The morning after

It's morning in America as the ghost of Ronald Reagan might say. And what have we witnessed in Florida last night. In my opinion what has been demonstrated clearly, is that anyone with the money and the mainstream media support, can win a primary.(and an general election for that matter)

Mitt Romney out spent Newt Gingrich four to one in Florida and probably six or seven to one when Santorum and Paul are compared to the winner. So what does that say about the state of American politics. Before anyone gets their panties in a bunch worrying about how much will be spent over the next couple of months in these campaigns, it would be good to remember that the real contest doesn't come until after the summer conventions and the republican champion is finally crowned. That is when Barack Obama and the democrats are expected to spent over a billion dollars seeking Obama's second term and they will succeed.

What does Mitt Romney have to match that with that kind of money? I am guessing that he will do well to amass half that much and once he has the GOP nomination, then most assuredly the media will immediately shift their complete attention and their openly biased support back to Obama.

If the republicans should have learned anything in 2008, it was that once the media was finished influencing the GOP nomination, it was time to savage the GOP champion and that is exactly what they did to McCain and that is exactly what they will do to Romney. Only this time, Romney doesn't even have a war record to hide behind.

The game plan is pretty simple as I see it. For those who were paying attention recently, they have already tipped their hand. George Soros stated in an interview last week that there wasn't a dimes worth of difference between Romeny and Obama. Yes sir, he admitted it and never blinked. His only worry is that Gingrich or Santorum might get the nomination, then the democrats might really have a problem. But as it is, all that Obama has to do is point our Romney Care and all the other same and similar policies over the years that Romney has championed as a liberal (before he became a republican conservative) and then ask the question: "Why change horses now? Mitt Romney is no different than I am on these issues, so vote for me! Stay the course! Change is coming! Fundamental change that you can count on!.

And sadly? There are millions of Americans who will agree with that pitch and go right back to the polls and vote Obama right back into a second term.

The die is being cast for the final death throes of this nation and everyone who sits idly by and watches, has a hand in their own demise.
