Annoying & Distracting? You Bet!

That's what the pro Obama spokespeople and liberal media pundits are calling the recent series of crisis' that the president has been presented with, yet has refused to effectively address or engage..

Pirates pose annoying distraction for Obama
Democratic strategist Doug Schoen, who worked in the Clinton White House, called the crisis "a real test of national resolve" that the Obama White House and opposition Republicans need to work together to deal with.

"It's an annoyance and a distraction," he said. "On the other hand, if we don't take this seriously and we don't stamp it out we will face what other countries are facing, which are repeated acts of piracy."

So what exactly has caused all this? Well, let's see. First we had the little tindick dictator of North Korea fire an ICBM over Japan after being told not to. That was Obama's first 3 AM wake up call this week. But now we have spokespeople for the president claiming that he shouldn't have been awakened for that anyway, as he already knew that Kim Jong was going to fire the missile. They of course didn't cover the fact that he hasn't done a thing about it since it happened and never intended to.

Then there was the pirating of the Maersk Alabama off of the horn of Africa, but once again, those closest to the president are telling the media that this is something that the president doesn't need to be distracted by. That is why he has handed it off to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. I wonder if anyone has pointed out to them or the president, what a bang of job of nothing that she is getting accomplished with the crisis. Which presently amounts to sending American war ships into the area to shadow the pirates, but effectively taking no positive pro-action. Including not being in position to provide any assistance to the kidnapped captain when he attempted to flee these thugs on his own last night. (reports today being that the USS Baimbrideg was several hundred yards away "monitoring" the situation at the time of the captian's fleeting escape attempt.)

And then of course comes the other little tindick in Iran, stroking his ego and girding his loins once again on the world stage, by bragging of the successes of his centrifuges and rubbing America's nose in it while celebrating Iran's nuclear day celebrations.

Meanwhile, the president of the United States, who is the highest elected constitutional officer in the land and the commander in chief of this country among other things, is sequestered in the White House working on his various proposals to supposedly address the economy. None of which seems to address anything other than his own socialist shopping list for spending money like there is no tomorrow. Mean while he did surface above the parapets today just long enough to tell us that he thinks he sees glimmers of hope in the economy.

Here's a tip Mr.president. Those aren't glimmers of hope that you are seeing while peeking through the curtains at the White House from the west wing. Those are embers of the firestorms approaching you and your positions. Much like the real fires presently raging in Oklahoma, the flames will soon be coming closer and closer and you won't be able to hide and vote "present" for that much longer. Especially once the people come calling for answers and leadership. And eventually they will.

My only question at this point? Is Itzhak Perlman dropping by the White House regularly to attend to the president's fiddle lessons? As the time is short. And the comparisons between Barack Hussein Obama and Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus are striking IMO.

Nero Wikipedeia entry
Nero ruled from 54 to 68, focusing much of his attention on diplomacy, trade, and increasing the cultural capital of the empire. He ordered the building of theatres and promoted athletic games. His reign included a successful war and negotiated peace with the Parthian Empire (58–63), the suppression of the British revolt (60–61) and improving relations with Greece. The First Roman-Jewish War (66-70) started during his reign. In 68 a military coup drove Nero from the throne. Facing execution, he committed suicide on 9 June 68.[2]

Nero's rule is often associated with tyranny and extravagance.[3] He is known for a number of executions, including those of his mother[4] and adoptive brother, as the emperor who "fiddled while Rome burned",[5] and as an early persecutor of Christians. This view is based upon the main surviving sources for Nero's reign — Tacitus, Suetonius and Cassius Dio. Few surviving sources paint Nero in a favorable light.[6] Some sources, though, including those mentioned above, portray him as an emperor who was popular with the common Roman people, especially in the East.[7]

And how about this for a real looming crisis Mr. president....What are you going to do when the Israelis finally tire of all this relativist gamesmanship and non action coming out of you administration and they go after Iran on their own? It will happen. You have to know that. So what then little Caesar?
