Awaiting a verdict on Obama's authority to be commander in chief (UPDATED)

Court to hear case of Lt. Colonel who wouldn't deploy
A military court was set to hear the case Tuesday of an Army doctor charged with refusing to deploy to Afghanistan because he says he doubts whether President Barack Obama was born in the U.S. and therefore questions his eligibility to be commander in chief.
Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, an 18-year-Army veteran, disobeyed orders to report earlier this year to Fort Campbell in Kentucky to prepare for deployment, saying he believed the orders were illegal.
In videos posted on YouTube, Lakin aligned himself with so-called "birthers" who question whether Obama is a natural-born citizen as the U.S. Constitution requires for presidents.
Lakin says in the videos that any reasonable person looking at available evidence would have questions about Obama's eligibility to be president and that he had "no choice" but to disobey orders. Lakin, a native of Greeley, Colo., said he would "gladly deploy" if Obama's original birth certificate were released and proved authentic.

I support what Col. Lakin has undertaken as his own personal crusade. Maybe he can break through where others have failed, but in either event, win or lose, the issue of Obama's birth certificate will not be resolved by this court martial and I don't hold out any hope that Col. Lakin will prevail.

The best that can happen is that the court could rule that the Colonel was justified and his actions of refusal to deploy were proper. However, I don't look for that to happen.

The military judge has already ruled to exclude Obama's birth certificate as a material issue of evidence and therefore, it is not admissible as either evidence or argument before the court.

So barring divine intervention, Col. Lakin will be convicted and sent to a military prison, convicted of refusing to obey a direct order etc. They will make an example out of him, they cannot afford not to. Especially with him being a higher ranking officer.

What needs to happen? An entire brigade or regiment needs to step off and refuse to deploy until the questions surrounding the interloper Obama are revealed for the truth once and for all.

But don't look for that to happen.

I have absolutely no doubt that Obama is an interloping imposter and someone who was specifically cultivated by the new socialist party (AKA the "NewParty") in Chicago five years ago, but exposing him for what he is and who he is and the facts around his birth and everything else? Well that simply won't happen until he is out of office.

People have been screaming about it since before he was elected and the complicit media refuses to uphold the responsibilities that were given them by the constitution.

Yes, the truth will eventually come out but at that point? It will no longer matter, an the damage will have been done and the point will be moot.

Presently there are a number of bloggers on the internet calling on others to send emails to Fox News and other media outlets inundating them, demanding coverage of Lt. Colonel Lakin's trial. That is an admirable undertaking, but it is the equivalent of trying to nail jello to a wall. The MSM in America simply isn't listening and anyone who has been paying attention over the last eight to ten years has to know that.

Obama is an enemy to this country no doubt about it, but so are the facilitators in the media who are complicit conspirators and have been for decades. So stay tuned and watch for news of a verdict in the Lakin case by Friday. Probably late Friday. That's usually the way they handle news reports that they don't care to pursue beyond a ten second splib of recap. Maybe later on, Glenn Beck or others will pick up on the story again and cover the conviction, but that is about all that will happen.

(UPDATE)

FORT MEADE, Md. – An Army doctor who disobeyed orders to deploy to Afghanistan because he questions President Barack Obama's citizenship has pleaded guilty to one of two charges against him.

At a court-martial proceeding Tuesday in Maryland, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin of Greeley, Colo., pleaded guilty to a charge that included not meeting with a superior when ordered to do so and not reporting to duty at Fort Campbell.

Lakin faces up to 18 months in prison and dismissal from the Army.

He pleaded not guilty to a second charge of missing a flight he was required to be on. His court-martial at Fort Meade is continuing on that count.

Hawaiian officials say they have records proving Obama was born there and is therefore eligible to be president. But so-called birthers challenge that.
