Another boost for the French Auto industry

Hundreds of cars torched in France at New Year

PARIS (Reuters) - Youths burned 1,137 cars across France overnight as New Year's Eve celebrations once again turned violent, the French Interior Ministry said on Friday.

So I wonder. Just how long before we in America can expect some similar stimulus for our own economy? Just doesn't seem fair that the French should reap all the benefits of the religion of peace.

Of course, they did have a head start on importing their problems into their country long before we did. But I truly believe that with our new president's plans and policies? And that "yes we can" mentality? We can rebuild our auto industry a few thousand burned out hulks at a time.

Hells bells! We ought to be able to see twenty times that many cars burned in America each week if we try. Someone call the UAW and tell them to get ready for a surge and let Obama know that there is hope for Government Motors after all.
