The ravings of a leftist (billionaire) loon

In this article, there are four pages of the story of a sad, lonely and covetous man who happens to be rich in money but dirt poor in almost every other aspect of his life. Mae West famously remarked, "if money won't buy you happiness? You're shopping in the wrong places." I tend to agree.

What has a marriage to the absolute sorriest communist sympathizing slut on the planet and his billions bought for him over the years? Absolutely nothing. As Ted Turner wallows in the last years of his life, he has little to show for the effort in my opinion aside for his wealth. Having baseball fields named after you don't really represent a lot when the sum total of your life  is examined.

The man had millions that he could have used for the betterment of mankind and his country and he squandered it all chasing after socialist environmentalist dogma and in the end, his only accomplishments are that he made a fortune and spent it all shopping in the wrong places.

A sad man that I have absolutely no pity for.

Whatever Happened to Ted Turner?

Issue 9 Ted Turner Cover - P 2012
"Isn’t that the thinnest billionaire’s wallet you ever saw?" Ted Turner gloats on a drizzling day in New York. "I’m really proud of it.”
He holds out the wallet, a slender, black, rather unpretentious affair, as this reporter cranes for a closer look, neglecting to mention I’ve never seen a billionaire’s wallet before. It contains Turner’s driver’s license, two credit cards, lists of his appointments for the next couple of days (he doesn’t use e-mail), a few phone numbers and about $1,000 in cash — though what on earth for, he doesn’t say, since he never shops.
The tycoon-turned-philanthropist has removed the wallet from his blazer to show me a printed card with his "11 Voluntary Initiatives," an oddly naive reinvention of the Ten Commandments that he concocted some 15 years ago, including such vows as "I promise to care for Planet Earth and all living things thereon, especially my fellow beings."

Reminds me of Howard Hughes. Died of starvation, 6'4", weighing all of 90 lbs at his death.

"Then whose things will these things be?"

Truly sad. the man has everything and he has nothing. I have seen his luxury condo he built on top of an old 12 story office building he bought to house his Atlanta restaurant downtown.

A truly pathetic waste of wealth and yet he is one of those admired by the leftist elite.
