Something that is beginning to concern me, is the seemingly unique American trait of apparent inability to read the writing on the wall. And by newspaper men no less! Could that be due to their lack of formal biblical education and understanding of the book of Daniel? And is this something unique to their industry, or does this malady exist in this country across the board? Or is it something unique to this point in human history and the apparent overt amount of stupidity rampant in otherwise sane and rational people. Which rises to and gives reality and added feel to the term "the dumb-masses" IMO.

What part of this do these stupid ****s that own these newspapers not get? They are collectively at the least five years behind the technological social curve! If not more! In a day and time when cell phones have replaced wrist watches for the telling of personal time by the up and coming masses and Ipod's and Iphones are the current techo gadgets du jour? What part of this did these keen witted newspaper people miss. What is it about Blackberries and personal communication devices geared to the internet and not the sale and coupon pages in the Sunday inserts of newspapers, that these mind brains of print media have missed.


Newspapers are yesterday's news. (Pun intended) And that isn't going to change and no amount of putting lipstick on the pig is going to make the reality more appealing or make these newspapers "more attractive to potential buyers." Short of someone looking to stock a newspaper history museum like perhaps say the Smithsonian? No one is interested in Gutenberg's invention anymore. Hello! Bill Gates passed him up techologically about twenty five years ago now with a gadget called windows office and word!

Small town newspapers will of course continue on (for a while), as people still enjoy picking up the local paper to see and read about their childrens sports teams and local exploits. But these publications too will succumb over the next five years. And the epitaph for big city major dailies has already been written and is over as far as I am concerned. It's just that these editors and former news moguls of the print media either don't see it or they refuse to see it.

Newspapers have gone the way of the Dodo bird and the Mayan and Incan civilizations of old. And someone needs to write their obituary (for them apparently) and move on.

The War Is Over! Halleluyah!

Finally! this blasted bloody war is over! Maybe now we can get back to the proper business and concerns of daily life in these United States. Without all this rubbish of worrying about what one or the other little disgruntled Muslim might be planning for us today.

As someone in the UK recently pointed out to me, there are more people dying from poor health care than there are terrorists or Muslims working in hospitals. So the time to retire this dog eared maxim of "war on terror" is long past it's shelf life.

And what better person to ring in the clarion call to reason than newly minted Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

THE HAGUE (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Monday the Obama administration had dropped "war on terror" from its lexicon, rhetoric former President George W. Bush used to justify many of his actions.

"The (Obama) administration has stopped using the phrase and I think that speaks for itself. Obviously," Clinton told reporters traveling with her to The Hague for a conference on Afghanistan, which Bush called part of his "global war on terror."

I think it speaks for itself too. Who better to put an end to all this nonsense than the wife of the man who sat and fiddled (diddled) while the new Rome burned.

All that is missing from this dawning new age of Obama's socialist dream? Is a new deal for the procurement of hand rolled cigars from Cuba and blue silk dresses from North Korea. That would at the least make Bill happier....but I digress.

The term war on terror was coined in a different era. At a time when America had been recently and viciously bloodied. That was over seven years ago now. A veritable lifetime in the fast food and instant gratification mentality of generations X and Y.

The attention spans of many in those two generations are equivalent to a baby duck. Every day is a brand new day to them and they forget all that was experienced the previous day. And they literally abhor having to be reminded about the mundane things of past tense like history and what happened then. "This is all so yesterday."

So moving on is the thing to do and the Obama administration is certainly prepared to both move on and capitalize on the short attention spans of their google eyed minions.

Meanwhile, our friends in the middle east and elsewhere, see this as an opportunity to rekindle and re-validate their own self worth in the world. And they will not rest on their laurels or take any respite from their commitment to serve Allah to the best death for the infidels.

Baitullah Mehsud, who has a $5 million bounty on his head from the U.S., said Monday's attack outside the eastern city of Lahore was in retaliation for U.S. missile strikes against militants along the Afghan border.

"Soon we will launch an attack in Washington that will amaze everyone in the world," Mehsud told The Associated Press by phone. He provided no details.

So in the interim. In the time that it takes to wait and see what happens and whether or not we survive the next attack, we can make more plans to spend the money that we don't have recovering from the drunken stupor that was created by the Clinton years of books cooking and weapons trading to our enemies. And don't forget the runaway spending of congress that followed in the wake of previous recessions and burst bubbles and the recession/depression that besets us now. Barack Hussein Obama is about to lead us all into the promised land folks. So pick up your rose colored glasses and sun screen as you enter the new era of yes we can. It promises to be one helluva ride and apparachik puppet show.

The Volkswagen GM Connection

The news initially reported yesterday, that the CEO of General Motors, Rick Wagoner, intended to step down effective immediately. Within minutes, the Drudge Report was carrying a banner that declared that Wagoner had been forced to resign from his position as GM CEO by President Obama.

Secret talks on the eve of the pending presentation by the president today, of the federal government's intentions and plans as it concerns the American auto makers and further bailout loans, appeared to have sparked Obama's demand that Wagoner step down from GM immediately. And apparently, as the new chief stake holder in the company, the American government carries the clout to make boardroom decisions concerning both policy and management of the company.

I remember thinking at the time that I was reading all this yesterday, "am I one of the few that finds this bizarre?" Certainly this is not the first time that an American president has interjected himself into the affairs of mega business in this country. Teddy Roosevelt was the first to do that with his supposed square deal of busting monopolies and his support for labor unions in the early 1900's. And I dare say that if this was the direction and intent of our current president? And the circumstances were similar? Then the people might very well embrace this man and give him free rein to implement a more progressive and balance agenda of handling the present economic crisis. But this is not 1901 and Barack Obama is no Teddy Roosevelt.

What is being proposed now and what I am seeing put forth by this administration, is very reminicent to me of another part of the early twentieth century. That part where a newly elected leader of a nation stepped up and took control of national companies and steered them in the fashion that "he" saw fit.

In 1933, shortly after taking over as leader of Germany, he teamed up with Ferdinand Porsche to make changes to his original 1931 design to make it more suited for the working man, thus founding volkswagen. Personally, I believe it is a fair question to ask: Is there a Dr. Ferdinand Porsche in the wings of the Obama administration? Because the similarities between national socialist Germany of the 1930's and post modern America of the present are striking to me.

I believe that "The People's Car" is already on the federal government's drawing board and has been since the moment that Barack Obama won election.

Obama: More Failing Foreign Policy On Display

The United States has been the recognized and respected leader of the world for the past seventy odd years. Singly because we had both the mettle and the determination to do the right thing when called upon or challenged by either friend or foe. America stood for and represented the strength and fortitude of a moral nation in the face of all who would challenge our right or our freedom in the world. Or that of our friends or those to whom we extended our umbrella of protection for that matter.

We stood toe to toe and eye to eye with the Soviet Union, while Europe cowered at the thought of Russian T-72 tanks rumbling through the streets of Paris or Brussels or London in post WWII. And they had good cause to worry and be afraid of just such events potentially coming to pass. They had just witnessed what a well armed and undeterred fascist foe like Nazi Germany could accomplish when left to flaunt all known world authority unchallenged.

And they subsequently witnessed what happened in the streets of Budapest when the Russian bear flexed its post war muscle in 1956 and later in 1979 with their invasion of Afghanistan.

And each time that the world collectively held it's breath, they were also collectively looking to America for it's response and leadership in the face of threat and crisis. The world was also looking as were the enemies of America, to see what forms of threat and deterrence would be tabled by America to counter the proposed threats of those who chose to challenge freedom and democracy on any front.

There never was any question what America's response would be when the Soviets crossed that line in October of 1962 with Cuba. The world saw quickly again that the sleeping giant was not one to be toyed with and the Soviets backed down. They saw the same revisited during Ronald Reagan's era when all believed that the Soviets were unstoppable and consequently the best counsel of the appeasers was to beg for the best deal that we could muster from the Soviets and tuck tail and slither away.

Reagan and America refused. He saw the reality and he seized the moment in time to force the Soviet hand. He ordered our missiles deployed in Eastern Europe and the Soviets folded. As a result, he not only walked away the winner in Reykjavík and subsequently, but four years later his genius and insight would be witnessed and proved to the world, when the Iron Curtain finally fell on the heals of the collapse of the Soviet Union. And that wall didn't fall from age or faulty construction. It fell because Ronald Reagan and America had eroded the forty plus year foundation of fear that had supported it and held it up and allowed it to exist.

Now America is once again in the midst of one of the most trying times in world history. Islamic fanaticism is on the rise and so is radical Muslim inspired terrorist ideology and theology. And while we face down these new enemies to freedom, there are others who will observe our resolve or lack there of and seize the moments that are provided to them for their own best advantage.

As the rogue nations see Americans draw apart and the nation drawn father and farther into isolation from those who once called us friends in Europe and elsewhere, those like Kim Jong Ilk in North Korea and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Iran are literally chomping at the bit to see what they can get away with. Especially under the tutelage of an inexperienced and apologetic administration that is more concerned with putting forth it's socialist ideology than it is with the safety or success of it's people.

Mean while, many will attempt to blame the current disorder of the world on the conflicts that rage in the middle east and America's supposed dabbling in the region historically, but the seeds for what we are now witnessing were sown long before the planes crashed into the towers on September 11, 2001 or since. When America and it's allies turned away from the successes that had been obtained by defeating communism on the largest of scales and then set about to busy themselves ignoring the rest of the world's festering problem, the die was literally cast for what we are seeing today.

Sometime in the next week or so North Korea (AKA communist North Korea led by a dictator and tyrant who is starving his own people to death and probably executing people by the thousands weekly) will launch a missile. They claim that it will be a rocket launch. Rockets being vehicles that carry payloads into space. Missiles being vehicles that carry payloads back to earth. But why bother with semantics. He intends to violate international law and UN sanctions that prohibit him and his country from engaging in said activities. But there won't be any cowboy George around this time, to stand up and say "Hey! Wait a minute there little fella! You can't do that and if you do? There are going to be some severe and immediate consequences."

The bottom line is that everyone in the world seems to know and recognize that the North Koreans intend to test a ballistic missile capable of intercontinental range within the next two weeks. The fact that they are hiding their intent behind their supposed peaceful contribution to the global space programs is complete and utter BS. But never mind that. Everyone knows who is the big dog in that end of the playground. Everyone know who has the ships and assets and anti missile missiles in that theater.

And now? Everyone knows that not a damn thing will be done about these latest communist ambitions. Barring official protests at the UN and a few late night phone calls with presumable heavy breathing between diplomats. Aside from that? Nothing will be done and North Korea will be further emboldened and so will the other renegade enemies of America in the world.

William Gates (American Defense Secretary) gave the final game away this morning to the media when he was queried and answered.

Gates: U.S. Not Prepared to Respond to North Korea Missile Launch

The defense secretary told "FOX News Sunday" that the United States can do nothing to stop North Korea from thumbing its nose at the international community by test-firing a long-range missile.

Gates didn't say America wouldn't do anything. He said that "America can do nothing." Now, if anyone knows anything about diplomacy and the buzzwords and attention to language that is parlayed between nations in matters such as this? They might be tempted to invoke that famous acronym of retort "WTF?" Or possibly, "WTF!" Perhaps even add a few more exclamation points for emphasis!!!!!

In his first sixty days in office, Barack Obama has demonstrated time and again that he is a novice at best when it comes to understanding the intricacies of the job of presidency. And as many people attempted to point out back during the presidential race, the White House is no place for on the job training for this inexperienced novice. But we are stuck with him now.

Not that there is any real apprenticeship or journeyman program of preparation for the presidency, but as a rule? Americans have for over two hundred years at the least attempt to find leaders capable of demonstrating leadership and resolve and determination in the face of adversity and conflict or international challenge to American sovereignty. But not now.

Certainly Barack Obama isn't the first time we have missed the mark on those counts when selecting a president, but he is certainly the most dangerous selection to date IMO. Even more so than his predecessor Jimmy Carter. And Carter is the one singly most responsible for Islamic fanaticism in the world today.

Barack Obama's administration and his handling of present American and world crisis'? May very well rival the abject failures of Neville Chamberlain and others who gave the game away while attempting to play high brow parlor games with dictators and tyrants in the 1930's and don't forget, the other big boys on the playground are watching all this play out.

How America handles this situation with North Korea and this renegade missile launch? Will certainly dictate and determine responses and policy from our adversaries the Chinese and the Russians. And it will most certainly lead to more brazen provocations and lines crossed by the likes of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Iranians. And IMO? It will also go a long way in the immediate future, with how the Israelis and their new president approach the Iranian nuclear threat.

These are dangerous times that we are living in. Far more dangerous that any other point in modern history IMO. And we have a man sitting in the seat of president of the Unitied States, who is handling the position as if it were a roll playing game with a reset button and cheat codes.

For those who failed to note Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's FUBAR with the Russians two weeks ago? There was a lot to be read between the lines politically, diplomatically, physiologically and metaphorically with her little red button incident and who and what inspired it.

Who in the hell in the real world of international policy and statesmanship and diplomacy, offers another country a metaphoric reset button? Other than someone who is approaching his duties and responsibilities as if he is on some kingdom quest for jewels and treasures in a make believe world of roll playing and do overs.

This isn't a game. This is very real and our very lives and livelihoods depend upon decisions made in Washington. And from what I can see of late? We have reached the point where the lunatics are in charge of the asylum. And we put them there.

The EU Turns on Gordon Brown

G20 summit: blow for Gordon Brown as £1.4 trillion spending blueprint is leaked

The news on this broke late Saturday afternoon in America. Which means it was probably close to midnight in Europe when Brown and the rest of the UK contingent to the G20 learned that their grand plan had been compromised and leaked to the media.

What I find interesting about all this, is that on the surface the points that Merkel and ultimately Sarkozy have balked on are the issues of tax reductions.

Brown's proposal stated: "We are determined to restore growth, resist protectionism and to reform our markets and institutions for the future.

"We believe that an open world economy, based on the principles of the market, effective regulation and strong global institutions, can ensure sustainable globalisation with rising wellbeing for all."

There are only two real options for putting the brakes on these runaway western economies globally. First, line by line reductions of ALL non essential budgetary spending. Second, the reduction on production taxes and income taxes. In other words, taxes that tend to penalize economic growth as opposed to helping it along.

Taxation is a necessary evil, but it need not be a punitive tool employed beyond the requisite needs of any society. Yet this precisely the path that taxation has always taken. Someone some where in the food chain of government or at it's head, determines that more money can be raised for thus and such. And those additional funds will go for purchasing and spending for the interests and benefit of those in the elected or representative system. In other words, those taxes will be use to pay back those who voted for them and to pay off those who will vote for more of the same.

Russia plans to create Arctic military force

Straight from the pages of the present, comes the news that the Russians are wising up to the global game of oil reserves. and the fact that there stands to be an entire "undiscovered country" of oil reserves beneath the polar ice cap just to their north.

A place that has always been inhospitable and unforgiving and before now, nothing of any great interest to any of the world powers. Each has from time to time sent their science projects to the Arctic, but none were interested in or hoping to exploit either military or natural resources advantages over the others in the northern hemesphere.

But now? All of that appears to have changed. We are literally on the cusp of a real life "Ice Station Zebra" showdown scenario between two or more of the world powers in the northern hemisphere. Russia and America. Which should raise the question rightfully so, "if the super powers go after each other in their oil rush to the Arctic? Then where does that leave the rest of the world and who is left to claim the Antarctic?

Meanwhile, the stage is being set for a conflict of titans between America and the Russians over the militarization of the Arctic. And while lines are being drawn on the ice shelf and each country's assets are being pushed farther into the great white north to stake claims, there are others like the Canadians, (Canada says will defend its Arctic) who rightfully believe that they too have a vested interest in their border and their own natural assets bordering on the Arctic.

Right now? My money is on us and the Canadians. I think we are far better situated to cooperate adn get what needs to be gotten from a joint venture.

Police identify 200 children as potential terrorists

Drastic new tactics to prevent school pupils as young as 13 falling into extremism

From this morning's Independent:

It would seem that Sir Norman Bettison, (the chief constable of West Yorkshire Police) and Britain's most senior officer in charge of terror prevention (reportedly), might easily be compared to King Leonidas I and his band of Spartans of Greek legend.

Both Bettison and Leonidas being potentially thrust into pitched battles against the invading Persian hordes and certain death and destruction to follow in the wake of the Muslim Xerxes invaders if left unattended. But this time around it is the Islamic fifth column already in their midst that concerns constable Bettison. And there is no pass at Thermopylae this go round where the defenders can make their stand, last or otherwise.

Quite the contrary, the invaders have already landed. Much the same as when the Greeks were invited in by the Trojans during a subsequent period of Greek conflict and for the pittance of a cobbled horse. But that is another part of history and best not confused with the metaphoric telling of this chapter and analogous comparisons between Thermopylae with Yorkshire.

In any event, Chief constable Bettison is afraid that there are at least 200 already in his midst, having previously been groomed by "radicalisers" as he calls them. Possibly doodling and scribbling in their primer books at school. Tell tale signs like pro Al Qaida Graffiti and other such give aways. These of course being evidentiary traits and actions that were missed with the July 7 2005 bombers, but have subsequently and apparently been noted with this group.

And who are these current saboteurs and interlopers and assassins? Well they are the children of Muslim parents living in West Yorkshire (and elsewhere) of course. Or at least some of them are children. Both post and pre-pubescent it would appear, but radicalized none the less and preparing for those swift and fatal blows that will lead to the glorious awakening of Islam in greater Britain it would seem. And constable Bettison is on top of it and pursuing the potential violators to ground.

Bettison has remarked that these may be model citizens and may seem to have been integrated into British society? But surface appearances can apparently be deceiving when dealing with potential terrorists. (You have to hand it to him. Old Bettison is sharp as a tack with the realizations and identifiers) The plan of the police (or scheme as it is called) is for the police to work hand in hand in the community with Muslim leaders, to identify these radicals and their radicalizser mentors apparently.

This plan (scheme) of the police, was apparently first hatched in Lancashire and Lambeth and is now making it's way through the midlands before heading directly into London and the rest of the UK. With the intent being aimed at identifying these "impressionable children" before they can be radicalized by the faith of their fathers.

I particularly liked this part of the scheme:

Once identified the children are subject to a "programme of intervention tailored to the needs of the individual". Sir Norman said this could involve discussions with family, outreach workers or the local imam, but he added that "a handful have had intervention directly by the police".

And God (or Allah) only knows what that handful who were intervened directly by the police must have experienced.

And then followed up by this part of the report.

This is some very good stuff!

He stressed that the system was not being used to target the Muslim community. "The whole ethos is to build a relationship, on the basis of trust and confidence, with those communities," said Sir Norman.

"With the help of these communities we can identify the kids who are vulnerable to the message and influenced by the message. The challenge is to intervene and offer guidance, not necessarily to prosecute them, but to address their grievance, their growing sense of hate and potential to do something violent in the name of some misinterpretation of a faith.

"We are targeting criminals and would-be terrorists who happen to be cloaking themselves in Islamic rhetoric. That is not the same as targeting the Muslim community."

They certainly aren't targeting anything here. They are building ethos on the basis of trust and confidence according to the scheme. (There is that word again). Never the mind, that for this program (programme) to work, these Muslim children must abandon their religious upbringing or at the least allow police authorities to cull the parts of their faith that they might find offensive or dangerous to those non Muslims and practitioners of other faiths and beliefs in the UK.

Anyone else seeing the dichotomy here? Anyone else noting the asinine and insidious trappings of the politically correct once again gone mad? Yet at the same time, these supposed protectors of society? Are once again attempting to masquerade the reality that they themselves know to be the truth. And yet they are hiding it behind the facade of some bizarre form of cobbled together ethos scheme of cooperation with those known to desire their death and everyone else's?

I dare say, you can't have it both ways. You can't have it where these or any other people are allowed to come into your culture while bringing their own, then using it to supplant yours for the benefit of theirs. Then expect them not to adhere to what you have allowed, permitted and encouraged of them to be raised in the midst of. Then seemingly, to turn on a wink and a nod and say well tidy up now! We'll have none of that! As we are all in this together and about doing the right thing and all such as that!

If you believe all that? Then this is more comedy than even Monty Python was capable of assembling for routine consumption a generation ago.

Beware! of the "White People With Blue Eyes!"

I have often wondered what was at the root of all evil in the world. And once again it seems to have been revealed to be none other than the white Anglo-Saxon protestants at the heart of it all. Well....maybe not the protestant part, but the white Anglo-Saxon and blue eyed part seems to be a recurrent theme with some.

After all, there are more than a few blue eyed atheist and others running about, therefore, we can't blame all of our troubles on white Christians, blue eyed or not.

Brazil's President, while meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown Thursday, said the global financial crisis was caused by "white people with blue eyes."

And Gordon Brown certainly can't be blamed for the world's troubles can he?. After all, he doesn't have blue eyes and the poor man can barely see as it is. Although I wonder? Do you think he took offense to the remark by Brazil's president? Perhaps the reference to the eyes or to his skin color? Either way, there was no apparent reaction on the part of PM Brown. I mean aside fro the obligatory apology and promise to commit more money that the British and the western world don't really have right now.

And besides....according to Downing Street? President Silva's remarks were made for "domestic consumption." I'll have to remember that. For come the appropriate time in the future when someone in the UK takes exception to anything said outside of the natural borders of the UK.

Never worry! It was for a play to domestic consumption! I imagine that Bin Ladin will even find amusement with that level of asinine and apologetic, not to mention pathetic logic.

How Is Your Personal Crisis Coming Along

As the American and global economic crisis has developed over the past year? How have you done? There was a time when not that many people were "in" the stock market and before that? There was a time when not that many people owned their own homes.

That's right....imagine that! Well actually, you don't have to imagine. All you have to do is look back to 1929 and the "great depression." And you will see that those who lost their ass in the great market crash of 1929 were actually relatively few. the problem came from the trickle down effect that it had on everyone else.

And there in lies the problem and the reality IMO and in my experience. I am "in" the stock market, as are millions of other Americans. We are "in" the stock market not as major players or major investors, but as members of collectives and pension funds. We were told the best way to insure our futures and our retirements was to "get in the game" and get vested in stock investments via our retirement plans.

I for one remember a few years ago when the Enron debacle hit. Tens of thousands of people lost their life savings and their futures when Enron tanked and was shown to be cooking the books. But these were the fools were the ones who put all their eggs in one basket and weren't diversified. Right? Well apparently not. Especially if you have been watching your own 401K or other retirement account over the past year.

It would seem that it made no difference who's basket you kept your eggs in. They are all swimming in broken egg shells and scrambled eggs right now. And those responsible? Well we are told that the culprits are big banks and big Wall Street firms who took advantage of the people's money. But is that what really happened? Or were the people once again betrayed by those supposedly charged with protecting our interests?

I say it was the latter.

Surely, there are those on Wall Street and on the boards of these big banks who have gotten well from the fattened and now slaughtered calf America, but were they not allowed and encouraged by those who were sworn to protect us? that's right people....there are those who were sworn to protect us. Were they soldiers or policemen asleep at the gates? Certainly not! Our police and military swear oaths and promise to protect and serve both the people and the constitution.

But guess what? So do our "elected representative!" That's right! Your congressman and your senator and your governor and your mayor and your council member and country board manager? They have all sworn allegiance to you and promised to protect you and your interests.

And you know what? They have long abandoned their promises and obligations and sought instead to enrich themselves at your expense. And you and I have both permitted and encouraged it by our collective failure to respond and react and throw the bastards out!

The news is filled daily with the stories of those who have made it and those who have made out and those who will survive while you and I are left with the dregs of reality to wonder whether or not we and ours will survive all this. There was a time when i would have argued that regardless of how bad it gets or how bad it seems? The interlopers in congress and the White house would never destroy the entire country over ideology. They could never bring themselves to do that, because to do so would mean the imminent end of their own existence.

But that is exactly the point where we as a society have arrived. We as a nation are sitting here quietly watching our nation bled to death by special interests and those committed to our demise and we are doing absolutely nothing about it.

George Soros is now celebrating his good fortune. after predicting the demise of the American capitalist system and doing everything in his power to expedite it? He has seen it come to pass and he knows that he was significantly involved in it coming to pass. And he is bragging about it! He made almost three billion dollars by betting against America and playing the system to bring it down. and now? He is quite proud of himself.

Check the headlines this morning and you will see how Soros and others have gleefully reaped billions on the daily demise of what was once a prosperous America. So as i asked at the beginning of this musing....how is your own personal crisis coming along these days? How is your 401K and your retirement investments? What about your savings and your purchasing power in the present current of economic flux and uncertainty?

But never fear...President Obama (AKA the messianic one) is going to rescue you. He promised you change after all and change is what eh intends to deliver. And with the help of those like George Soros and others? You have to know that it's only a matter of time before everything has changed.

Now, whether that is for the better? Well I guess I will just leave that up to you to decide. But in the interim? The Empty Bank of Britain

More bad economic news this morning from the UK. As it seems that the counterparts of the US Treasury in the UK responsible for steering the British economy, have now arrived at the reality that their cupboard is bare and they cannot support more stimulus.

The Governor of the Bank of England laid bare tensions between Gordon Brown and the Treasury yesterday by warning that Britain could not afford a second economic stimulus in the Budget.

Many have cautioned our British cousins for a decade or more now, don't play the game of trying to keep pace with the Americans or it will cost you dearly. That reality burst and broke the Russians when it came to military spending and it has surely done the same now as it applies to consumer spending in the UK. The Brits have truly over leveraged themselves while trying to keep up with their American Jones' cousins.

America....the epitome of the consumer class globally, has stumbled and taken our dear cousins down the pipes with us it appears. The only difference being, that they have far less the ability to recover before scraping their knees to the bone than we do. Not that we will fair any better in the immediate interim, but probably not quite as bad.

Many in the UK have pointed twisted fingers and aimed angered assaults at American consumerism over the past decade in particular. More specifically, the past eight years, as those were the two terms of combined European and British angst against all things American as a result of the Bush presidency. But many warned then and all along since then....to be careful of assailing the American consumer economy, for it was tied at the hip to those of the UK and Europe and Asia and the rest.

And once the jolly giant of consumerism stumbled and crashed to the ground? Was there ever any doubt that many others would be drug down with us or that the long shadow of American spending would reach out and crush those living inside the shaded bows of American economic protectionism.

From where I sit? Mervyn King and Alistair Darling and Gordon Brown had all better roll up their collective sleeves at this coming G20 meeting and pitch in to help the jolly green giant of American capitalism back to it's feet. Either that? Or they had better be prepared to spend more than quite a few bare seasons of doing without while America is left to survive or fail on it's own devices.

There are certain elements and realities that cannot be denied and must be counted on as indicators of the future for us all. Firstly, that America didn't arrive at the present economic disaster in a vacuum or in the absence of loads of friends and freeloaders along for the ride with us. Second? that if the "global economy" is to survive? Those friends and others around the globe had better begin to realize who propels the giant engine and just who's consumerism makes it go.

And the accelerator pedal of growth and survival for this planet, doesn't exist in Brussels at the EU or in New York at the United Nations or in some obscure combination of carbon credits and a third world lottery where Gulliver is wrestled to the ground and captured by farmers and pirates.

The Definition of a Leader

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away. the people came to realize that those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it. Again and again and again.


What is a leader?


A leader must possess character, will, ability, and luck. If these four characteristics form a harmonious unity in a brilliant person, we have a man called by history.

Character is the most significant factor. Knowledge, book learning, experience and practice do more harm than good if they are not based on strong character. Character brings them to their best expression. It requires courage, endurance, energy, and consistency. Courage gives a person not only the ability to recognize what is right, but also to say and do it. Endurance gives him the ability to pursue the chosen goal, even if apparently impossible obstacles stand in the way, and to proclaim it even if it is unpopular, even if it makes him unpopular. Energy mobilizes the strength to risk everything for the goal and the persistence to keep at it. Consistency gives his eye and mind the sharpness of knowledge and logic in thought and action that gives truly great people the ability to reach the eternally wavering masses. These manly virtues together comprise that which we call character. Character, in short, is style and behavior in the highest form.

Will raises character from the individualistic to the universal. Will makes the man of character into a political man. Any man of significance wants something, and indeed is ready to use every means to attain his end. The will distinguishes the man who acts from the man who merely thinks. It is the intermediary between knowledge and action. It is much more important for us to want that which is right than it is simply to know what is right. This is particularly true in politics. What good is it for me to know the enemy if I do not have the will to destroy him! Many know why America has collapsed, but few have the will to end its misfortunes. What distinguishes he who is called to leadership from all the rest is this: He not only has the will to want, but also the want to will.

But in politics it is also important not only what one wants, but what one accomplishes. This leads us to the third characteristic of the able political person: ability. Progress requires accomplishment. Leadership means to want something, and to be able to show the way to realize what one wants. History judges by what has been done. We Americans need to realize that. Politics is a public affair, and one cannot apply the laws of private matters to public matters. We Americans often tend to confuse the desire for something with the ability to do it, and to forgive the incompetent who says that he wanted good and proper things. "We have not brought about socialism," say the November Marxists, "but at least we wanted to." That is irrelevant, just as we do not care if someone wants to play the violin. He must be able in fact to do so. He who wants to rescue a people must above all have the necessary ability.

Character, will and ability, the three prerequisites to leadership, show themselves in capable people. They are either there, or they are not there. The fourth characteristic binds the other three together: luck. The leader must have luck. He must have a blessed hand. One must be able to see that all his actions stand under the protection of a higher power. A leader can lack everything save luck. That is irreplaceable.

The masses do not oppose leaders. They do instinctively oppose usurpers who claim power without having the necessary will and ability. The leader is hardly an enemy of the masses. He shuns only the cheap tricks of mass flattery that feed the people with phrases rather than bread.

The leader must be able to do everything. That does not mean that he understands all the details, but he must know the basics. There are other helpful people who can keep the wheels of politics spinning.

The art of organization is one of the most important factors in the capabilities of political leaders. Organization means rightly assigning work and responsibility. The leader is the master in the clockwork of an intricate political machine.


As an old series use to say, the names and places have been changed to protect the innocent.

The above could have easily been written as a descriptive analysis of one Barack Obama. As it is, it was written sixty six years ago as part of an anniversary celebration in preparation for greater thinks.

The Furor of Der Führer!

In the after glow of yesterday's rocket ride of the DOW and the rise of the stock market by almost 500 points in one day? Americans are greeted this morning with the news of more far reaching proposals on the drawing board of the Obama administration. And we thought that nationalizing the banks was the end of it.

48 hours ago, Tim Geithner was the "Peck's Bad Boy" of the opinionated world of political talking heads and morning media shows. Only to rise like a Phoenix reborn yesterday, with his roll out plan of how to shuffle toxic assets.

And suddenly? Tim Geithner is the mystical guru of all things workable through the powers of an expanded US Treasury and the headlines are blaring "Obama To The Rescue!"

Enter stage left the newest roll out of Der Führer.

The Obama administration is considering asking Congress to give the Treasury secretary unprecedented powers to initiate the seizure of non-bank financial companies, such as large insurers, investment firms and hedge funds, whose collapse would damage the broader economy, according to an administration document.

That's right ladies and gentlemen, President Obama (formerly known as the messianic one) has visions of going after the whole enchilada! In one fatal swoop so to speak. As in his reminiscing with 60 Minutes the other night with Kris Kroft as it concerns his opinion of congressional actions aimed at AIG....."Well, I think that— as a general proposition, you don't want to be passing laws that are just targeting a handful of individuals. You want to pass laws that have some broad applicability. And as a general proposition, I think you certainly don't want to use the tax code—is to punish people."

That was prescient IMO. Or perhaps what we use to call a Freudian slip. A peek in the box so to speak. In addressing Kroft's question, Der Führer may very well have peeled his cards away from the vest and shown his hand and intent as it applies to a wide variety of issues and his version of governance of this country.

And who is Der Führer's lead dog in all this? You guessed it.

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner is set to argue for the new powers at a hearing today on Capitol Hill about the furor over bonuses paid to executives at American International Group, which the government has propped up with about $180 billion in federal aid. Administration officials have said that the proposed authority would have allowed them to seize AIG last fall and wind down its operations at less cost to taxpayers.

So is there any wonder why the man immediately leaped to the defense of Geithner when Kroft questioned his continued tenure as Treasury secretary?

Has he volunteered to, or come to you and said, "Do you think I should step down?"

No. And— and he shouldn't. And if he were to come to me, I'd say, "Sorry, Buddy. (LAUGHS) You— you've still got the job."

But look. He's got a lot of stuff on his plate.

And he is doing a terrific job. And I take responsibility for— not, I think, having given him as much help as he needs.

KROFT VO:

OBAMA SAYS GEITHNER IS NOT ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BANKS, THE BAILOUTS AND THE AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY HE ALSO HAS TO MAKE SURE THE MONEY IS BEING SPENT WISELY AND TO REPORT TO CONGRESS. YET NEARLY A DOZEN HIGH LEVEL TREASURY DEPARTMENT JOBS REMAIN UNFILLED AND GEITHNER STILL HAS NO DEPUTY. TWO PEOPLE UNDER CONSIDERATION FOR THE POST WITHDREW THEIR NAMES AFTER GOING THROUGH THE VETTING PROCESS.

Watch the eyes and follow the money.

President Obama knew then as he knows now, what his grand plan for the future of this nation is. And he is literally in the midst of the largest wool pulling that has ever been attempted in the history of this nation.

If Barack Obama has his way? Or more specifically....those who are behind the scenes manipulating this coup d'état of the American political and financial system, then within the next decade we may very well be calling this man Der Führer.

These are tremulous times folks and as usual, the people are content to sit back and allow others to determine their destiny for them. Just as long as they don't have to worry about the details or watch the sausage making for themselves.

Another Trillion Dollar Gambit

This morning the fed announces it's latest scheme to resurrect the dying American economy. I call it a scheme because it definitely isn't a plan. This time it is Tim Geithner's proposal (scheme) for the fed and treasury to create a new mechanism (scheme) for the "buying up of toxic assets."

Isn't that a novel way of identifying worthless paper? We will just call them toxic assets and suddenly the world is a better and safer place. Because that is precisely what we are talking about. Making the world a safer place once again, after the powers that be in government have succeeded in screwing it up once again in the first place.

Bundles and bundles of worthless mortgages on foreclosed properties that banks were forced to make by the government in the first place, were bundled into worthless pieces of paper that we now have to figure out what to do with before they choke the system to death. Properties that at best will draw 30% of their original value (now) are going to be what? Re-bundled into more appealing bundles of horse hockey?

And the federal Government can't buy up all this loss by themselves,not even when they are printing the money to do it. Because they don't have the tangible assets to back it up with. Not even when they leverage it at 100 to 1. Which leads to the interesting revelation revealed below.

“We share an upside,” said an official, who declined to estimate the amount of loans and securities that could be purchased in the programs or estimate potential profits or losses for taxpayers. But “if we do poorly, they [investors] will do poorly as well,” he said.

Here is a clue scooter..... "If the investors do poorly? Everyone does poorly!" When the investors are driven to ground and driven from the markets by government idiocy and government socialist Tom foolery? The entire system suffers and collapses! When the investors and those who actually create jobs and wealth are penalized and demonized for the sake of socialist Utopian dream worlds and socialist models? Everyone suffers! Including and especially those supposedly insulated government bureaucrats that think they know how to strangle the golden geese in perpetuity!

Personally? I am of the same mind as some of the paid analysts and economists this morning. These corporate managers and investment bankers have been sitting quietly for the past several weeks while the banshees of government socialism wailed and railed against supposed corporate greed and the AIG bailout.

But now these real masters of the universe are about to get their opportunity to level the playing field between them and government socialist ideology once again. For without the money and finances and economic expertise of these people in the real world of finance, the government can do nothing but further drive the economy into the ground. They certainly cannot resolve or reconcile these "toxic assets" that they themselves created without the help of those who hold the real wealth in the world.

Therefore, watch as the real leverage is brought to bear on Obama and Geithner and the rest of these socialist grease monkeys this week. The big boys with the money on the side lines, are not going to continue to play these games with Obama and his crew. Or with Pelosi and that band of rogues. There will either be concessions and "understandings" reached between these corporations and the government on these "bonuses" and who has say so over what their people are paid?

Or these moguls will literally let the whole damn thing go down the tubes, after which they will come back and pick up the pieces after it is all over with and the government has collapsed around itself.

Something people need to realize? Even this socialist crew that inhabits the White House and congress at the moment, is that there is an old adage that best represents the reality of business.

"Money talks and BS walks."

And when the real money of the world has had enough of the touchy feely world of neuvo-socialism? They will balk and they will bite back and they will make things extremely painful for all. For the power to really change things resides with those who hold and turn the screws on the people. And when you make them hurt? They will make you hurt. And they will make you hurt badly.

It's as simple as that.

The Camel's Nose And Your Tent

Anyone else feeling the draft? I mean other than me?

If there ever was a parallel of the camel's nose under the tent, then what President Barack Obama is now proposing to congress is the nearest contemporary example of in the story that I have ever witnessed in real life.

The Obama administration will call for increased oversight of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and possibly other companies as part of a plan to overhaul financial regulation, the New York Times reported.

It hasn't been a week since the calamity of the AIG bonuses and how congress and the White House intends to repossess what they have represented to the American people as the ill gotten gains of Wall Street. But what was actually accomplished via the congressional device of emergency legislation to supposedly "recover" taxpayer funds? Was in essence a true life travesty and bastardization of the American constitution personified!

In my opinion? What we are seeing employed by the Pelosi led congress and the Obama captained White House, is a series of devices designed to open the flood gates to the complete financial destruction of capitalism in America. (and globally for that matter).

Forget about the billions and trillions in bailouts to date and whether the big three auto makers will survive through the summer, or if Wall Street banks and brokers and fortune 500 countries can weather this storm and prevail period.

The entire hen house of capitalism and golden eggs and those who produce them is under full scale assault and attack by the socialist now in control of America's presidency and legislative branch. Which leaves only one of the three checks and balances created by the founding fathers even to attempt to address and thwart that which is presently afoot under the cover of elected representation and democracy in Washington.

Barack Obama and the rest of the rogues gallery now serving themselves to America's bounty are after it all my friends. And they intend to get it in a series of fatal swoops while the American electorate is distracted and concerned about the trivial and mundane. They intend to inflict mortal wounds to this nation while most Americans are watching the talking heads of collaborative media explain to them how everything is going to get better, just wait and see.

And the thieves currently skulking the halls of congress and the White House are using the credo of brazen and polished thievery in the process. Why come in under cover of darkness and attempt surreptitiously, what can best be accomplished by bold strokes and broad daylight armed robbery!

Adolf Hitler succeeded with these tactics of power play by attacking of established institutions by his acclimation of asserted rights for the people. And so have many of the other dictators and rulers of world history. All that was required for them to succeed was a mentally weakened populace and a catalyst crisis and a seeming answer man with charisma and bold promises.

And from where I sit? The levers and pins of the clockwork are once again falling into place for a generational crisis of momentous and global proportions.

But I may be wrong. There may be plenty of cake for all just over the horizon. After all....the cheese makers have promised it.

The New American Tea Party And Your Future

For those who have been paying attention, there is a rising level of anger all across this nation of late. More so in the past six months in my experience than at any other time in recent memory. And the tempo of that anger has risen even higher in the weeks that have passed since the installation of our new president.

I truly believe that a good many Americans were duped into thinking than Barack Obama represented change for this country. but more importantly, I believe that a good many Americans believed that simply changing political philosophies in congress and the White House, would lead to dramatic reversals of the fortunes that everyday Americans saw creeping into their lives late last year.

Well that hasn't happened and personally I don't believe that it is going to happen. While there are those that believe that George Bush used the crisis of terrorism in America to take this country in a direction that it didn't deserve to go? I for one along with many others now know and realize that Barack Obama is now taking this country in a far worse direction that it definitely doesn't need to go.

He has and is using the economic crisis and recession as a spring board to justify the socialist expansion of government on a scale that has never been seen in this country before. Not even during FDR's new deal was the federal government expanded to the point that we are seeing now. And again during Lyndon Johnson's administration of the supposed great society, we never saw the mad rush of conversion and spending that we are presently witnessing coming out of Washington daily.


And I am here to tell you, that when you see the sitting members of congress and those in the media hardly blinking an eye over legislation that they know is in direct conflict with the US Constitution and patently illegal on it's face? Then it is time that the average American had better sit up and take notice. And more importantly, they had better sit up and take action. And they had better take that action soon. The AIG debacle of the past two weeks is just the most recent example of a system of government and management that has gone completely awry.

Congress knew what they were doing when they passed the stimulus package with the AIG bonuses included as did the White House. And they are now in the midst of nothing less than a power grab, they are enacting punitive legislation, designed solely and specifically to punish one group and retroactively change the law after the fact. Both actions being clearly prohibited by the US Constitution!but far worse and far more sinister IMO? It appears that this may have been a set up in preparation for the intended action.

Something needs to be done and the people of this country need to get involved doing it now IMO. If this AIG mess adn the subsequent punitive legislation imposed this week are by design as I believe them to be? Then you can count on more of the same spilling forth from the Obama dam in the weeks adn months to come. This nation will be taken head long into one perceived crisis after another and each time we will be told by congress that the best solution will be the implementation of further and further erosion of American rights and freedoms.

There are two movements afoot right now in this country that I whole heartedly endorse. One is Glenn Beck's "9/12 Project," a link to which can be found under the blog listings on this blog. The second is "The New American Tea Party" movement. Whose concept is fairly self explanatory IMO. At least for those of us who were properly taught our history before we saw our children taught to apologise for it.

The first four years it was an endless stream of accusatory vulgarities seasoned liberally (pun intended) with wild eye accusations of a stolen election, and attempting to utilize fairness as if it were a realistic quantitative.

The US Constitution and the electoral college be damned! These were but mere archaic subterfuge and impediments to what was wrongfully wrestled away from the gleaming realities of liberalism! And as any fool knows, liberalism is the only truth and enlightened path to light our way through an unenlightened and unfair world.

Then again four years later, the wailing and gnashing of teeth could have been heard in the stillness of the Sea of Tranquility on the moon! These people simply didn't get it! And they didn't want to get it. They had lost again! There were no reasons justified or otherwise, for such a travesty of reason or for them to be denied once again that which was rightfully theirs! Meanwhile, they could easily envision a myriad of millions of reasons why those who did not share their unique political visions, should be denied any and all opportunities to express their political desires forever ad infinitum!.

And the recurring theme that seemed to settle in with these partisan angst filled liberal socialist democrats? Their money that was being spent! (not your money mind you, but "their money?) Their money that was being wasted on the war on terror! (which they had no desire to participate in) Which combined to produce the lack of fruitful pursuit of their own social agendas and the abject denial of billions of dollars of what they affectionately referred to as treasure! (their treasure not yours by the way).

That's right friends and neighbors. That is how they look at it. It's not your money, or your taxes, or your shared right of expectation of benefit or reward. It is simply put "treasure." And how all that treasure was being spent (wasted). And how President George W. Bush was racking up unprecedented deficits that would shackle our children to unbelievable amounts of debt for decades to come.

Now....fast forward to the present. Here we sit with our newly minted socialist president extraordinaire. And his presently congressionally supported budgets, combined with his congressionally supported stimulus packages? Each of which are guaranteeing us trillion dollar deficits for the next ten years. More than four times the amount of deficits that George Bush gave us during his best efforts to defend this nation from terrorism over the past eight years.

And just to think? Barack Obama is accomplishing all of this with no plans for expanded our military or any consideration for fighting future wars! Unless of course, you want to consider the full scale war that he has launched against American prosperity and democratic capitalism. The man is literally spending our money like a drunken sailor on a binge and assigning partisan cronies to cabinet positions as if there is no reasonable scrutiny or expectation of recompense to be paid for such frivolous actions.

No one has ever said it better IMO. And no one other than our present messianic socialist president has ever demonstrated it better in contemporary American history.

As each day passes, we stumble ever closer to the great abyss of abject economic collapse and we risk losing all that our forefathers promised their posterity and ours. We are reacting to the political lunacy and fiscal heresy of our present leadership, like drunken prom dates looking for the next glass of punch.

Time is short my friends and we are already so far down the pike that we may be irretrievably beyond the point of no return. But the question rightfully needs to be asked.....are we just going to sit by idly like lams to the slaughter? Or are we going to simply go out in a blaze of glory? By throwing our foot to the gas pedal and careening wildly on our last big binge before utter collapse and destruction?

Or are we as a people going to take a serious look at that tattered and faded document that has held so much promise and foresight and recognize that we are under siege and we need to react in the same fashion as out founding fathers would have inspired and challenged us to two centuries ago.

I say that it is time to take these bastards to task and demand that they fulfill and provide the leadership and service that they promised. Either that? Or we all need to grab a fiddle and join in to a hearty chorus of "Fire on the Mountain Run John Run!"

The Hero of Haditha.... NOT!

For those who may not remember, in November of 2005 there were a number of Iraqi civilians killed, when United States Marines responded to being fired upon and ambushed by a roadside IED which killed one Marine and wounded two others.

The Marines responded accordingly to the attack as they had been trained and according to the rules of engagement and the incident was properly reported to the chain of command in theater, but subsequently a reporter for Time magazine leveled unsubstantiated charges of murder and a military cover up against the Marines involved in the incident.

And before a proper military investigation could even be initiated to look into the allegations, much less completed or adjudicated fairly or properly, US congressman John Murtha (D Pa.) (a former US Marine colonel), branded the eight US Marines involved as murderers. This incident and Murtha's allegations were played out for weeks and months in the media.

Mean while the investigation took almost three years to conclude.

The investigation into the allegations and the initial courts martial of all charged have subsequently been concluded. Charges were filed against the Marines involved and all charges have subsequently been dropped and dismissed against all Marines involved and originally accused in this scandalous prosecution of our warrior heroes. Reason? The Marine Corps had no case to support court marshaling these Marines period!

But to this day, John Murtha has neither retracted his original allegations or apologized to these Marines that he condemned, for his snap judgments and unsupported allegations of murder against these Marines and the entire United States Marine Corps.

And IMO by default, against all who have ever worn the uniform of a United States Marine. (present company included)

And now the kicker.

Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.

The U.S. Navy awarded U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., its Distinguished Public Service Award, triggering an Internet campaign to have Navy Secretary Donald C. Winter withdraw it.

Murtha, who publicly accused U.S. Marines of cold-blooded murder in a firefight in Haditha, Iraq, and was caught on camera in the Abscam scandal appearing to negotiate a bribe, was honored by the Navy for his "selfless devotion to the Nation's Sailors and Marines."

The award credits him with making sure the military services "were provided the resources necessary to effectively conduct the Global War on Terrorism."

"His courageous leadership, vision, and loyalty to the men and women of the Department of the Navy greatly contributed to their quality of life and helped create the most modern and highly trained fighting force in history," the honor said.

As I have mentioned elsewhere today...."travesty" is not a big enough word to adequately cover the actions and accusations of congressman John Murtha in the Haditha incident.

Traitor is the word that comes to my mind. Specifically, giving aid and comfort to the enemies of this country. Via his direct and indirect support of those who regularly opposed and attempted to kill Marines like those who stood accused by the same John Murtha.

Impeachment is another word that comes to my mind when I hear the name John Murtha.

Specifically.....all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors ."

John Murtha is a walking high crime and misdemeanor in my opinion and I ask that all who become aware of this travesty of award by the US Navy, please challenge this award to John Murtha. And ask instead that he be given what he truly deserves, which is the condemnation and utter disdain of the American people.

Special Olympics? Who Needs Em? We Got The O Man!

There must be a lot of people that woke up this morning wondering what the hell their president was doing last night on the Tonight Show. I know that I was one.

Then I see where he has opened mouth and inserted foot and in doing so, should be in preparation of being lambasted for his gaffe. But that won't happen. The media will brush past this miscue of the messianic quicker than a kid recovering a dropped candy bar on the playground.

They will just as assuredly pick this one up and stick it in their pocket as that kid that hopes no one saw the bungled changing of hands of the precious Baby Ruth that bit the dust.

I have to admit, I didn't lose any sleep waiting for the messianic one to appear from behind Leno's curtains last night. But wasn't it the entertainment coup of the century for Jay? I mean the opportunity to sit across from the president on your your own stage and banter politics and humor and allow him to play straight man to your Tonight Show Writers? That must be right up there with Jay's car collection of sweet moments to be cherished for the rest of his life.

Meanwhile, the American people have to be sitting there shaking their heads and wondering what the hell was that?
At least those with more than two cells of gray matter to rub together must be thinking that.

Here is a clue....It's one thing to drop the coat and tie requirement for entrance to the Oval office. It's another thing to schedule regular Wednesday night cocktail parties at the White House for your posse. But to attempt to pitch your policies and questionable leadership skills to the people, while rubbing elbows with Jay Leno and gaffing your way through your appearance in the midst of a crashing economic crisis?

Well that will prove to be a bit more than the average American is willing to stomach in the long run. Especially as the days pass and the reality of the president's failed stimulus and disastrous pick to head the US Treasury continues to lead us down the path to destruction. The American people will fail to see the humor in it period at that point.

I am left to wonder and ponder one thing in the aftermath of last night's ground breaking appearance of President Barack Obama on the Tonight Show. I wonder what Bill Clinton thought and what his read of Obama's push polls will be this morning as a result of his obvious misstep in political gamesmanship and politically incorrect malfeasance.

I think that the master of playing the people (Bill Clinton) has to be chuckling up his sleeve as he reads the reviews this morning. Hell, he may even call Hillary and share the joke with her on TIVO before lunch today.

On a side note....Any other time and especially as it concerns former President Bush? Had George of even approached a politically incorrect gaffe of that magnitude that Obama spake last night, the youtube videos would already number in the thousands with celebratory laughter. As it is? There are several attempts posted presently, by those attempting to show the actual gaffe as Obama made it last night.

Problem is? None of the links are working. Only a small recap by Keith Obermann., who himself has to admit that this was a huge turd of a blunder on the part of the messianic one.

I would have never guessed it at first glance. But once you study the eyes, the identity of satan incarnate becomes apparent. At least to me.

LOS ANGELES — California corrections officials have released a new photograph of convicted mass murderer Charles Manson, who is now bald with a thick gray beard and a swastika scar in the middle of his forehead.

The photo of the 74-year-old Manson was taken Wednesday as part of a routine update of files on inmates at Corcoran State Prison, where he is serving a life sentence for conspiring to murder seven people, said Seth Unger, spokesman for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

The cult leader was first sentenced to death for the 1969 murders of movie star Sharon Tate, coffee heiress Abigail Folger and three others stabbed and shot to death at Tate's home in Los Angeles. The next night, two others were stabbed to death at their homes.

The image was released to the Los Angeles Times because the newspaper requested a copy the next time it was taken.

Manson's co-defendants — Susan Atkins, Leslie Van Houten, Patricia Krenwinkel and Charles "Tex" Watson — were convicted with him after taking the stand and attempting to absolve him by admitting their own deadly deeds.

That has been the wisdom passed down through the ages. But is that what America has been engaged in with the UN and the IMF and a myriad of other nasty little beasties for decades now?

Apparently so.

Apparently, there is a lot of inter-connective relationships that exist between America and all of these entities. and as long as we could keep them balanced and controlled to our best interest, the fact that we spent phenomenal amounts of money in the effort was secondary.

Well the problem now is, we don't have those phenomenal amounts of money to spend on these relationships any longer. and one of the main reasons that we don't, is that we have allowed our system to be systematically dismantled and the wealth passed along and redistributed to those who were once dependent upon us.

And now that they have seen that the great beast America is and can be weakened, they are coming after us in monetary ways that they know will result in our ultimate and timely demise.

Not the least of which is to further destabilize the dollar and the calls for an alternative currency that they (Europe and Asia) can agree upon while they feast over the bleached bones of what was once the greatest economic empire and monetary engine to have ever existed.

The writing is on the wall folks, as evidenced by news articles like this one.

LUXEMBOURG (Reuters) - A U.N. panel will next week recommend that the world ditch the dollar as its reserve currency in favor of a shared basket of currencies, a member of the panel said on Wednesday, adding to pressure on the dollar.

Currency specialist Avinash Persaud, a member of the panel of experts, told a Reuters Funds Summit in Luxembourg that the proposal was to create something like the old Ecu, or European currency unit, that was a hard-traded, weighted basket.

Persaud, chairman of consultants Intelligence Capital and a former currency chief at JPMorgan, said the recommendation would be one of a number delivered to the United Nations on March 25 by the U.N. Commission of Experts on International Financial Reform.

"It is a good moment to move to a shared reserve currency," he said.

Central banks hold their reserves in a variety of currencies and gold, but the dollar has dominated as the most convincing store of value -- though its rate has wavered in recent years as the United States ran up huge twin budget and external deficits.

Some analysts said news of the U.N. panel's recommendation extended dollar losses because it fed into concerns about the future of the greenback as the main global reserve currency, raising the chances of central bank sales of dollar holdings.

"Speculation that major central banks would begin rebalancing their FX reserves has risen since the intensification of the dollar's slide between 2002 and mid-2008," CMC Markets said in a note.

Russia is also planning to propose the creation of a new reserve currency, to be issued by international financial institutions, at the April G20 meeting, according to the text of its proposals published on Monday.

It has significantly reduced the dollar's share in its own reserves in recent years.
