Thanksgiving traditions in America

The all American Thanksgiving day parade has come down to a headliner who accused the president of the United States of being a racist. Say it ain't so! Kanye didn't call Obama a racist did he? Certainly not! It was the other guy stupid. That Bush guy we blame everything on!

So I guess with the addition of Gladys? America's parade is now a mixture of soul diva and hip hop "soul jer." I wonder how the Rose parade will turn out come January. I hear Hugo Chavez may be available.
A high-kicking Kung Fu Panda and a diary-toting Wimpy Kid will join the giant balloon lineup for the 84th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Live entertainers expected at Thursday's parade include Kanye West, Gladys Knight and Colombian rocker Juanes.

Tens of thousands of spectators are expected to line the parade route, with millions more watching the live broadcast on NBC.Returning balloon characters include Spider-Man, Smurf and Pillsbury Doughboy.
The Broadway casts of "American Idiot" and "Elf" will performThe Macy's parade tradition started in 1924. The parade was suspended from 1942 to 1944 because rubber and helium were needed for the war effort.

Perhaps the performing cast of "American Idiot and Elf" are actually omens.
