SSDD, More calls for gun control

As expected, the wailing of  the banshees crying out for gun control came crashing forth like an anticipated tidal wave in the aftermath of the Colorado shootings. Will there be a similar call for the banning of capricious media violence? Don't look for it. Hollywood's pandering to the obscene and the tragic are what are the motivators behind such tragedies. Combined with the fact that our society has abandoned every level of common decency and respect for human life and replaced it with debauchery and the desire to defame and debase all moral values that have existed for generations.

Yes, there is truth to the leftist adage that this is the price we must now pay to live in a free society. As long as we allow dehumanizing secularism to govern our society and assert that deviancy is to be relished and decency is to be abhorred, these massacres of innocent people will continue.

I will not waste my time attempting to counter the idiocy of leftist knee jerks and their never ending mantra of gun control. Those who buy into such leftist propaganda are already a lost cause. The bottom line, had there of been armed citizens in that theater the other night. Capable of responding to the threats of this maniac, as opposed of cowering and waiting for the government to come do something, many of these victims would be alive today. Many more would not have been wounded.

The call for federal lawmakers to tighten gun laws has intensified following the mass shooting  in Colorado, with New Jersey Democratic Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg urging Congress on Saturday to swiftly address a ban on certain weapons.
“Let's stop wasting time and start saving lives,” Lautenberg, D-N.J. said on his Twitter account. “Congress must prioritize a ban on high-capacity gun magazines.”
At least one other lawmaker has already called on President Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney to address the issue.
"Soothing words are nice," New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a radio interview, "but maybe it's time that the two people who want to be president of the United States stand up and tell us what they are going to do about it, because this is obviously a problem across the country."
