Was a terror plot really stopped in Oregon?

I may be wrong, but it seems to me that this is the second if not the third supposed terrorist plot broken up by the FBI since Obama took office.

And in each instance, there is a certain commonality of evidence. The suspect/s involved are young Muslims. Each of whom were contacted by undercover operatives and agents and the FBI, who ultimately provided them with inert devices and led them to believe that they would in fact be part of some larger master plot to detonate these provided explosives.

How many similar instances were revealed in the seven years after 9/11 during the Bush administration. None that I can remember. Which begs the question....."if the Bush administration didn't find these terrorists? Then they must have either never existed, or the must have succeeded." They didn't succeed apparently, because they didn't exist. But suddenly they do exist.

In law enforcement, there is something known as "shooting on a baited field." In other words, setting up a circumstance whereas potential criminals frequenting the area will appear and immediately choose to become involved in a crime of their own volition. It is key to the successful prosecution of these arrests of the opportunist criminal, that the police be able to demonstrate that they did nothing to influence the actions of the suspect prior to or during the commission of the crime. To do otherwise is considered "entrapment" and all evidence gained via entrapment is inadmissible.

Therefore, I have to wonder. Was this kid in Oregon truly acting on his own? Or was he basically recruited by undercover informants and paid operatives for the FBI. An FBI that later decided to work the patsy and provide him with everything that he needed to accomplish his supposed terrorist desires. Only to have the rug pulled out from under the operation and the media splash at the appropriate time with all the pertinent details of the arrest.

I have no doubt that this kid may have been exposed to radical Islam. As a matter of fact, I am of the opinion that every Muslim has been and is being exposed to radical Islam on a regular basis. The question is, "are we really getting the seriously committed zealots? Or are we simply creating circumstances where we can claim to have been on the job and pursuing our terrorist adversaries?"

As the evidence unfolds, I am more and more of the opinion that our FBI and Justice department, are shopping for cases to be made and then held up as examples of the extraordinary efforts of this administration to address the global terrorist threat. Meanwhile, home grown Muslims are targeted for "special operations," while we turn a blind eye to our borders and allow the far mor committed and far more dangerous middle eastern terrorist to enter and operate freely inside this country.

So as you watch the news coverage of this Somali kid's court appearance in Oregon today, pay attention to the evidence being released to the media. How did he come to be at that tree lighting and in control of a van full of 55 gallon drums of (inert) explosives that were somehow "provided for him." Then ask yourself if anything has really been accomplished by this arrest. Or is what we are seeing nothing more than the staged arrests of those being duped into the FBI's net of creating the opportunity and then arresting the manufactured terrorists.
