1984 is just a Tweet away

"It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen"

Some may remember that opening line to George Orwell's famous novel. Most believed at the time and since, that his was just an illusionary tale that could never come to pass in reality in America. Think again. Perhaps Orwell's foreboding tale of a dystopian society becoming a reality was just a little premature date wise. I certainly tend to think so based upon what I am presently seeing.

I saw the danger of something like this becoming a reality and a vector for collective control of America, after 9/11 and the creation of homeland Security. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely they say and I tend to believe them. See for yourself and you decide. PS. You might want to think again about your tweeting....just saying......

Big Sis To Monitor Twitter For Signs Of Social Unrest
The wave of civil unrest that has swept the globe over the past year has prompted the Department of Homeland Security to step up its monitoring of Twitter and other social networks in a bid to pre-empt any sign of social dislocation within the United States.
