonized George Zimmerman would have fared had he taken the same actions in Chicago. My money on the acronym SSDD. Not a dimes worth of difference, only Sharpton and Jackson would of had to travel so far to ignite the flames.

1 dead, 5 wounded in Gresham store shooting

The Rev. Londale McNeal had just left his church in the Gresham neighborhood and was driving down the block when he heard gunfire, 10 maybe 12 shots.

From his rearview mirror, McNeal saw two young men in hooded sweatshirts rush out of a convenience store and jump into a gray SUV and speed off.

He turned back to the store and ran inside. "There were young men scattered everywhere," he said. "Some of them were screaming. . .You could see the wounds."

McNeal said he called for ambulances. He recognized the victims as young men from the neighborhood who he had tried to lure to the boxing gym his church had opened near the store. "These are some of the same ones I pray for every day.”

Police say the two gunmen entered the Bishop Golden Store in the the 1400 block of West 79th Street around 6 p.m. and opened fire, hitting six people inside the store between the ages of 16 and 24.

Reading the Bible in public in California is a crime.

  This is absolutely ridiculous and unconstitutional. I would very much like to see this case taken before the Supreme Court for a ruling. This pastor was not impeding any ingress or egress, or preventing anyone from coming or leaving. 

He was on public property and arrested for preaching. The CHP officer states that as he is arresting him. "You can preach on your own property, but not here." 

 Hello! Public property is his property and the right of access and the first amendment apply. Afterward, they have the gall to change the charge to trespass? How in hell can you trespass on public property when you are not blocking or impeding anything by your presence.

 

The friendly skies just got unfriendly to man's best friend

I came to realize a number of years ago, that there are entities in this world that make my choices a lot simpler. Something my father use to say that clicked: "Son, never force people to take your money." 

So I don't. I don't force anyone to take my money and as a result, I have a list of those who I refuse to do business with. That list increased by one after reading this story below.

I don't fly that much, but when I do I will make damn sure that it isn't with Untied Airlines from this point forward.  These companies will ban man's best friend from traveling in a crate in the bowels of the aircraft? Yet they will allow heathens and those that they know to be a recognized threats onto their planes. All the while knowing that they have potentially allowed terrorists to board, but being so cowered by the fear of being branded racists, they turn a blind eye to reality. 

Sorry folks, but I would rather sit next to a pit bull than fly the skies with United.

United Airlines bans pit bulls and a litany of dogs that are apparently Mexican breeds

The friendly skies of United Airlines have just gotten a little less friendly for some four-legged creatures.
This month, much to the disappointment of some pet owners, United Airlines confirmed its adoption of the Continental Airlines PetSafe program as the merger of the two carriers became official.
The PetSafe program, which had been in place for several years under Continental, is considered the best in the airline industry and has won an Award for Excellence from the International Pet and Animal Transportation Association.
But not everyone is happy with United's policy that bans nine dog breeds from planes it considers “dangerous.” Breeds, or mixes, that have reached either 6 months of age or 20 pounds that are prohibited are: Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Presa Canario, Perro de Presa Canario, Dogo Argentino, Cane Corso, Fila Brasileiro, Tosa (or Tosa Ken) and Ca de Bou.
Until the merger, United Airlines didn’t have any restrictions on these breeds.

The Bowles-Simpson deficit-reduction plan went down to a crushing defeat in the House late Wednesday night in a vote that damages the one bipartisan proposal that just a few months ago had seemed like a possible solution to the country’s debt woes.
The 382-38 defeat, with just 16 Republicans and 22 Democrats voting for it, marks a bad end to what began nearly two years ago, when President Obama tapped former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles, a Democrat, and former Sen. Alan Simpson, a Republican, to lead a deficit-reduction committee.
Their report has popped up in every deficit discussion since then, but had never gotten a vote in either chamber until this week, when opponents prevailed.
“This doesn’t go big. This doesn’t tackle the problem. This doesn’t do the big things,” said Rep. Paul D. Ryan, Wisconsin Republican and chairman of the Budget Committee. “You can never get the debt under control if you don’t deal with our health care entitlement programs.”

State Dept. Spokesman Refuses to Say Whether Jerusalem Is the Capital of Israel

There was an amazing exchange today at the State Department press briefing when the press secretary refused to say that Jerusalem is the capital of the state of Israel. “We are not going to prejudge the outcome of those negotiations, including the final status of Jerusalem,” State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland said in response the question.

When pressed further, Nuland stood her ground. “Our policy with regard to Jerusalem is that it has to be solved through negotiations.  That's all I have to say on this issue,” said Nuland.

Later, an apparently irritated spokesman again repeated her commitment not to answer the simple question. “I don't have anything further to what I've said 17 times on that subject,” said Nuland. “OK?”

The questions were regarding this Washington Free Beacon story that highlighted the State Department's refusal to list Jerusalem as part of Israel.

Here’s the whole exchange:  

Q:  Yesterday there was a bit of a kerfuffle over an announcement that was made by the department about the travel of your boss. Is it the State Department's position that Jerusalem is not part of Israel? 

MS. NULAND:  Well, you know that our position on Jerusalem has not changed.  The first media note was issued in error, without appropriate clearances.  We reissued the note to make clear that undersecretary, acting undersecretary for -- our -- Kathy Stevens will be travelling to Algiers, Doha, Amman, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. With regard to our Jerusalem policy, it's a permanent-status issue.  It's got to be resolved through the negotiations between the parties.

 A congressman was removed from the House floor Wednesday after giving a speech about Trayvon Martin while wearing a hoodie.

Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Illinois, told House members, "racial profiling has to stop."

Rush, a former Black Panther who was active in the civil rights movement in the 1960s, then took off his suit jacket, pulled a gray hoodie on over his head and put on sunglasses.

"Just because someone wears a hoodie does not make them a hoodlum," he said.

No Justice No Peace!

Really? Do the celebrities and others creating this lynch mob atmosphere even know what the word justice means? Celebrities are some of the main contributors to the hate and the anger and the death threats and the bounties on the head of a man who has not been charged with a crime and yet no one challenges their own obvious racism.

And there might just be a reason for their failure to do so. A reason that isn't based in racism or any of the other fabrications that those like Spike Lee and the rest are furthering. That reason is that Americans as a whole is absolutely terrified of anything to do with race or of possibly being called a racist.

There is a reason that this man hasn't been charged,  Zimmerman obviously did not commit any crime. The police know it, the district attorney knows it and anyone with an ounce of sense knows it.  Stand your ground or not, we as Americans have a right to protect ourselves against assaults by others. This type of crap in the media and coming out of so called celebrities really sickens and angers me. This entire episode and the facts and the truth of what happened that night have been purposely lost in the rage of hyped racial politics and purported race hate, when in fact the real haters in this scenario and the real racist are in majority those pointing the accusing fingers.

MARCH 27--With Twitter and Facebook continuing to explode with posts purporting to contain the address of George Zimmerman, property records and interviews reveal that the home is actually the longtime residence of a married Florida couple, both in their 70s, who have no connection to the man who killed Trayvon Martin and are now living in fear due to erroneous reports about their connection to the shooter.
The mass dissemination of the address on Edgewater Circle in Sanford--the Florida city where Martin was shot to death last month--took flight last Friday when director Spike Lee retweeted a tweet containing Zimmerman’s purported address to his 240,000 followers.
The original tweet was sent to Lee (and numerous other celebrities like Will Smith, 50 Cent, and LeBron James) last Friday afternoon by Marcus Davonne Higgins, a 33-year-old Los Angeles man who uses the online handle “maccapone.” Higgins included the direction, “EVERYBODY REPOST THIS.”
Higgins, pictured at right, first began disseminating the Sanford address to his Twitter followers last Wednesday, including the claim that Zimmerman “Like the fat punk he is, he still lives at home with mommie & daddy.” In a simultaneous post to his Facebook wall, Higgins told his 4000 friends, “FEEL FREE TO REACH OUT & TOUCH HIM.” He also claimed in another post that, “REAL TALK MY PEOPLE OUT THERE IN FLORIDA JUST TOLD ME GEORGE ZIMMERMAN IS NOT AT HIS HOUSE THEY OUT THERE RIGHT NOW.”
Higgins’s dissemination of Zimmerman’s purported Edgewater Circle address was not, however, limited to cyberspace. At a protest rally last Thursday in an L.A. park near his Crenshaw home, Higgins held a sign containing Zimmerman’s name, address, and phone number.

USS Newt: Going down by the bow

In an interesting turn of events, Newt Gingrich seems to be folding tent and slipping from the stage of the final push to the finish at the GOP convention. Albeit his contention that he is just shifting tack on his obviously ill fated and sinking campaign may seem to some to be reasonable.

The bottom line, the man shot himself in the foot so frequently over the past three months of this campaign that when it came time to put his own horse down, he has run out of ammunition. Sadly, Gingrich will now be remembered as the man who would be king, except for his own mouth.

Newt Gingrich is laying off a third of his campaign staff and cutting back on his schedule in an effort designed to sustain the candidate’s long-shot ambitions of winning the nomination at the Republican National Convention, Fox News confirms.
Michael Krull, who took the helm as campaign manager when Gingrich suffered a mass staff exodus in June, has been replaced by deputy campaign manager Vince Haley, a longtime policy adviser to the former House Speaker.
“Michael Krull took over the campaign in June at a moment of great turmoil and helped get us to a point where we were the national frontrunner," wrote communications director Joe DeSantis in a statement. "But Newt and he agreed that it was best for him to step aside for this new phase.”
The staff shakeup, first reported by Politico, is designed around a “big choice convention” strategy, which the campaign says will be built around two goals: showing how Gingrich is the most capable candidate to take on the president and courting delegates in anticipation of a brokered convention.

A heart wrenching story of pain and love and rescue

"They killed my son and now they're trying to kill his reputation,"

 Really? After almost two weeks of non stop demonization of George Zimmerman, now that facts in the case are coming to light that demonstrate that there was more to this confrontation than some racist attack on a poor defenseless black kid, then it is unfair to publish them? Or to publish the accounts of witnesses or the kids actual school history immediately prior to his death?

I don't think so.

New claims cast Trayvon Martin as the aggressor

A slain Florida teenager and the neighborhood watch captain who shot and killed him exchanged words before the teen punched him in the nose and began banging the man's head on the ground, according to the watch captain's account of the confrontation that led to the shooting.
The Orlando Sentinel reported that George Zimmerman told police he lost 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in the neighborhood he regularly patrolled and was walking back to his vehicle last month when the youth approached him from behind.
The two exchanged words, Zimmerman said, and Martin then punched him, jumped on top of him and began banging his head on a sidewalk. Zimmerman said he began crying for help; Martin's family thinks it was their son who was crying out. Witness accounts differ and 911 tapes in which the voices are heard are not clear.
A statement from Sanford police said the newspaper story was "consistent" with evidence turned over to prosecutors.
Because Martin was black and Zimmerman has a white father and Hispanic mother, the case has become a racial flashpoint that has civil rights leaders and others leading a series of protests in Sanford and around the country. Zimmerman said he shot Martin in self-defense and has not been arrested.
Meanwhile, Martin's parents are blaming police for leaking information about their son being suspended for marijuana and details about the fight he had with Zimmerman that portrayed the teen as the aggressor.
Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, and family attorneys said Monday that it was part of an effort to demonize her son.
"They killed my son and now they're trying to kill his reputation," Fulton told reporters.

Gas prices too high? What you need are alternatives

 Alternative energy sources are the answer to high gas prices. So says your president. And if those alternatives cost you ten times as much for an equal capability? Then take heart in the knowledge that you are doing your part while the Chinese are cruising to prosperity. Chevy Volt? No problem. They average $60,000 apiece and they will give you an average of 25 miles of gas free driving a day. Provided they don't explode in your garage from faulty batteries.

Read this tripe below and listen to this president as he tries to make the alternative energy source spiel sound reasonable.  The bottom line, if these alternatives were either feasible or affordable, then we would have a motivation and incentive to pursue them, but they are neither affordable or feasible. They are pie in the sky and ecological mumbo jumbo designed to weaken this nation and move us more rapidly into the socialist realm where Obama and his regime want us.

Mean while you and I and the rest of America are paying through the nose for gasoline while our own resources remain locked in the ground by an administration that would rather see this nation go belly up than become energy independent.

All over the world, more people are buying cars and using gas as growth in the global economy increases the demand for fuel. Likewise, oil supplies are projected to get tighter and tighter.

"China was at 5 million barrels a day in 2005. Today, they are at 10 (million). By 2015, they are going to be at 15-million-barrels-a-day demand," said John Hofmeister, former president of Shell Oil and founder of Citizens for Affordable Energy. "That's 10 million new barrels over 10 years. India is going from 4 to 7 (million) in the next three to four years."

President Obama recognizes the coming explosion in demand.

"China and India, they're growing. China added 10 million cars in 2010 -- 10 million cars just in this one country," Obama said last week. "And they're just going to keep on going, which means they're going to use more and more oil."

The president, however, argues that more drilling is not the way to protect the U.S. Instead, he wants to wean the U.S. off oil by turning to alternatives, such as electric cars.

"If we want to stabilize energy prices for the long term and the medium term, if we want America to grow, we're going to have look past what we've been doing and put ourselves on the path to a real, sustainable energy future," he said.

An Unfortunate T-Shirt Hits Florida Streets In Wake Of Trayvon Martin Killing

Expanding the definition of “cracker,” a t-shirt featuring the photo of the man who shot Trayvon Martin is now available for purchase.

As seen at right (click to enlarge), the shirt has a picture of George Zimmerman and the words “Pussy Ass Cracker.” Zimmerman, a 28-year-old Hispanic, killed Martin, 17, last month while acting as a neighborhood watch captain in Sanford, Florida.

The shirt’s “pussy ass cracker” line is apparently a reference to lyrics from the rapper Plies’s song “100 Years,” which bemoans stiff sentences handed out by racist judges.

And now its all about the money

So now it is all about the money I mean the justice. Time to cash in and make something on this. I am sorry, but I have absolutely no pity for anyone who uses the death of a child to enrich themselves. Doesn't happen you say?

Mother Seeks Trayvon Martin Trademarks

The mother of Trayvon Martin has filed two applications to secure trademarks containing her late son’s name, records show.
Sabrina Fulton is seeking marks for the phrases “I Am Trayvon” and “Justice for Trayvon,” according to filings made last week with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In both instances, Fulton is seeking the trademarks for use on “Digital materials, namely, CDs and DVDs featuring Trayvon Martin,” and other products.
The March 21 USPTO applications, each of which cost $325, were filed by an Orlando, Florida law firm representing Fulton.
Martin, 17, was shot to death last month during a confrontation with George Zimmerman, a 28-year-old neighborhood watch captain. Martin, pictured above, was visiting his father’s home in Sanford, Florida when he was shot to death by Zimmerman, who has claimed that he was acting in self-defense. (6 pages)
