Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer?

Look who are best buds now.......(according to Ghaddafi)
Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi considers the US president a blessing to the Muslim world. In a speech published in London-based al-Hayat newspaper on Saturday, Gaddafi praised Barack Obama, called him a "friend" and said there is no longer any dispute between his country and the US.

Speaking in the Libyan city of Sirt at an event marking the 24th anniversary of an American attack on Libya, he said, "At the time, we were the target of the American cannon, the American navy challenged us in the gulf of Sirt and attacked us all along Libya's shores. America tested Libya, and the Libyan people resisted the large country, but today, thank God, the difference is great."

He said, "Now, ruling America is a black man from our continent, an African from Arab descent, from Muslim descent, and this is something we never imagined – that from Reagan we would get to Barakeh Obama."
"a black man from our continent, an African from Arab descent, from Muslim descent,"

Kinda says a lot don't it.  Now of course, the White House and "their buds" in the media will distance themselves from these statements by Gaddafi and seek to claim these are just the ramblings of a mad man.

But these revelations do call for at least some pause and reflection. At least in my opinion they do.. Many people, myself included, tried to warn the people in this country back during the 2008 presidential election as it concerned Obama's roots and how he was viewed by middle eastern Muslims, regardless of how much he and his handlers and the media tried to muddy the waters.  And one of the main warnings that we all issued back then, was just how Barack Obama was seen by Muslims in the middle east. Specifically, that regardless of his protestations and denials, he remained the first born son of an African Muslim and therefore, he was/is a Muslim in the minds of  Muslims globally.

So considering Gaddafi's statements of supposed friendship and admiration for this president? Are his assertions really some isolated delusional representation, or do they speak directly to the way Barack Obama is viewed in the Muslim world et al.

I say the latter is closer to the reality. Besides, Barack Hussein Obama was the first and only American president to ever visit Libya. He must of made a real impression on Gaddafi.
