The Union Reality in America

Thousands Of City Workers To Take 24 Unpaid Days In 2010

If anyone was ever curious as to how unions control major cities in America, they need look no further than the great city of Chicago. That's right.....Obama's home town has got a few things to show the rest of the nation in this time of recession and crisis.

America need only turn to Mayor Daley and observe from a master of machine politics precisely how to manage a financial crisis. Daley is a son that learned the game of union politics and the machine paybacks at the knee of his famously corrupt father. And here he is today unveiling his plan for steering the city of Chicago through the recession and the lack of budget to fund the city's departments for fiscal 2010.

Faced with a $550 million budget deficit, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley today said that all non-union city workers will take nearly five working weeks of unpaid leave next year to save the city money.

The key phrase here? "All non union city workers."

So what does that mean? Apparently it means that as long as you are a card carrying paid up union member employed by the city of Chicago (probably in the SEIU "service employees international union," or in AFSCME "American federation of state county and municipal employees,") then you have your place reserved at the city's payroll table while everyone else is forced to suffer.

Meanwhile? Your fellow workers, those poor dumb bast turds that failed to join a union? Well they will be getting five weeks of unpaid leave compliments of the union boss mayor of Chicago.

Isn't it amazing how socialist liberals can spread the wealth and the misery?

Any one else wondering what the great Obama messiahs plans are for creating jobs in America might be?
