The Eco Chameleon Changes Skins Again

One thing that you can always count on with liberals? They know how to craft slogans and they know how to hijack words and phrases to champion their causes faster than any group in existence. And they also know how to de-ass a term or phrase faster than a snake shedding its skin or a politician changing positions.

The problem with global warming, some environmentalists believe, is “global warming.” The term turns people off, fostering images of shaggy-haired liberals, economic sacrifice and complex scientific disputes, according to extensive polling and focus group sessions conducted by ecoAmerica, a nonprofit environmental marketing and messaging firm in Washington.

Instead of grim warnings about global warming, the firm advises, talk about “our deteriorating atmosphere.” Drop discussions of carbon dioxide and bring up “moving away from the dirty fuels of the past.” Don’t confuse people with cap and trade; use terms like “cap and cash back” or “pollution reduction refund.”

To the casual observer or the untrained eye and blank slate mind, it might seem that there is nothing going on with this ecological sea change of words. Nothing but a simple reevaluation of position and an earnest attempt to more clearly and honestly focus the message. But the reality is far from that innocuous and seemingly harmless perception.

What is being demonstrated in the exercise of words above, is the daily crafting of liberal new speak and how they go about creating it and then infecting society with it as if they have created something completely new and stimulating.

And the considered practice of changing the words and terminologies to not only suit their fancy, but more importantly to confuse and obscure their intents, while camouflaging and hiding what their true aims and political agendas are.

“Another key finding: remember to speak in TALKING POINTS aspirational language about shared American ideals, like freedom, prosperity, independence and self-sufficiency while avoiding jargon and details about policy, science, economics or technology,”

Watching the PC brigades of the various liberal interests in America and the west in general, is always entertaining to say the least. But watching their schemes employed in crafting of social perceptions and social mores are where the real education lies. For there is where the danger also lies.

As is evidenced by the latest polls, people are no longer buying into the global warming hypocrisy, therefore, the green eco chameleons have to change gears and change their colors and change their word campaigns once again. And the way they approach the weak minded audience that they target with this Orwellian new speak methodology of the relativist big lie principle, is where the heart of the beast socialism truly lies.
