UPDATED: Oakland Mayor Quan Prosecute This Cop or Resign: Photo Evidence, Scott Olsen Shooting

For those interested, the left and the media are attempting to create their 'Kent State moment' for the Occupy movement. When Oakland police moved in to evict the protestors earlier this week in Oakland California, they were met with anarchist resistance and a concerted effort to engage in violent resistance toward the police. The police responded with tear gas and rubber bullets. In the melee, an individual identified as Scott Olsen was reportedly struck in the head by a 'police projectile.' Subsequently those at the Guardian newspaper in the UK are reporting that Olsen was shot by a police officer. This report has been picked up by The Daily Kos and other leftist blogs and media and these reports are now being spread by mainstream media.

To date, there is absolutely no evidence this young man was struck by any police projectile period and the videos linked at The Guardian and The Daily Kos by those attempting to make those allegations, are weak and poorly crafted at best. Those pushing this story line and trying to assert evidence though intentionally blurred insets in a video and from long range aerial footage (apparently taken by news media helicopters who were over the area and filming). They simply can't make their case or any case based on these videos and stills no matter how much additional suggestive commentary they include with them.

An update to this fabrication has now been revealed: It appears that the individual injured (Scott Olsen,) is not only an activist anti war agitator, but he is also the author of a website titled 'I hate the Marine Corps. Do You?'

Prior to these revelations, the leftist and those in leftist media have been reporting that Scott Olsen is an Iraq war veteran in an attempt to garner sympathy for their cause. The classic 'see! you shot one of your own 'gotcha moments.' Problem is, it isn't working.

Go ahead, follow the links and read and watch the fabrications. The Guardian link

There is no level that these leftist will not stoop to and there is no level of objectivity that many in the media will not betray to create sensationalism while furthering the cause of anarchy in the streets.
