Yes, that is precisely what he said....(MAYBE NOT)

Apparently, the Washington Times changed their original report. Specifically, they modified the quotation originally attributed to the preesident (below). I have subsequently located a video of the remarks, and this is not what he said. Therefore, this report is corrected and amended to reflect that he never said what was reported by the Washington Times.

 Obama makes recess appointments
The White House, though, argues Republican senators have been stonewalling his nominees for so long that Mr. Obama had no choice but to circumvent them.
The president introduced Mr. Cordray during a trip to Ohio Wednesday, telling a supportive crowd that the Senate Republicans’ ongoing blockade of his nomination “inexcusable.”

“I refuse to take ‘No’ for an answer. I’ve said before that I will continue to look for every opportunity to work with Congress to move this country forward. But when Congress refuses to act in a way that hurts our economy and puts people at risk, I have an obligation as president to do what I can without them,” Mr. Obama said.

When I read that comment, "refuses to act in a way that harms our economy..." I'm just dumbfounded? I saw the comment in the transcript before he made the comment and thought surely they would correct it?! Did he actually go ahead and say it that way?

Yep, he said it.

That is really just ... well ... I think I am ... speechless? He really said that?! I mean he actually stood up in front of a live mike and said those words?!

Now wouldn't that be a rich youtube find!

Well..apparently the Washington Times has now modified their original report and changed the reported words that were previously posted.
