America's Newest Amusement Attraction

Walt Disney once opined to his loyal staff of imagineers "My only hope is that we never lose sight of one thing, that it was all started by a mouse."

What a difference fifty years makes.

In the same land where Walt Disney launched his world famous amusement park for all ages, the latest attraction features some interesting twists and none of them are based on fairy tales.

For $65, Tourists Get Peek at Los Angeles Gangland

And that price includes the opportunity to become a crime victim or worse apparently.

Passengers paying $65 a head Saturday signed waivers acknowledging they could be crime victims and put their fate in the hands of tattooed ex-gang members who say they have negotiated a cease-fire among rivals in the most violent gangland in America.

Perhaps some enterprising individual can throw something together for those wanting to visit the machete wielding gangs and anarchist neighborhoods presently roaming Haiti, before the international relief efforts and the UN spoil all the potential fun for tourists in that adventure too.

All I can say about this revelation of the modern tourist experience in LA?

Absolutely amazing.
