Obama's Radicalism Is Killing America

"Obama's Radicalism Is Killing the Dow"

That is the headline from yesterday's Wall Street Journal (WSJ). And the lead in paragraphs spell out the fears and the reasoning behind that feeling quite well IMO.

It's hard not to see the continued sell-off on Wall Street and the growing fear on Main Street as a product, at least in part, of the realization that our new president's policies are designed to radically re-engineer the market-based U.S. economy, not just mitigate the recession and financial crisis.
[Commentary] Martin Kozlowski

The illusion that Barack Obama will lead from the economic center has quickly come to an end. Instead of combining the best policies of past Democratic presidents -- John Kennedy on taxes, Bill Clinton on welfare reform and a balanced budget, for instance -- President Obama is returning to Jimmy Carter's higher taxes and Mr. Clinton's draconian defense drawdown.

In my opinion, it's not just the DOW that is in dire straights. The whole country is headed toward hell in a hand basket as a result of the messianic one's first fifty days in office. There use to be a measure of a president's performance known as the first 100 days in office. That was the standard and the measuring stick used to attempt to determine just what sort of leader America had elected. But Barack Obama has established a new water mark in my opinion. He has already accomplished more fiscal heresy in his first fifty days in office, than most of his liberal predecessors were able to accomplish in four years, or combined over the entire history of this country for that matter.

There are a lot of analogies being floated about of late, attempting to represent to the average dull American individually and the dumb masses as a whole, just what all this really represents to us and our future as a nation. It was a bit before my time, but I have seen the laments of one Will Rogers (great American humorist) commenting on the government aftermath of the great depression and the then actions of a less than chagrined congress that worsened it daily.

Rogers' reflected the reality of those times, by asserting such sage wisdom as......"a million dollars here? A million dollars there? And the first thing you know? You are talking real money!"

We are a bit farther down the pike of history since those heady days of million dollar budgets and Will Rogers' opines, but the same principles apply as it concerns the actions of a inept congress and a White House hell bent on making this recession/depression as painful as it possibly can be. The only difference between then and now, is that we aren't talking millions of dollars anymore. Or even billions. We are talking trillions. And I am afraid that if something isn't done soon? We may be looking at quadrillions by the time this socialist interloper and his gallery of rogues is finished. (provided we survive that long.)

One of the analogies recently examined by many, said that if you spent a million dollars a day, from the time of Jesus to the present? You still wouldn't have spent a trillion dollars by the present day. Here's another one. Barack Obama's proposed deficit? Well it represents more money than any other president in our history has succeeded in spending. And the kicker? Or all of the previous presidents combined!

There has always been creative bookkeeping in Washington, when it comes to how the money is spent and where it comes from, but the present administration is creating and exploring territory never before even dreamed of. We are truly boldly going where no man has gone before. Problem is? We don't have a way to get back!

Barack Obama says to bear with him, this will most definitely get worse before it gets better, but he knows what he is doing. He says that we will have to endure some deficit spending until he can reduce the deficit by half by the end of his first term. Meanwhile, the people aren't paying attention to the balls and the cups on the table, as he spins his lies and hides the balls and the budget from prying eyes.

Doubling and tripling the deficit, then reducing what he has created by half? Well that represents just what precisely in real time and real money? That he is like creating the biggest financial earthquake in the history of this nation? But quickly adding "don't worry because the after shocks won't be all that bad." The present day would be fertile ground for the humor of someone like a Will Rogers, if it weren't so terribly and deadly serious.

No different than how he arrives at much of that proposed saving that he is promising, by projecting last years expenditures on the war in Iraq and extrapolating them to continue for the next ten years until 2019? The messianic one is playing cups and balls and the economic shell game at a maddening pace and the people remain dazed and unable to comprehend what is happening. The reality is that Obama has already said that: win, lose, or draw, we are leaving Iraq completely by August of 2011. So just what money is he saying is being appropriated for continued operations in Iraq for the next ten years?

And what of his plans already on the board on another page of his budget proposal, to take the money now being spent on the war in Iraq and use it to fund his health care initiative and other socialist schemes? Have Americans forgotten Carter and Clinton's so called "peace dividends?"

The WSJ is right, Barack Obama is killing the DOW, but more importantly, he is killing the geese that lay the golden eggs in America's financial markets and in doing so he is killing this nation just as assuredly as if putting a gun to the head of every American an pulling the trigger.

America cannot survive the socialist agenda of the messianic one and his crew of thugs and make no mistake, that is precisely what they are. Having promised the American people that he would go through the budget line by line and eliminate pork and all unnecessary spending? And cut all programs that weren't justifiable? Barack Obama is about to sign a budget increase that this year alone, has over 8000 separate ear marks for more pork barrel spending. And this on the heals of signing the single largest spending bill in the history of this country, under the auspices of stimulus and stimulating the economy!

Last week we saw the DOW drop under 7000 for the first time in a dozen years. Next week? We may very well see it drop below 6000 and the weeks after that may take it and us further and farther into oblivion. This is unsustainable! We cannot continue along this course. Americans were incensed when President Bush stated that we needed to stay the course in Iraq and committed several more hundred billion dollars to the effort. How did that all work out by the way? I mean before right now, where the current president is preparing to throw it all away and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

That's right, two years ago and four years ago, Americans were screaming over the thoughts of hundreds of billions of dollars being spent to preserve and protect this country. But now they are watching their jobs ending and their livelihoods ending and a congress and president spending trillions on corporate giveaways and federally funded and subsidized lunatic socialist proposals, while trillion dollar deficits are discussed as if they were common place and acceptable. And the people by and large remain silent and bewildered.

Where are the Code Pinks now? Where are the Cindy Sheehans now? What about all the celebrities? Anyone heard from Sean Penn or Susan Sarandon or the litany of others who were so concerned for the future of this country? Where is the army of foot soldiers that supported Howard Dean and John Kerry and wailed and gnashed teeth over "lost treasure?" I know where they are. They are the ones who formed into guerrilla bands and formed the legions of liberal special interests to elect the messianic one. And they are the ones who were shouting for change and singing We are the world and Imagine and Cum by Yah to the high heavens not a year ago. But where are they now?

For the most part, this rag tag band of socialist interlopers are silent now, aside for the occasional outburst to hail their messiah. Having won their political victory and turned the nation over to a house and a presidency well on the way toward driving this nation into oblivion, they could care less the outcome or the survivability.

But wait and watch. See what happens when these cheese eaters finally meet up with their just rewards and encounter the cake eaters. That is when the true toll of this lunacy will be revealed for all to see. And heaven help us when it comes, because it is coming. And in the mean time? Those in the rogues gallery like Ron Emanuel and Hillary Clinton and others, are reminding the faithful that now is the time to exploit the crisis.

When Hillary Clinton Gave that supposed "Reset" button the the Russians this week? I'll bet they looked at each other and smiled the knowing smile. They know that there is no reset button for America, only the self destruct button. And they know that Barack Obama and Hillary and Emanuel and Shumer and Pelosi and Reid and Frank and Dodd and all the rest have their collective fingers on it and are pushing for all that they are worth.
