MENE, MENE, TEKEL, and PARSIN

Obama endorses deficit commission plan

Trying to win the votes of fiscal moderates, President Barack Obama formally endorsed legislation Saturday creating an independent commission with the power to force Congress to vote on major deficit reduction steps this year, after the November elections.

Really? Imagine that. Is that even legal or constitutional? Having spent his first year in office attempting to single handedly destroy capitalism in America and replace it with Socialism, the man has now seemingly come to his senses? (albeit a feint at best)

I don't think so.

And here I was thinking that Obama was the second coming, when now it appears that he is really King Belshazzar reincarnated. And all it took was the election of Scott Brown to snap him back to his senses.

I wonder if he was in the Lincoln bedroom by chance, when this epiphany first struck him. On second thought....I wonder if there is a fireplace in that bedroom. Some place for the 'disembodied fingers of a human hand to appear and write on the wall' for this interloper we call a president.

And is the election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts the harbinger of greater woes for the Obama kingdom? It certainly would seem so if you have been listening to and watching the retching going on inside the progressive socialist democrat party of late.

“The President is demonstrating exactly the kind of leadership we need to tackle our nation’s long-term fiscal challenges,” said Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), a lead sponsor of the legislation to create an independent deficit commission. “His support shows that he is determined to do what is necessary to put us back on a sound long-term course.”

Oh contraire dear senator. On the contrary....what is being demonstrated is that this president has finally been awakened from his drunken socialist stupor and seen the writing on the wall. I wonder....who will become his Daniel and interpret it for him. Obviously that person has yet to be summoned. Surely the great Madame Pelosi and Messer Reid are incapable of reading the omen of Massachusetts. As will the true sooth sayers Axelrod and Emauel

They too have been unnerved by the mysterious message that has appeared amongst the people. But rather than listen to the voices or seeking someone pure of heart to interpret the message, they have concocked a new scheme. Appear to give the people something they want. Appear to give them fiscal accountability, just don't do anything before the mid term elections. As it would be fair to hamstring and limit our dear socialist progressives as they spend the people's money in their vain attempts at reelection.

And even with his faux olive branches extended......
“These deficits did not happen overnight, and they won’t be solved overnight,” the president said. “We not only need to change how we pay for policies, but we also need to change how Washington works. The only way to solve our long-term fiscal challenge is to solve it together – Democrats and Republicans.”

The man still won't be able to sufficiently fool enough of the opposition to gain any consensus on floating his latest ruse on the people.

I am sorry mr president, but the writing on the wall is nothing new and it was deciphered thousands of years before your birth.
And this is the writing that was inscribed: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, and PARSIN. This is the interpretation of the matter: MENE, God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end; TEKEL, you have been weighed on the scales and found wanting; PERES, your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians

A baited banker thus desponds,
From his own hand foresees his fall,
They have his soul, who have his bonds;
'Tis like the writing on the wall.
