'I'd do it again'
"Yeah, we water-boarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed," Bush said of the terrorist who master-minded the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington. He said that event shaped his presidency and convinced him the nation was in a war against terror.
"I'd do it again to save lives."
Do I miss him yet? I missed his leadership the minute he stepped on that plane and waved good bye in January of 2009. Bush did a number of things during his presidency that both annoyed and outraged me as it did many other Americans. But we never doubted either his commitment or his sincerity when it came to his roll of commander in chief and the protection of the people of this country.
I honestly can't say the same for Obama. Obama has worried me from day one and continues to worry me. IMO, he would rather see America attacked and Americans killed than for those who protect this nation be allowed to do their jobs and seek out and destroy our enemies.
And the sad reality? Obama would probably say the same thing in the aftermath of a deadly terrorist attack. He would do it again and allow it to happen again before he would compromise his socialist values.
And if that isn't terrifying to contemplate? It should be.
